TERESA KENNEDY (nee Bob)
September 21, 1930 - March 14, 2012

Teresa passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 with her family by her side, at Royal Inland Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her children; Rick (Yo), Michel (Anne), Donald, Terry (Sherry), Darrell, Norma (Jim), Lois and Laurie. Teresa will be fondly remembered by her 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband Donald, her children Danny, Gary, Rhonda and Merle, and her son in-law Allen Canaday.

Teresa was born to Michelle and Agnes Bob on September 22, 1930. She had three sisters, Katherine, Madeline, Sarah and her brother Bobby. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived her life to the fullest. She believed life was meant to be lived. Teresa firmly believed in the strength of family and to care and look out for each other. She had a great sense of humour, words of wisdom, and always a story to tell. She will be sadly missed by everyone who shared her life with her.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in St. Gerard Catholic Church, 512 Brink St., Ashcroft BC with Father Arsenio Balmaceda, Celebrant.

A Wake for Teresa will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops.

Memorial donations in Teresa’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A., 1211-8th St., Kamloops BC V2B 2Y3, if friends so desire.

Roy Gordon Linnen
January 18, 1922 - March 5, 2012

Roy Gordon Linnen of Kamloops passed away on March 5, 2012 at 90 years of age. He will be sadly missed by his loving son Jim (Rhonda) Linnen of Kamloops; Grandchildren Jeff (Krysten) and Amanda (Curtis); Great grandchildren Jenna, Lily, Jayde and Siera. Roy is also survived by his brother Arthur and niece Sharlene (Dave) Hardy.

Roy was predeceased by his wife Jean, son Wayne and brother Lorne.

Roy was born in Francis, Saskatchewan on January 18, 1922 where he met his wife Jean. They moved to Vancouver in 1949 and had two sons. Roy retired from the Vancouver School Board in 1987. Roy enjoyed the Seniors Golf League in Delta. He later moved to Kamloops to be closer to his son Jim and family after his wife Jean had passed away. Roy was a kind and outgoing man who will be greatly missed.

Roy will be laid to rest in Vancouver in May with his wife Jean and his son Wayne.

Donavon Harold Gabriel
January 9, 1955 - March 12, 2012

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donavon Harold Gabriel at the age of 62 years on March 12, 2012 in Kamloops, British Columbia.

Donavon is survived by his three sons; Damien Gabriel of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Sean Gabriel of Kamloops, British Columbia and Stacy Gabriel of Kamloops, British Columbia; Grandchildren Tianna, Tierra, Kayley, Kira and Donovan; Great grandchildren Lindsay. Brothers and sisters: Valerie, Albert and Steven. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Donavon was predeceased by his parents, his brother and sisters: Darryl, Joanne, Roberta, Dennis and nephew Matthew Hicks.

Donavon was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was a talented artist and musician. He was loved by all and had a great sense of humor. Everyone knew him as a ladies man and how he had a way with the women. His greatest love was for his three sons who will carry on his legacy and his famous saying…..”Only a Gabriel” Because anything is possible when you are a Gabriel!

A viewing for Donavon will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:30 pm at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, BC

Harsewak Singh Toor
October 4, 1932 - April 20, 2012

Harsewak Singh Toor of Kamloops passed away on March 20, 2012 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his loving wife Mohinder Kaur Toor; their four children; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers Brazak S. Toor, Harbans Singh and Pritam S. Toor.

Harsewak was a successful business man who was humble, caring and compassionate human. He was a very honest and caring husband. He always wished well for others and had worked very hard all his life. He will always be remembered by his children, grandchildren, numerous family and countless friends as a great human being.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Kamloops Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Mary "Molly" Ellison
November 16, 1928 - March 23, 2012

Mary “Molly” Ellison of Kamloops, British Columbia passed away on March 23, 2012 at 83 years. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel “Harry,” children Carol (Gord) Brown of Prince George, Anita Ellison of Prince George, Dan (Karen) Ellison of Nanaimo, and Mark (Gail) Ellison of Kamloops, grandchildren Josie, Dan, Chris, Amanda, Brook, Jessica, and Dusty, numerous great grandchildren, and brothers Joe Wilson and Jim Jefferies. Molly is also survived by many other family and friends.

Molly was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Wilson and her brothers Bill and David Wilson.

Molly was born November 16, 1928 in Vancouver, BC., the youngest of four children. At 17, she married her childhood sweetheart Harry.

Molly and Harry had four children and called many places home, including many years in Prince George. After retiring Molly and Harry enjoyed many long road trips across North America.

They moved to Kamloops to be near their youngest son and his family. Molly gave her time volunteering at the Women’s Institute and creating many beautiful treasures which her family will always adore. Molly will forever be loved and missed by all of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Molly’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops.. Chaplain Mary Widmer officiating.

A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Chung for all her support and special care for Molly and her family.

Doris Kobayashi
March 11, 1926 - March 14, 2008

Doris passed away peacefully on March 14, 2008 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice House after short bout with cancer.

She leaves to mourn her passing, husband Shig Kobayashi; son Robert (Sandra) Jamieson; granddaughters Catherine (Mark) Lupin and Heather (Clark) Wright, and five great grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, and Benjamin Lupin, Hannah and Mia Wright . Also surviving Doris are her siblings Margaret (Tommy) Thompson, Wray (Beverley) Carlberg, and David (Jean) Carlberg; her in-laws, the Kobayashi family, stepchildren Shaunna (John) Kennedy, Kim (Bob) Embury and their daughter Mika, Pat (Celia) Kobayashi and their daughter Janine, Allison (Emmanuel) Proulx and their children Alex & Jenna; and much more extended family.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Bob Jamieson.

Doris was born on March 11, 1926 in Vancouver BC, and was the eldest of four children.

As a young woman she worked in a prefab sawmill and also worked at Spencer’s Department Store in New Westminster. She moved to Kamloops in 1952 with her husband and son. She was a long-time employee of Galloway Ellis Drug Store, a job that she truly loved. She was employed there until her retirement in 1993. Doris was a diligent worker and she excelled in window displays. She won the trophy for “Best Dressed Window Display” during Downtown Trading Post Days in 1983 and 1984. Doris loved Kamloops, she always felt it was the best place to raise a family. Her home and family were her passion, and she found great pleasure in admiring the wonderful flowers grown by her husband. Doris was a very warm-hearted person who accepted people with no pre-conceived ideas or agendas. Her sense of humour, wonderful smile, and positive attitude will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Forever Loved

Garry Wourms
August 3, 1951 - March 24, 2012

On the morning of March 24th, Garry Wourms passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 60.

Garry is survived and cherished by his loving wife Jacquie of 36 years and their children, Ben (Lyann), Peter, Erin (Andrew), David and Rachel, and grandson Gavin. He also leaves behind his loving mother Eunice Wourms, seven brothers and two sisters, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Daniel Wourms.

Garry was a great husband, dad, papa and friend to all he met along the way. He loved to hike and camp with his family and friends. Garry was a devout member of the Knights of Columbus and a faithful 4th Degree Knight.

We, the family, would like to send out a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Montalbetti, Dr. Proctor and all the wonderful staff and caregivers at the Kamloops Hospice.

Prayers will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 30th at St. John Vianney Parish, 2826 Bank Rd., Kamloops. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Saturday, March 31st at 10:30 am, presided by Father Fred Weisbeck and the Kamloops Clergy.
