Diane May Schlamb

Our hearts are breaking to announce the passing of our dear Diane on Saturday, January 23, 2010. She touched so many people’s lives in the short time she lived.
Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her soul mate of 35 years Eric; daughters Billie Jo, Kelsey and Brittany and their partners Adam, Kevin and Mike; grandchildren Aria, Abbigayl, Garwin, Ryder, Karly and Vanessa; mother Evelyn Foxon; sisters Cathy and Betty and their spouses; brothers David, Richard and Larry and their spouses as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her loving father Laurie.
Diane was born on December 14, 1954 – the fourth child of Laurie and Evelyn Foxon and received her education in Palestine and Gladstone. She earned her hairdressing certificate and established Diane’s Beauty Salon, where she worked until her illness interrupted her passion. She met and married Eric Schlamb on September 21, 1974 and they settled in her “dream home” in the country where they welcomed three beautiful daughters.
Diane was an active member of the community in many areas. She took pride in her many contributions to the town of Gladstone.
Over the 38 years of hairdressing, Diane formed many loyal friendships. Her advice was appreciated by many – young and old.
Home, family and friends were where she found true happiness! Diane was so proud of her family and overjoyed when blessed with grandchildren. The time spent with them was magical, but sadly too short, however, her determination and “spark” will forever be present in her children and children’s children!
No words can ever express how very much we love and miss you!
