Every thunderstorm will have us think of her and we will make popcorn and enjoy the show as she always did.
She will be in our hearts and memories forever. We'll miss you Mom.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 13th at 2 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint).

EARL GEORGE FLINT
Earl Flint made a peaceful final flight departure on August 15, 2007, from St. Boniface General Hospital after 76 years of a full, active, and adventurous life.
He is survived by his wife Helen of 53 years; daughters April Frego (Russ), Sylvia (Tom Benstead); grandchildren Tyler, Lindsey, Dylan, and McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews with a special place in his heart for niece, Arlene.
He was predeceased by his sister Eva and brother Eric.
Earl worked at CNR for 38 years as a boilermaker, spending about 20 years as a union rep. for boilermakers and blacksmiths.
Over the years he enjoyed hobbies from flying glider planes on the field, changing to Flight Simulator planes on the computer after losing his little red plane in a thermal.
Many hours were spent on the computer he thought he didn’t need, from downloading music, burning CD’s, emailing, playing bridge, and making friends all over the world.
Earl was known for never being in a rush.
He talked with everyone and made friends wherever he went, from Winnipeg to Texas.
Earl couldn’t wait to get away from the Winnipeg cold as a snowbird.
Golf was always a large part of Earl’s life, and loved to help others perfect their game.
He had been a member at St. Boniface Golf Course and Pine Ridge Golf Course, and later marshaled in Texas.
His girls named him “Joe Safety” years ago, as he watched over them, and will continue to watch over them now.
The family would like to thank their many friends for their supportive calls, visits, and concerns during Earl’s short illness.
Most especially, they would like to thank the compassion and dignity shown to Earl and the family by the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface General Hospital.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Susan Hauch for her care and empathy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint)
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Earl Flint can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital & Research Foundation, 409 Tache Avenue, Room D 1003, Winnipeg, R2H 2A6.
