Mrs. Evelyn Gunhild Lyon
January 8, 1916 - October 2, 2007
Peacefully on October 2, 2007, Evelyn Lyon passed away at Oakview Place Extendicare at the age of 91.
She was predeceased by husband Joseph Lyon, and is survived by son, Zan, wife Carol and her two granddaughters, Caitlin and Lindsay. She is also survived by her sister Mabe Wilding and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Evelyn was a long time resident of Windsor Park.
A special thank you is extended to Bob and Claudette for their endless support throughout the years. Thank you to the Oakview Place Extendicare Facility staff for their utmost care.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
She will always be remembered for her kindness and consideration.

In memory of Alice Boss who, on October 3, 2007, passed away peacefully at Calvary Place.
She was predeceased by her husband Herman of 60 years in 2000.
Greatly loved and missed by her children Phyllis (Matt) of Beausejour, Beatrice (Ken) of Cobourg, On, NormaLee of Winnipeg and Ron (Marianne) of Bowmanville, On, grandchildren Richard, Kerry, Shelley, RaeAnne and Rosalyn and great grandchildren Justin and Chantelle, Logan and Myles.
Viewing and gathering of family & friends Oct 9, 7-9 P.M. and funeral service Oct 10, 10 A.M. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.(south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. Interment at St. Ouens Pentecostal Cemetery at 2:30 P.M..

Mrs. Annette Laramée

Annette Laramée (nee Sabot) passed away peacefully at the age of 70 surrounded by her loving family at her side at Victoria General Hospital.
She will be sadly missed by her remaining 10 children, Paul, Lorraine of Winnipeg, Pauline & Alex of Kenora, Roger & Florence of Vermillion Bay, Eugene of Saskatoon, Gèrard of Winnipeg, Marcel & Ida of Winnipeg, Albert of Alberta, Gilles of B.C. and Denis of Portage la Prairie and Lina & Joe of Richer, sisters, Emilie, Denise, Anna, and Lina, brother Arthur, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Annette was predeceased by her husband Orpha of 29 years (deceased 24 years ago), 1 grandson Renè, her parents, Solange and Eugene Sabot, sisters Euginie and Yvette, and brother Jules.
Mom was born and raised in Richer MB, meeting Orpha Laramée at a dance. They married in June 1954 and raised 10 children living for a time in Vermilion Bay, ON where they made special friends. For the last three years, Mom lived at Villa Youville where she enjoyed going to the Adult Day Care, doing crafts with her friends and seeing Carmelle and Rita.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint)
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Victoria General Hospital for their care and support.

Peacefully, on September 28, 2007, Maria Regado Sunico passed away at the age of 92.
Maria was predeceased by her parent Damaso & Marciana Regado; her 1st husband Eusebio Villamanto and her 2nd husband Pablo Milo Sunico, her daughter Shirley Sunico Villaflor and her son Samson Sunico.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Dalisay Villamanto Edralin and children; Eduardo (Lilia), Edna (Ernesto) Portillo and children; Eva (Froilan) Bulatao and children; Ella Edralin, Amado (Letty) and children Eusebio and Rhea (Antonio) Malapitan, Norma V. Lamay will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight) at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) on Thursday & Friday, October 11 & 12, 2007. Funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13 2007 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 353 St. Mary with interment following in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Gunther Michael (Mike) Kurz
After a courageous battle with cancer, Gunther (Mike) passed peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, October 6, 2007.
Dad was predeceased by his dad, mom, mother in-law, father in-law, and his brother in-law.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Marlene, his sister Ursula, and his three children Michael Jr, Debbie (Blair) Halek, and David. He will be sadly missed by his six grandchildren Amber, Samantha, Vicki, Jason, Christina and Joshua, the apple of his eyes, along with many friends from Canada and Germany.
Memorial services will be held on 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11th, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home 455 Lagimodiere.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses, orderlies and doctors who looked after Dad during his stay at St. Boniface Hospital (Floor 6)

Mrs. Helen Kustra
January 15, 1917 - October 1, 2007
On Monday October 1, 2007 Helen Kustra, age 90 years, passed away quietly at her home. She was born in Sifton, Manitoba on January 15, 1917, daughter of John and Anna Boyko. On July 18, 1932 Helen married Nicholas (Nick) Kustra who predeceased her in 1973. Helen was also predeceased by her parents, brother Murray Gordon and son in law Glyn Stephens. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She had a great love of gardening and baking. Helen is survived by her only daughter, Leona Stephens and 2 grandchildren, Janice Shchepanik (husband Gary) and Lori Stephens (husband Jim Richardson). Her pride and joy were her 4 great grandchildren, Hailey and Jordan Shchepanik, Laurel and Aidan Richardson. According to Helen’s wishes burial has taken place with a private family interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Ozzie Singbeil
March 15, 1931 - October 12, 2007
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ozzie; beloved husband, father, son, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He lives on in the hearts of his wife Dorothy (nee Donald), children, Penny Lynne, Jason (Michelle) and Jodie; granddaughters Sandy (Jason), Jordyn, Brooklyn and great granddaughter Stephanie. Also left to mourn his loss are his mother Martha, brothers Irvin, Gerry (Alice) sisters Helen (Alvin), Ruth (Gordon), his sisters and brothers in law and many, many good friends. Ozzie was predeceased by his father Rudolf, sister Gertie and brother Oscar.
Ozzie was born in Greenwald, MB to Rudolf and Olga. Moving to Winnipeg at an early age, he worked at Malmgren Implements, Canadian Tool & Die and later as a manufacturers rep for various firms. He was introduced to Lee River life by his uncle Ernie in 1955 and there was no looking back. He and Dorothy retired and moved to the cottage on Lee River in 1995.
His family kept him young at heart. His interest changed as he did. From hunting, fishing and trapping to flying, travelling and building anything and everything, puttering in his garage and more recently; golf, golf, golf.
Oz's family would like to thank their special family and friends for their support, as well as the Grand-Man group and Cancer Care. A heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care provided by NEHA home care, nurses and staff and Dr.E. Spence at Pinawa hospital.
A celebration of Ozzies' life will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2:00 pm at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
