Hillock with his bride, Joyce Bishop of Washington State, U.S.A., both killed in an automobile accident in 1964 while "Bill" was a student at Central Washington State College. Dorilda was educated for twelve years at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Halifax. The Hillocks were married in Currie Chapel at the Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario in 1947 while Frank was on the Directing Staff at the Canadian Army Staff College. They repeated their marriage vows in 1982, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in West Vancouver, with Monsignor P. Mallon (now Bishop of Nelson, B.C.) officiating. Survived by her cousins Dr. and Mrs. D.A. Hopgood and the David C. Malkin (Susan Hopgood) family; children Allison and Ian; relations in Prince Edward Island; very special friends here, in the East, U.S.A. and England. Since 1965, residents of the British Properties and members of The Capilano Golf and Country Club, The Vancouver Art Gallery, Van Dusen Botanical Gardens, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, N.Y., etc. With her husband of forty-five years, a world traveler and patron of the arts. At the end of WWII, Dorilda was presented with a plaque struck from materials obtained from Canadian aircraft, Naval destroyers and army tanks in use 1938-1945, by the National War Finance Committee in recognition of her War work. TEITJEN - Bertha Elizabeth (nee Wilson-Fischer). Bert passed away in Anaheim, CA, November 8, 1997 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Joe and her sisters Irene and Helen. She is survived by her only daughter Dot (Dorothy); four grandchildren Karyl (Les), Kelli (Barry), Rick (Andrea), Lisa (Lance); eight great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. JACKSON - Bob, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on the wings of angels at George Derby Care Centre on Friday, October 24, 1997 after a lengthy illness. His heart said "Goodnight". To cherish his memory Bob leaves his loving wife and sweetheart of 52 years, BettyLou; children Holly (Paul), Dean (Chrissy) and Rob; grandchildren Jennie (Paul) and Brenda (Garry); and great-grandchildren Kyle, Kayleigh, Krystle and Micaela; as well as many relatives and dear friends. His sister Rene predeceased him in 1996. Bob's life was joyful, and he could often be heard saying: "getting there is half the fun". Bob had a successful career with Woodward's stores for 43 years; introduced the Woodward's "Knot Hole Gang"; owned a photography studio and a fish and chip shop in Edmonton; was a leader in Cubs, Scouts and Youth Groups; was active in producing amateur musicals; was a Sunday School teacher and superintendent in the United Church; sang tenor in the Church choir; played trumpet in the West Vancouver adult band; traded in his hockey skates for figure skates to take up ice dancing with BettyLou; and was extremely talented in creating serigraphs and works of art from wood. Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and caring staff at Lions Gate Hospital and George Derby Centre in Burnaby for their kindness to Bob and the family during the past 31/2 years. McKENZIE - John Alexander. Dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 1997. She is survived by her loving family, Mary (Joseph) Dalston, Pat (Tom) Crane, John (Pat) Harding and Ann Cox; sisters Betty and Liza; several relatives in England; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Ted, son Gerard, and son-in-law John Cox. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. MITCHELL - George Alexander, 84 years. Born in Dauphin, Manitoba, died suddenly October 21, 1997. He is survived by his beloved wife Norma; son Ray and wife Betty; daughter Maureen; grandchildren Sheree, Debbie, Dawn, Kelly, Dale, Karen, Darren, Wayne and Del; and eight great-grandchildren. The family moved to the North Shore in 1941 and George is a retired member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. George was an avid athlete, fisherman, outdoorsman, an active member of Silver Harbour and very much enjoyed his family and gardening. No service by request.

LONEY - John (Jack) Alexander passed away Thursday, October 23, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital.
