She passed away and was reunited with her husband and other loved ones in the presence of her Saviour, Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003. She grew up in Blumenort, Man., in the home of her parents. Her father was the owner of the gravel pits, owned a general store and was a pig farmer. She attended school up to grade 5 in the Blumenort School. As a teenager she did housework in the Blumenort area. She was baptized by her uncle upon the confession of her faith at the age of 17 in the Blumenort Kleine Gemeinde. She married her friend and sweetheart, Abram K. Plett in Blumenort on May 5, 1929. They began married life on the Plett family farm in Blumenhof, Man. A few years later they moved to Prairie Rose, Man. with their first two children to begin farming on their own. After they moved to Landmark, Man., nine more children were born to them. She lost her beloved husband of almost 54 years on April 6, 1983. Although she felt the loss very deeply, she enjoyed many more meaningful years. Two and a half years ago her health started to fail.
