Carole H. Lentz
Suddenly on Sunday, May 3, 2003, Carol Lentz passed away at Concordia Hospital. Carol was born July 24, 1937 in Transcona, Manitoba, where she was educated, lived and worked all her life. She attended Success Business College, then worked at CN for twenty-eight years until her retirement in 1989. Carol was an active member of the NDP, and sponsored a number of children through World Vision International’s Foster Parents Plan.
Carol will be best remembered for her humour and her love for life. There will be an empty seat at Birthday Club gatherings and at the local Sals where Carol often went to meet her friends. Carol’s family is grateful to Concordia Hospital for the care she received as her MS worsened this past year. Also to Dr. Wozney and to the homecare workers who made it possible for Carol to remain at home.
Left to hold her memory dear are her son Glenn Ward, his partner Jody Baltessen and grandsons Connor and Hunter; sister-in-law Betsy Lentz; niece and nephews: Carla and Richard Charles and their children Chelsie, Andrew and Jenelle; Troy and his children Eddy and Katelynne; Ryan and Shannon. Carol was predeceased by her parents Leo and Elsie Lentz, and by her brother Bill. A Memorial Service will be held at Transcona Funeral home, 1800 Day Street, on Tuesday, May 13 at 1:00. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Manitoba Division greatly appreciated.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John George Sinclair of Peguis First Nation on May 19th, 2003 at the age of 64 years.

Ivan James Ronald Seenie
Tragically on May 2, 2003 at 8:15 p.m., Ivan James Ronald Seenie, aged 32 years, of the Roseau River First Nation passed away. Ivan is survived by his parents Ronald and Gloria Littlejohn; his wife Betty-Lynn; sons Michael and Todd and daughter Alexandria; brothers Greg(Aldine) and David(Cheryl); and sister Cindy(Derek). He is also survived by his mother-in-law Debbie Govereau; sister-in-law Rachael Govereau; and by his aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, too numerous to mention. Ivan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Napoleon and Maryanne Seenie, and paternal grandparents Sam and Alice Hayden. Traditional wake services will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2003 at the Roseau River First Nation Community Hall, with funeral service on Wednesday May 7 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roseau Okii-Jida members.

Entered into rest at the Huronia District Hospital on Saturday, May 3, 2003 in his 96th year. Lloyd Henry of Midland, husband of the late Adeline Casselman. Father of Shirley Moreau (Jack) of Midland, Paul Henry (Lois) of Penetanguishene, Ethel Charlebois (Phil) of Toronto, Arthur Henry (Rose) of Oshawa, Betty Meecham (Ed) of Port McNicholl, Lloyd Henry Jr. (Janet) of Oshawa, Barbara Willette (Gary) of Midland, June Brodie (Neil) of Toronto, Jack Henry (Cleo) of Oshawa, Joyce Hooper (Doug) of Toronto, Helen Benish (Glenn) of Toronto and Susan Poole (Ralph) of RR #1 Port McNicholl. Grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of Lola McDougall (Malcolm) of Ottawa, Ruby O’Shaughnesy of Ottawa, and the late Ethel.
Resting at the River of Life Assembly Church, 170 Eighth Street, Midland on Monday, May 5th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the church on Tuesday, May 6th at 1 p.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Janina (Ivanna) Tyrawski passed away peaceful in the presence of the Lord on April 23, 2003 at Concordia Hospital, beloved mother of Rev. Deacon Stefan (Maria) Tyrawski, Jaroslawa (Marian) Jaworski, Peter (Anna) Tyrawski; grandchildren Bohdan and Oksana Tyrawski, Dorotka Jaworski, David, Lucas and Vanessa Tyrawski; sister of Jaroslawa (Edward) Paknis, nieces Maria (Craig) Gosek and Angela Paknis.
Panychyda will be sung 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 28 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29 also at the Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Divine Liturgies for the repose of her soul or for the needs of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral.

Augusta Louise Schultz
Augusta passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital after a brief illness. Predeceased by her son Edwin, Gussie will be missed by her sisters, Ella Kemila, Emma Wiebe and Hilda Hiebert, brother Albert Schultz, daughter-in-law Betty Schultz and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital for their kindness during her stay. Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway #1 East at Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Anastasia "Nettie" Zurawel
Peacefully, on Saturday, April 26, 2003, Nettie Zurawel passed away Holy Family Personal Care Home, at the age of 90 years.
Nettie was predeceased by her husband Nickolas and all of her siblings. She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her son Eugene (Carolyn), granddaughter Teresa and great grand-sons Andrew and Aaron.
The family would like to thank the staff at Holy Family Care Home for the compassion and care given to Nettie over the years.
In accordance with Nettie¹s wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held.

Stella Homeniuk (née Taraschuk)
Born in Sky Lake, Manitoba in the year 1919, passed to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1988. She is survived by her daughter Romona, and her husband Lance, and two grandchildren Kenneth and Candace. Also survived by her loving sisters, Mary McKay and husband Jack of Victoria, British Columbia, Natalie Rezka and husband Bob of Carefree, Arizona, Terry Havlik and Olive Carter both of Winnipeg, Manitoba and brother Steve Taraschuk and wife Mary of Arborg, Manitoba; numerous nieces and nephews, including those on William’s side of the family. She will be dearly missed by everyone. May she rest and be with God. Mother, You cared for me and loved me You told me I was special Only God knows why he chose you and me And He knows how dear you are to me. I will always miss you I will never forget you. Frederick Joseph Robinson
At St. Luke’s’ Place, Hespler, on Sunday March 30, 2003, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Effie Verna Robinson. Dear father of Christopher and Elizabeth (Garry) Kempinski, both of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ginger (Sean) Merpaw and Erin (Trevor) Iutzi both of London and his 4 great grandchildren Alexis, Mackenzie, Clare Merpaw and Curtis Iutzi. Predeceased by his sisters Grace, Frances and Vera. Mr. Robinson was a veteran of W.W.II in the R.C.A.F. At Fred’s’ request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Memory Funeral and Cremation Centre 1232 Victoria St. N. Kitchener (579-5580). Expressions of sympathy the Alzeihmers Assoc. or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Lloyd Arthur King
Peacefully, with his family by his side, Lloyd passed away on March 27, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre. Lloyd is survived by his wife Irene and his four children, Beverly (Victor) Pelletier, Bryan (Shelley Waskul) King, Richard King and Melody (Allan) Platsko. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother, Alvin (Evelyn) King. Lloyd was predeceased by his mother, father and his only sister, Audrey Drajeskie. Lloyd was born July 13, 1937 in Winnipeg. He dedicated himself especially to his music and clients at The Art Press Ltd. He was an outstanding member of the Monte Cassino Legion No. 178 and the Lithuanian Club. Lloyd’s first love was his accordion and was the founding member of “The Suspenders”. Lloyd will be deeply missed by his family, a host of friends, business associates and his fellow musicians.
