He leaves a legacy of love and many cherished memories with his wife Henriette (Tinant); and their six children, Doug (Barb), Jeanine (Ron), Lawry (Denise), Christal (Gord), Susan (Kyle), Ken (Joanne); 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Clarence was born in Sidney, Man., Aug. 23, 1919. He left there to serve in the Royal Canadian Air Force in August 1941. In August 1945 he began a new career as a trainee with Manitoba Renewable Resources and was stationed in Lac du Bonnet, Man., where he met and married Henriette on Sept. 12, 1946. Never one to stand still, his career took him to Winnipegosis, Mafeking, and The Pas, Man. His weekends and evenings were spent building curling rinks, restoring antique cars and engines or tending the beautiful grounds of each and every family home. He retired in April of 1982 and moved to Mitchell, Man. In 1997, Clarence and Henriette came home to Lac du Bonnet to be with family and friends, old and new. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Manitoba or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2005, 2 p.m., at Russell Funeral Home, 437 Park Ave. W., Beausejour, Man. VICTORIA MARGARET PASTUSHENKO Monday, June 20, 2005, at the Ste. Anne District Hospital, Victoria Pastushenko of Winnipeg, Man. passed away at the age of 69 years. Victoria was born Nov. 3, 1935 at McMunn, Man., to Nicholas and Pelagia Pastushenko. All her life she struggled with Cerebral Palsy and was looked after by her parents in McMunn. In 1991, when Victoria was 55 years of age, and her parents were no longer able to care for her, she was placed in the Luther Home in Winnipeg, where she remained until her passing. June 19, Victoria's sister brought her out to McMunn to spend a few days with her there, when she suddenly took ill, was rushed to the Ste. Anne Hospital, where she passed away. Left to mourn her passing are her two sisters: Anne (Dave) Semenko of McMunn, Nellie (John Bjornson) of West St. Paul, Man., and their families. Victoria was predeceased by her parents, brother George, and sister Mary Peters. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held June 24, 3 p.m., at Ste. Mary Riverside Cemetery, Prawda, with Pastor Jerry Spoor officiating. A memorial service will take place at the Luther Home, 1081 Andrews Ave., Winnipeg, at a later date. FRANK EDWARD MARYNOWSKI March 7, 1950 - June 18, 2005 June 18, 2005 at 3:05 a.m., at the St. Boniface General Hospital, my beloved husband Frank was gently lifted by angels' arms and peacefully whisked away to meet his Creator. He leaves to mourn his wife and soul mate of 33 years, Ghislaine. He also leaves behind his mother, Mrs. Annie Marynowski; sister Mary Arseny (Bill); brothers: Bobby (Gwen), Eugene (Marion), Paul (Marilyn), Rose Naherniak (Rev. Oris), and Russell (Marilyn). He will also be greatly missed by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nephews, nieces and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Walter, Sept. 2, 1975. Frank was born March 7, 1950 on the family farm in Zhoda, Man. He was the fifth of seven children. Frank went to work in Winnipeg, Man., but would always return home on the weekends to help his parents, and continued to help his mom right to the end. He married the love of his life and soul mate, Ghislaine (nee Balcaen), May 6, 1972. Frank was a kind, gentle and loving man. He would help anyone who was in need. He was deeply loved by his nephews and nieces and he in turn deeply loved them. He enjoyed teasing, playing and teaching them many of life's lessons. They could not wait to see their Uncle Frank. He would always have some kind of treat hidden somewhere for them. Frank loved to go out to the cottage at Dorothy Lake. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He just could not wait to get out onto the lake to catch the "Big One". He would begin to prepare for the hunting season months in advance! It was not the actual hunting or fishing; it was the enjoyment of spending time with his friends. Frank started out in the construction industry at an early age and proceeded to work his way up to become general manager of a well-respected water works company. Then in 1990, he decided to venture out on his own, became an entrepreneur, and created Franlaine Construction. Being the perfectionist that he was, he soon had many loyal customers who would rather wait for him to do the job than go elsewhere. Many of those customers became good friends. His friendly, sociable, and outgoing personality attracted people to him. He was everyone's friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to George Maneluk, Jarvis Swereda, Roy Naurocki, and Jarvis Korchak for always being there for Frank during his illness. Also a thank you to all the nurses at St. Boniface Hospital Oncology Department for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided. Funeral services were held at St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church in La Broquerie, Man., Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 10:30 a.m., with viewing one hour prior to the service. ISAAC N. HILDEBRAND Feb. 22, 1920 - June 21, 2005 Peacefully in his favorite rocking chair, Isaac N. Hildebrand left his earthly home to spend eternity with his heavenly Father. He will be lovingly remembered by Margaret, his beloved wife of 63 years; his children, Rose and Henry Peters, Norman and Lydia Hildebrand, Walter and Martha Hildebrand, Gladys and Terry Terichow, daughter-in-law Elviera Hildebrand, Jim and Diane Hildebrand, Charles and Lillian Hildebrand, and Eleanor Guderian; as well as 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three brothers, two sisters, and their families; the Krahn family and many friends. He was predeceased by two sons, John Albert in infancy in 1945, and Edwin Abe in 1985; two grandsons; three brothers; one sister; and his parents. Dad was born in the Glencross School District on his parents' farm. During his childhood and youth Dad developed a life-long love for animals, especially horses and cattle. In February 1941 Dad accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord during special evangelical meetings in the Glencross church. In June 1941 he was baptized and became a member of the Glencross Rudnerweider Church (now EMMC). As a result of the evangelical meetings 19 young people were baptized that day. One of the young women who was baptized the same day was an attractive, dark haired teenager, Margaret Krahn, who soon became his sweetheart and wife. They were married May 3, 1942. Dad and Mom raised their eight children on a farm in the Valleyfield School District. They moved to Morden in 1976, but Dad never fully retired. Even on the day of his death he checked the cows on the "Wiebe farm". Whenever Dad checked the cows and called out "Come Boss" the cows and their calves came running towards him. The cows and calves will miss him. Dad and Mom had a beautiful outing the day of his death. They drove to Altona and Gretna to see the storm damage from Sunday's storm. They visited Mom's birthplace in Rosetown to see if the old trees were damaged, and had lunch at Chicken Delight in Winkler. One of Dad's greatest interests was spending time with family and friends. He leaves a great legacy of helping others. Everyone who knows him can relate stories of how he helped them. His optimistic and positive attitude and genuine love for people was evident every day of his life. Dad and Mom shared a love for Bible camps and Bible schools and enjoyed seeing their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow in their spiritual journeys. Although Dad's unexpected and sudden passing will leave an emptiness in the lives of those who love him so much, we take great solace in knowing that he is now with God and other loved ones. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21: 4 A celebration of his life was held Saturday, June 25, 2005 in the Glencross Mennonite Church, with burial in the Waldheim Cemetery. CAYER 1928 - 2005 Peacefully, July 6, 2005, Florence Cayer of Vassar, Man., Mom, Mémère, Grandmémère, passed away at Roseau Area Hospital at the age of 76. She was predeceased by her sons, Wayne and Lance; parents, Ovide and Louise Coté; brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Raoul, Rene, Emilien and Louis. She will be greatly missed by her husband Richard; her daughters, Karen (Ghislain), Deena (Jim), daughter-in-law Beatrice; grandchildren, Jesse (Michelle), Keane, Tania, Chantelle, Jayse, Vanessa, Devin, Brett; and great-grandchildren, Tyree, Shaunti and Kayven. Flo will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters, Lucien (Lorraine), Lucie, Leona, Therese (Ted), James (Louise), Aime, Denis (Margaret), Alice (Roland), Rita (Henri), Doris (Marvin), Ovide (Beverley), Anita (Gilbert), Robert (Evelyn), Emile (Rita); and her many relatives and friends. Mom was born Dec. 9, 1928 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Man. She grew up in Moodie and Vassar, Man., with an abundance of siblings to keep her company. She married Richard in 1948 and they were blest with four children. Her family meant everything to her. Her cheerful disposition and quiet strength will be greatly missed. One of her few passions in life was cooking, gardening and family get-togethers. She was greatly involved with the Vassar Catholic Women's League and other community events. "Each of us in our own special way remember you with love today. You will always be in our heart. We love you Mom." The family wishes to thank Dr. Herseth and the staff at the Roseau Area Hospital for their support and compassionate care. We would like to express our gratitude to the Home Care workers for their devotion. Arrangements entrusted to Helgeson Funeral Home, Hwy. 11, Roseau, Minn. Abe Fuchs Peacefully, in the presence of his wife, Abe Fuchs passed away June 28, 2005 at the age of 77 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his soul mate of 50 years, Agatha; two children, Jim (Krystal) and Beve (Norm); grandchildren: Nikki, Kendra, Rae-Dawn, Victoria, Dylan; siblings: Minnie, Leonard, Viola, Marianne, Karl (Evelyn), Helen (Jake) and Waldo (Marge); two special aunts, Minnie and Agnes. Abe was born Nov. 9, 1927 on the family farm in Lowe Farm, Man. to Emil and Annie Fuchs. His construction career began with 10 years for Paul Braun Const. and the Department of Highways. He was renowned for his exceptional skills as a grader operator for 35 years with the R.M. of Hanover. He wed Agatha Friesen Sept. 10, 1955 and they became inseparable. Retiring in 1991, they took immense pleasure in camping and maintaining their acreage in Kleefeld. The granddaughters have fond memories of frequent sleepovers. This blissful period abruptly ended in 2004 with a fall resulting in renal failure. Abe struggled valiantly to recover. He kept his amazing foresight and analytical mind to the end. It was these skills and the devotion of his wife that enabled him to prolong his life for more than a year while we learned how to let him go. The family is grateful for the gift of each one of these days. A celebration of Abe's life was held Monday, July 4, 2005, 11 a.m., at the CMC church at 479 Hanover St., Steinbach, Man., with viewing from 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at the Steinbach Heritage Cemetery followed. Active pallbearers were his nephews: Edward, John, Travis and Russell Friesen, Patrick Fuchs and Richard Chomokovski. Flowers gratefully declined, but donations in Abe's memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3M 2K8 would be appreciated. Special thanks to the many friends, family, United Church and staff at HSC and St. Boniface hospitals for their care and support during Abe's illness. Don't grieve for me, for now I am free I'm following the path that God laid for me, I took His hand, when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found my place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembering the joy. Michael Myskiw It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Myskiw, aged 82, July 1, 2005 at the Vita & District Health Centre. Mike was predeceased by his father Harry in 1957, mother Nellie in 1985, brother John in 2004, and two nieces in infancy. He leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers: Sophie (Leon) Zaretzky (Swan River, Man.), Anne (John) Wintoniw (Steinbach, Man.), sister-in-law Elsie (late John) Miskiw, Mary (Peter) Sopiwnyk (Caliento, Man.), Olga (late Morris) Marynowski (Zhoda, Man.), William (Anne) Myskiw (Zhoda), Jean (late Eugene) Bilawski (Zhoda), Doreen (Dennis) Tysoski (Winnipeg, Man.); and many nieces and nephews. Mike started farming at a young age; then took over the family farm when his dad passed away, which remained his residence. His hard work was balanced by his love for music and friends. He was a musician in a band and was always more than happy to assist others when an accordion player was needed. Upon his retirement, Mike focused his interests on having fun and enjoying the company of family and good friends. He could often be found at the Friendship Centre or entertaining at the Care Home and the Shady Oaks Lodge. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. DORA FRIESEN 1932 - 2005 Dora Friesen of Steinbach, Man. passed away Saturday, June 25 at the Bethesda Hospital at the age of 72. She is survived by Albert (Elizabeth) Friesen, Annie (Jake) Reimer, Mary Penner, Jake (Helen) Friesen, Betty Reimer, Abe (Mary) Friesen, Harvey (Doris) Friesen, Helen (Dave) Loewen, plus many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob W. and Mary Friesen; brothers, Frank and Peter; sister, Liesza and Lillian; brothers-in-law, Jacob C. Penner and Abe B. Reimer; sisters-in-law, Adina (Frank) Friesen, Annie (Albert) Friesen, and Mary (Jake) Friesen. The funeral service was held Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel.
