Yolande J. Martin (nee Rey)

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Yolande J. Martin Thursday August 9th, 2007 at the age of 82.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years Charles, children Charlaine (Cameron McCulloch), Norman (Audrey), Reg, grandchildren Kyle, Colin, Scott, Jenny and Chris, sister Denise Dupont, godchildren Claudette Dupont and Susan Ducharme, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Those who knew her best remember her generosity, sense of humour and devotion to family.

Her continual interest and support for each and every family member has been a great source of strength in our lives.

Every thunderstorm will have us think of her and we will make popcorn and enjoy the show as she always did.

She will be in our hearts and memories forever. We'll miss you Mom.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 13th at 2 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint).

We sincerely thank the gentle and loving care of the staff on Ward 6A of the St. Boniface Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation (237-2063).

EARL GEORGE FLINT
December 22, 1930 – August 15, 2007

Earl Flint made a peaceful final flight departure on August 15, 2007, from St. Boniface General Hospital after 76 years of a full, active, and adventurous life.

He is survived by his wife Helen of 53 years; daughters April Frego (Russ), Sylvia (Tom Benstead); grandchildren Tyler, Lindsey, Dylan, and McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews with a special place in his heart for niece, Arlene.

He was predeceased by his sister Eva and brother Eric.

Earl worked at CNR for 38 years as a boilermaker, spending about 20 years as a union rep. for boilermakers and blacksmiths.

Over the years he enjoyed hobbies from flying glider planes on the field, changing to Flight Simulator planes on the computer after losing his little red plane in a thermal.

Many hours were spent on the computer he thought he didn’t need, from downloading music, burning CD’s, emailing, playing bridge, and making friends all over the world.

Earl was known for never being in a rush.

He talked with everyone and made friends wherever he went, from Winnipeg to Texas.

Earl couldn’t wait to get away from the Winnipeg cold as a snowbird.

Golf was always a large part of Earl’s life, and loved to help others perfect their game.

He had been a member at St. Boniface Golf Course and Pine Ridge Golf Course, and later marshaled in Texas.

His girls named him “Joe Safety” years ago, as he watched over them, and will continue to watch over them now.

The family would like to thank their many friends for their supportive calls, visits, and concerns during Earl’s short illness.

Most especially, they would like to thank the compassion and dignity shown to Earl and the family by the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface General Hospital.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Susan Hauch for her care and empathy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint)

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Earl Flint can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital & Research Foundation, 409 Tache Avenue, Room D 1003, Winnipeg, R2H 2A6.

“We’ll love you forever, we’ll like you for always, as long as we’re living, our Daddy you’ll be.”

Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD.

Guy Warner Sr.

He is predeceased by one brother and two sisters.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Guy's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Special thank you to The Cavenagh Family; we cannot thank you enough.

Jean Gammon
June 3, 1929 ~ August 11, 2007

Albert Falsarella

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Albert on August 10, 2007.

Albert will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Roma and daughter Gina.

His memory will be cherished by his brother Antonio (Santina) and their son Deni (Laura), and grand niece Aurora and also by his in-laws, (his Canadian family), Florida Labossière, Paulette (Robert) Delorme, Denise (Guy) Joubert, Denis (Catherine) Labossière and nieces and nephews Robert, Julie, Natalie, Élyse, Sébastien and Nicolas,

Albert was predeceased by his father Zozimo, mother Caterina, brother Francesco and father-in-law Léopold.

Albert was a generous man who took great pride in everything he accomplished.

He was a skillful tile-setter and his work can be appreciated in many buildings in Winnipeg.

He will be remembered for his love of ballroom dancing, music, curling and traveling.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Rev. Father Roland Tessier officiating.

A private Mass and interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert’s memory to the Riverview Health Centre and CancerCare Manitoba.

The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre and CancerCare Manitoba for their support and care and to all our family and friends who have helped us through this difficult time.

Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
