William (Bill) Harold Fraser

The death of William (Bill) Harold Fraser, 62 years, of Chartersville Road Dieppe occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday May 15th 2003.

He is survived by his three sons Donald of Saint John, Stephen of St Stephen and Jeff of Moncton; three grandsons Zack, Josh and Luke; his life partner and spouse Rose Chiasson of Dieppe as well as his sisters Eileen Beaman of Moncton and Shirley Elliott of Vermont.

At Bill's request there will not be any visiting hours or funeral service.

Isabella Mawhinney

MAWHINNEY, ISABELLA - At the age of 84, at her residence in Quispamsis, NB, on Tuesday, May, 13th, 2003; Isabella Mary Lillian (Brown) (Gilchrist) Mawhinney, wife of the late William Mawhinney of 6 Hovey Road Quispamsis, NB. Born in Saint John, NB she is the daughter of the late Charles and Isabella Brown. Isabella was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 58.

Isabella is survived by her daughters Isabella Miller (Ralph) of Rothesay, NB, Carol Kyffin (George) of Quispamsis, Lynda Sharpe (Richard) of Sarnia, Ontario, and her special daughter Karen Harlow (Larry) of Saint John, two brothers Roland (Connie) Brown and Douglas (Phyllis) Brown all of Saint John, sister Doreen Macaluso (Joe) of Surrey, B.C., nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Isabella was predeceased by sister Grace, brother Charles.

Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Old Hampton Road, Rothesay, NB (506-849-1702) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, May, 17th, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Kings Chapel Reception Lounge. A private family interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Visitation at the funeral home will be on Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donors choice.

Wilfred H. Pilmer

PILMER, WILFRED H. - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday May 9, 2003 after a brief illness. Wilfred Herbert Pilmer, age 54, husband of Wendy (MacDonald) Pilmer and father of Adam and Joey Pilmer. Born in Minto, he is the son of Mrs. Elizabeth (Dorrans) Pilmer of Saint John and the late John Pilmer.

Wilfred was an employee of the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill Saint John for the past 29 years. He and his family were active members of St. Rose Parish.

Surviving in addition to his wife and sons is his mother and two brothers; Rodney and his wife Rosanne Pilmer of Salisbury, Allen Pilmer of Saint John, three sisters; Linda Pilmer of Saint John, Anna Pilmer of Saint John, and Carolyn and her husband Danny Aubie of Kingston Penninsula, also several aunts, an uncle, cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his father and an infant brother.

His remains are resting at the CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1700). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Rose Church 10:30 am Monday May 12, 2003. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation at "Fallsview" Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Following the interment a reception will be held at the "Fallsview" Family Reception Centre.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Jack Page

PAGE, JACK - Occurred peacefully at his home on May 9th, 2003 at the age of 84 after a short battle with cancer. Jack was born in England, the swon of the late John and Nora Page.

He was a veteran of WWII. His work as a construction engineer took him to Australia, New Zealan, Fiji, Saudi Arabia and New Jersey where he worked for many years before moving to Saint John in 1986.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his dear wife Jean, brothers Richard and Dennis and sister Madge.

Jack had a great love for animals, especially dogs and horses and he was an avid gardener.\

He is survived by a sister-in-law June in England and several nieces and nephews as well as close friends who will miss him greatly.

At Jack's request therem will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held at CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1700) on Monday May 12, 2003 at 1pm. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Remembrances can be made to the charity of the donors choice.

Gerald A McQuinn

Gerald A. McQuinn, 71, of Ashley Crescent, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday , May 6th, 2003.

Born in Penobquis, NB on June 24th, 1931, he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Murray) McQuinn.

Gerry retired from Blue Cross as Vice President of Administration after 44 years of dedicated service. He was devoted to his wife and family, and his leisure time was spent with family and friends. Gerry enjoyed golf, bowling, curling, and many outdoor activities. He was an active member of West Lane Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Michael, (Brenda) , Richard, (Sharon), three daughters , Patricia, Susan, and Lisa (Bob), nine grandchildren, Mathew, Courtney, Kyle, Korey, Quinn, Jordan, Joey, Shawn, and Noel, two great grandchildren, Christopher, Zoe, a sister Mary Lou Fillmore, special friend Pat Crocker and his extended family.

In addition to his parents, Gerry was predeceased by his beloved wife Shirley ( Kyle) and brothers Walter and Robert.

Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visitation on Wednesday, May 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 , and Thursday May 8th 2 - 4 and 7-9 . A service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday May 9th, at 11AM. A reception for Gerry's family and friends will follow in the family reception room of the funeral home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

If so wished, Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton.

Donald J. Bourque
1927 - 2003

CAP-PELÉ, NB - The death of Donald J. Bourque, husband of Yvonne of Cap-Pelé, occurred at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, on Monday, May 5, 2003 following a brief illness. Born in Trois-Ruisseaux, on July 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Willie and Eda ( Comeau ) Bourque.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Yvonne ( Légère ); his children Denise Desjardins (Pierre) of Beresford, Léo ( Ginette ) of Trois-Ruisseaux, Cécile Ryan ( Gordon ) of Trois-Ruisseaux, Francine Dupuis (Ronny) of Cap-Pelé, Odette Boudreau ( Normand ) of Petit-Cap, Maurice (Denise) of Irishtown, Ginette Doiron ( Paul ) of CapPelé, Jean-Guy ( Charline ) of Sackville; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Hennessey, Lionel, Cloris, Emeré; sisters, Dorina, Antoinette, Jeanne,and a grandson Colin.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

With respect to Donald's wishes there will be no visiting hours at the funeral home prior to the Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, May 8 at 11 AM at Ste Thérèse d'Avila Church in Cap-Pelé. A reception for Donald's family and friends will follow at the Club d' Age D'or.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home (8523530) 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton.
