Suzanne Marie Gidney
1953 -- 2002
The death of Suzanne Marie Gidney, of Weyburn Road Moncton, occurred after a short illness at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday December 5, 2002. Born October 17 1953 in Saint John. Suzanne was employed with Moncton Employment Training Services. She enjoyed fashion, music, and loved socializing with family and friends. Suzanne will be sadly missed by her family; Kelly, Cody and Dustin of Moncton, Grampie and Nana Glencross of Rexton, her extended family, as well as her brother Larry Gidney of Sussex and her sister Lynn Knox of Saint John and her many friends at work and in the community. She was predeceased by a brother David Knox. The unique way in which Suzanne touched all who knew her will be forever in our hearts.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road Moncton with visiting hours on Sunday December 8th from 2 to 4 and Monday from 7 to 9 . Her funeral service will be held Tuesday December 10th at 2 pm in Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in the family reception room of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully accepted however donations in Suzanne's memory may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
Yvon Richard
Yvon Richard, 89, of Lakeville, passed away on July 22, 2002 at the Dr.G.L.Dumont Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Cape-Lumière on August 25th, 1912, he was the son of the late Francois and Edmee Richard. He was a carpenter by trade and had been employed with the CNR for over 27 years. He enjoyed playing the violin, traveling and spending time outdoors. A veteran of World War Two, Yvon served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army .
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Laurette Hebert, daughters; Yvonne Allain (Bermand) of Boutouche, Murielle Ellis (George) of Lakeville, Gisele Richard with whom he resided, sons; Paul (Sylvia) of Moncton, Ronald (Therese) of Notre Dame sisters; Evangeline LeBlanc, Anna Mazerolle, Brothers; Raymond (Emma) and Adélin (Rachelle), Grandchildren; Mylene, Rejean, Marsha, Jason, Melissa, Joel, Maurice, Stephane, Joline, great-grandchildren Alexi, and Kamie as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sisters Eva Blizzard, Laura LeBlanc, Doris Dupuis, brothers; Henri, and Léonard.
By request there will not be any visitation prior to the memorial service to be held on Friday, July 26th at 11am in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home with a reception to follow in the Family Reception Room of the Funeral Home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Elizabeth Jean (Betty) Steeves
1928 — 2002
The death of Elizabeth Jean (Betty) Steeves, 74, widow of the late Raleigh Dean Steeves, of Canaan Forks, occurred peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday August 4th 2002.
Born in Moncton, February 24th 1928 she was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Hannah Etta (McFarlane) Steeves.
Betty had been very active in her community where she was a founding member of the Canaan River Sewing Circle and a member and Treasurer of the Canaan River Recreational Committee.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Carole Helen Alward of Moncton, Deborah Elizabeth Leaman (George) of Riverview, Allan (Donna) Steeves of Moncton, Richard Bentley Lewis (Nancy) Steeves of Durham Bridge, NB, Christopher John (Odette) Steeves of Musquadobit Harbour, NS and Stephen Michael Steeves of Canaan Forks; a sister, Gertrude Gay of Borden PEI; sister-in-law, Mae Steeves of Amherst, NS; brother-in-law, Ivan Bent of Sackville, NB; special niece, Coralee (Herbie); 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Steeves and brothers Vaughan and Verne.
By request there will be no visitation. A memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 7th at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of FAIR HAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 1177 Salisbury Rd., Moncton with a reception to follow in the funeral home Family Reception Room. Cremation and interment will be in the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Samuel F. Allanach
1920 -- 2002
Samuel F. Allanach, 82 years, of Grandview Drive, Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday June 2, 2002. Born in Campbellton, N.B., he was the son of the late Samuel and Christina (MacPherson) Allanach.
Sam will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Eileen (Atkinson) Allanach; children Diane (Kim) DeWare, Bruce (Paulette), Shirley (Ron) Hicks, Karen (Terry) Teed and Bill; grandchildren Tracey (Jacques Pinet) DeWare, Jennifer (Steven) Kikkert, Tyler and Adam Hicks, Allyson and Laura Teed, Jessica and Sam Allanach; great grandchildren Harrison and Benjamin Griffin; sister Patsy Johnson of Victoria BC; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Sam was predeceased by brothers Earle, Mac and Bill and sisters Bertha, Jessie, Thelma and Doreen.
Sam had retired from the CNR as Atlantic Regional Welding Supervisor after 39 years of service. He was a member of St. John's United Church and was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the Royal Canadian Navy in Canada and overseas.
Visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton Tuesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Fair Haven Funeral Home chapel Wednesday June 5th 2002 at 2 pm Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. A reception to follow in the Family Reception Room of Fair Haven Funeral Home.

J. Eric Daigle
1923 — 2002
After a lengthy illness, Eric Daigle, 78, husband of Estella (McCarthy) Daigle of Moncton, passed away at the Veteran’s Domiciliary Care Unit on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2002.
Born in Little Aldouane on November 23, 1923, Eric was the son of the late Eusebe and May (Daigle) Daigle. He was a veteran of WWII and served with the Royal Canadian Army, North Shore Regiment in Italy, Holland, Belgium and France. Prior to his retirement Eric was employed at the C.N.R. Freight Shed with 30 years service. He attended St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the former CNR War Veteran’s Club, Sunny Brae Legion, Br. 54 where he held several executive positions, and a life member of the Air Force Veteran’s Club.
Eric is survived by his wife of 51 years, Estella, of Elmwood Drive; daughters Joan Beers (Al Dupuis) of Moncton and Mary-Sue Daigle (Marc Comeau) of Cap-Pele; a son Dennis of Moncton; sisters Ella Robichaud (John) of Moncton and Diana Robichaud (Ernest) of Aldouane; brothers Alyre (Verna) of Fredericton and Paul (Yvonne) of Richibucto; granddaughters Krista and Erica Beers of Moncton and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Joyce; brothers Eloi, and twins Laurie and Emery.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Rd., Moncton, with visiting hours Friday, May 24th from 2–4 and 7–9. The Royal Canadian Legion, Sunny Brae Br. #54 will conduct a memorial service on Friday evening at 7:00 PM. Funeral Service, conducted by Fr. Allison Carroll, on Saturday, May 25th, at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel, followed by a reception in the funeral home Family Reception Room. Cremation and interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Bondina Biggar
1919-2002
Bondina Biggar, 83, of Moncton, passed away on July 15th, 2002 after a lengthy illness.
Born in the Grootegast, Netherlands on January 1, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Tjitse and Froukje (Vander Kooj) Veen Baas.
She is survived by her sons Harry (Phyllis) of Pembroke ON, Ron of Moncton, Peter (Brenda) of Hay River NWT, Paul (Bonnie) of Moncton, a sister Lucy of the Netherlands, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Hazelton Biggar in 1991, a son Frederick in 1981 as well as two sisters and two brothers.
By request there will not be any visitation. A private family service will take place at a later date. Donations, if desired may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
Antoine (Tony) Charles Breau
1933 - 2002
Tony Breau of St. Paul, NB and formerly of Moncton, NB passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday August 8th 2002 at the age of 68 years.
Born in Cocagne, NB on September 23rd 1933, he was the son of the late Vital and Exelda (Bourque) Breau. Before his retirement, he was employed with Muirhead Forwarding, Clarke Transport and Armour Transport.
He will bring with him his fond memories of his many accomplishments and his love and admiration for his family and the many friends and acquaintances that he had acquired over the years. Many came to know him through his love of camping, hunting, fishing, car racing and woodworking.
Besides his wife Yvonne (Cormier) of 45 years, he will be deeply missed by his daughters Odette (Frank Risteen), Edith (Ronald Otterson), Patricia (Normond Benoit), sons Yvon (Sheila Leadbetter), Jean-Marie (Suzanne), Mitch (Cindy), grandchildren “his precious little dozen” Linda Bishop (Derrick), Aaron, Heather, Andrew, Christine, Anissa, Jonathan, Adam, Jaymi, Shawn, Rachelle and Natasha-Toni, sister Lorraine Hébert, sister-in-law Anita Breau, mother-in-law Osithe Cormier as well as his several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Aurèle.
The family will be receiving visitors at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton on Friday August 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 10th at 10 am in The Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home with a reception for Tony’s friends and family to follow in the family reception room of the funeral home. A private family committal service will be held in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
