INGIBJORG HOLM
August 30, 2004
INGIBJORG (INGA) HOLM Peacefully on August 28, 2004 Inga Holm passed away surrounded by her family. Inga was born December 7, 1909 to Magnus and Ingibjorg Magnusson of Hnausa. She grew up with seven brothers and three sisters. Two died in infancy. With the help of the children, Magnus created a thriving fishing enterprise. It was while working as a bookkeeper for her father's business that Inga met a very special member of Magnus' working crew, Bjorgvin Holm of Framnes. They were married in 1940 and moved to the family farm. Here Inga learned a very different business - mixed farming. Love, farm work and creativity helped overcome homesickness for the hustle and bustle of life with her brothers and sisters. Arborg became home in the mid 1950's. Inga lost her beloved husband Bjorgvin in 1965 in an accident. Family was the main focus of Inga's life. She was a very enterprising, artistic and personable woman whose wit and sense of humour were enjoyed by all. She was an active participant in Lions Place, and she continued to dance weekly until she was 92. She was predeceased by brothers, Jon, Sveinn, Oscar, Magnus, Mundi, Joe, Einar; sisters, Helga and Asta. Inga is survived by sister Jorunn (Bob); son Bud (Jane); daughter Carol (Bill); granddaughters, Carla (Dave), Tanya (Sean), Andrea; and great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Thomas, Maxwell and Thor. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
