FEROLETO, Maria - Sunday, 10 Jun 2007

It is with great sadness that on June 10, 2007, Maria Feroleto (Minelli) passed away in Monteal in her home at the age of 69.
She will be remembered
always for being the most wonderful mother of Patrizia, Kirk, Rick and Dawn. Grandmother and Nonna to Connor, Nigel, Seth and Josh. She will also be deeply missed by all her other family and friends who were a big part in her life.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Salvatore Feroleto.
The celebration of her life will take place on June 13, 2007 at St. Thomas a Beckett Church in Monteal, QC and her ashes will be layed to rest alongside with her husband Salvatore in Chilliwack at a later date.

DUNHAM, Michael (Papa) - Saturday, 09 Jun 2007

Born in St. John, NB July 19, 1925 to Francis and Florence (Cooper). With great sorrow our beloved father, grandfather, soon to be great grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on June 9, 2007 at Chilliwack General Hospital with his family by his side.
Mike lived in many places during his life including Montreal, QC, Windsor, ON, Victoria, BC before he settled in Chilliwack in 1976. A veteran of World War II, he served his country with the West Nova Scotia Regiment in Italy and Northern Europe.
Predeceased by his brother Frederick.
Survived by children: Paul (Dorothy), Comox, BC; Michale, Chilliwack, BC; Doreen (Fred), Windsor, ON; Eugene, Micheal, both of Edmonton, AB; Bernadette (Ralph), Chilliwack, BC;
brother Frank (Elizabeth) Dunham, Bridgewater NS; sister Judy (Tony) Prescott, Calgary, AB; many grandchildren, the closest to him being, Brandon, Cameron, Brianne, Andrew, Kelly, Alysha, Regan, Dena and Paul, 6 nieces, 3 nephews, and friend and companion for 40 yrs. Robekah.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2007 at The Masonic Temple at 1:00p.m. with Pastor E. Martin officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.

MAY, Ruth Winnifred - Saturday, 09 Jun 2007

The family of Ruth May is sad to announce her passing on June 9, 2007.
Ruth was born on February 12th, 1916 in Renfrew, Scotland to Sidney and Daisy Beckwith. The family immigrated to Canada where Ruth later met and married George Arthur Peet in Edson, Alberta in 1935 and who predeceased her in 1973.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Allan Peet (Patricia) of Penticton, BC, Lorraine Baycroft (Don) of Langley, BC and Doris Fithen (Ernie) of Red Deer, Alberta.
Special memories are cherished by ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In 1974 she married Russell May in Edmonton, Alberta and they moved to Chilliwack. Russ passed away in 1979.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 16th, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Cooke’s Presbyterian Church in Chilliwack.
Interment will take place in Edmonton, Alberta on a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.

KAIGHIN, Constance Viva - Saturday, 09 Jun 2007

1924 - 2007
We regret to announce the passing of Constance Kaighin at Chilliwack General Hospital on June 9, 2007. Connie was born on November 13, 1924 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. She married Maurice Kaighin on June 9 1945. They lived in Iraq for six years and then moved to Canada in 1957. The lived in Vancouver, Coquitlam, Langley and then Chilliwack. They resided here for more than twenty years. Connie was predeceased by her husband Maurice in 2002. She is survived by her sister Jean Mirkovic of Fremont, Ca.; niece Julie Strombaugh and great nephew Daniel Strombaugh of Valparaiso, Ind.
There is no service by request.

BEESON, Deb - Saturday, 09 Jun 2007

Debra Beeson of Chilliwack passed away on June 9, 2007 at the age of 54 years. Born in Calgary,Alberta, Debra was the loving wife to Brian for 31 years, mother of two sons, Daryl ( Monique) and Patrick; and grandmother to Darby.
She is also survived by her six sisters, Judi, Wendy, Patricia, Brenda, Gerri and Jackie, three brothers, Dan, Tim and Desi. She was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Lita Horrigan and her brother Kelly from Victoria.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack,
If family and friends so desire, memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.

LUCAS, John Henry - Monday, 30 Jul 2007

John Henry Lucas passed away peacefully July 30, 2007 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 81 years. He was born May 18, 1926 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
John is survived by his loving wife Pauline; daughters, Laura (Kurt) Rossnagel and Sandra (Todd) Haight; and his brother Norm (Mary) Lucas of Montreal.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. followed by a Graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at the Legion Cemetery on Little Mountain.
A reception is being held in “The Lounge” at 9175 Edward St. Chilliwack, following the service.

WALKER, Russell - Sunday, 29 Jul 2007

(Nov. 5, 1959 - July 29, 2007)
Sadly, we must announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our partner, dad, brother, uncle & dear friend Russell Walker on July 29, 2007 at Penticton Regional Hospital.
Russell was pre-deceased by his parents and grandparents, and is survived by his long-time companion Sandra Stuppard; their children: Andrew and Kimberly Walker; sister: Joyce Pickering and her family Ken and children Michael and Amanda; brother: Robert Walker and his family Patti, son Kelly and grandson Devon; plus numerous relatives in both Canada and Scotland.
Russell’s community involve–ment extended to both the Chilliwack Giants Minor Football League, as well as actively supporting the Chilliwack Huskers every game day.
Russell could also be counted on to be cheering on his children in every sport they participated in – often taking time off work to make sure he was there to see his kids play. His kids happiness and success was his life’s focus.
Russell will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Exhibition Grandstand Stadium (besides Prospera Centre) on August 17, at 1:00 p.m. No formal attire please. Refreshments to follow.

LINDNER, Edith (Edie) - Sunday, 29 Jul 2007

(April 1, 1950 - July 29, 2007)
Edith passed away at Chilliwack General Hospital after a serious illness.
She is survived by her parents Robert and Emma Lindner; her siblings Horst Schreiber (Maureen), Ilse Link (Ulrich), Alfred Lindner; her nieces and nephews Jennifer, Karl, Phillip, Ann-Marie; and her friend Louis Larson.
Edith was born in Germany and came to Canada with her family in 1954. Family and friends were very important in Edith’s life. She enjoyed taking care of her cats and her garden.
A service will be held on August 15 at 2:00 p.m., at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack.

ATTRIDGE, Leonard - Sunday, 29 Jul 2007

(Oct. 25, 1929 - July 29, 2007)
Leonard was born in Port Arthur, ON. He spent his working life as a member of the Armed Forces.
He retired in 1982 and made the Chilliwack area his home.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lenora.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, and good friend, Kitty McNeill.
A luncheon will be held at Branch #280 Legion Hall on Aug. 9, 2007 at 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.

MURRAY, Greig - Saturday, 28 Jul 2007

(Jan. 2, 1959 to July 28, 2007)
Passed peacefully and with dignity after a brief illness.
Greig was an avid sports fan (most importantly hockey), and in younger years was very involved in local sports.
He is survived by brother Bruce (Jo Ann) Muirhead, and sister Sarah (Bill) Whitwick. We’ll miss you Li’l Bro.
There will be no service by request.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

STEPHENS, Thomas William - Friday, 27 Jul 2007

(July 15, 1962 – July 27, 2007)
Thomas William Stephens passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 45 years. He was born July 15, 1962 in St. Therese, Quebec.
Tom is survived by his wife, Pearl; children: Ryan, Kyle, Stephanie and Kaitlin; grandchildren: Blake and Bailey; mother, Thelma; and sisters, Susan, Cathy and Trish.
He was predeceased by his father, William.
Tom was a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. He and his sisters were raised by their mother, Thelma after loosing his father, William, to cancer at a young age.
He battled his own illness (Crystal Storing Histiocytosis) for over three years and was an inspiration to many with his strength. While he never gave up, he also helped his family and friends prepare for his death.
Tom worked very hard all of his life, doing everything from banking to farming to finally a computer technician at NCR, where he greatly excelled. He was often found helping others with their computers.
Tom was the Referee in Chief at the Abbotsford Touch Football League for many years as well as the Assistant Head Coach at the Chilliwack Giants Midget Team in 2003.
“It was the most memorable year of football he had coaching those young men.”
He had a passion for the game and was a great asset to the team helping lead them to the BC Finals to win second place.
His wife and children would like to thank the many friends and family who helped throughout his illness, as well as the doctors and nurses who did everything they could to find a cure and to make him comfortable.
He had a love of the Lord and a peace about him and will be surely missed.
A memorial service will be held on August 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Christian Fellowship; Pastor Dan Dyck officiating. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
