Patricia Pearl Allen
The death of Patricia Pearl Allen, loving wife of Fred Allen of Penniac, NB occurred on Thursday February 17, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1942 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Bertrum and Mabel (Miller) Whitlock. Besides her loving husband Fred, she is survived by her two sons Michael Allen (Sandy) of Lincoln and Karl Allen at home; one brother Bertrum Whitlock (Marjorie) of Fredericton; one sister Barbara Allen (Murray) of Penniac; one grand son Travis Peterson of Fredericton; four nieces Connie, Karen, Tracey and Janet.
By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will take place in Penniac United Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424).
Lillian G. Mullin
MULLIN, LILLIAN G. - Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday February 15th, 2005. Born in Saint John, NB on January 8th, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Barnett) Nealy. Lillian is survived by four sons: Robert (Kathy) of NS, James (Wanda) of Saint John, Michael (Lorna) of Saint John, and Chip (Kathy) of Rhode Island; three daughters: Joan (Art) Henry, Shirley (Darrell) Macaulay, and Debbie (Michael) Haynes, all of Saint John; and many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Besides her parents, a son, Patrick, and a daughter, Wanda Legere, predeceased Lillian. Lillian's first love was her family whom she loved dearly; Lillian also loved gardening and sewing. She was a life member of the Jarvis Bay Legion Branch # 53 and an avid dart player for the Ladies and City District Dart League, where she captained the Leprechauns for many years. Lillian was also employed at the Admiral Beatty, York Manor, and the General Hospital for many years.
Arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John, NB (646-2424) with visitation on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Legion Tribute will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7pm. The Funeral service will be held on Friday at 1pm from the Fundy "Chapel". Mary Catherine Marr
Marr, Mary Catherine (Thomas) of Gondola Point passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on February 15th, 2005 after a lingering illness at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Jennie (Blades) Thomas of East Saint John, NB. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil Lawrence Marr on January 21st, 2005. She is survived by her son; Cecil Phillip (Doris) Marr, Balmerton Ont., daughters; Joyann Lillian (Gordon) Thorne, Carol Diane (Dave) Curtis, Sandra Jean (David) Donovan, and Jeanette Mary (Murray) Gray. Ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters; Viola (Donald) Durley, Phyllis (Walter) Peterson, and Shirley (Frank) Wright, predeceased by brothers, William, George, and John Thomas.

With visitations on Wednesday February 16th, 2005, from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:30pm from the Fundy “Chapel”. Cecil H. Targett
Targett, Cecil H. –passed away at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home on Monday February 14th, 2005. Born April 10th, 1909 in Targettville, NB. Cecil was the youngest son of the late John and Mina (Young) Targett and loving husband of the late Jean (Sinton) Targett. He resided at home and worked on the family farm for thirty years. He married and moved to Saint John where he was employed at the Saint John Dry Dock. Cecil and his wife Jean moved to Burlington, Mass. U.S.A. and was employed as a custodian at the Burlington High School until retirement. He and his wife returned to Saint John in 1980 to spend their retirement years. Cecil loved the outdoors, and while at the farm he helped his parents faithfully. His favorite hobbies were fishing and taking care of his horses. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Cecil was predeceased by seven brothers and five sisters; he is survived by a sister-in-law, Rebecca (Fred) Allain of Moncton, NB. Nina R. Stewart
The death of Mrs. Nina R. Stewart, wife of the late Earle Stewart, occurred on Friday February 11, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1927 in Chipman, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Clara (Doherty) West. Nina was an avid bowler and bingo player; she enjoyed her time as a Real Estate Agent with Canada Trust and her years as a practical nurse and loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her loving family: sons, Richard Iliffe (Pam) of Saint John, Eric Iliffe (Vanessa) of Vancouver, Gregory Stewart (Sandra) of Saint John and Gary Stewart (Marlene) of Saint John; daughters Eleanor Ellis (Ken) of Marrtown, NB and Barbara Grissom (Roger) of Alton, Illinois; step sons Glen Stewart (Rosemary) of Trenton, Ontario and Hazen Stewart (Frances) of Boston, Mass; brother Keith West (Mary) of Chipman; sisters Gladys Biggar of Saint John, Edythe Jardine of Chipman, Anne Bishop (Murray) of Chipman and Patricia Jordan (David) of Ripples; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her first husband John Iliffe, brother Gerald West and sister Sylvia Huntjens.

Florence M. Daigle
The death of Mrs. Florence M. Daigle, wife of the late Aurele Daigle, of Rocmaura Nursing Home, occurred on Friday February 11, 2005 at her residence. Born 1914 in Tremblay Settlement she was the daughter of the late Laurent and Gertrude (Aubie) Arseneau. Florence was a seamstress with New System Laundry in her early years. She is survived by her son Louis (Vicki) of St. George; daughter Anne of Dartmouth; brothers Prudent Arseneau, Edouard Arseneau (Therese), Anselme Arseneau, Yvon Arseneau and Martin Arseneau (Rosa) all of Petit-Rocher; sisters Ombeline Leger (Leo) of Toronto and Geralda Guerette of Petit-Rocher; grandchildren: Amy & Marc Daigle, Jessica Logan, Jason, Shawn, Andrew & Sharla Marriott; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Cecile Tremblay.

Georgina Marie Dow
The death of Mrs. Georgina Marie Dow, wife of the late George W. Dow, occurred on Thursday February 10, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1923 in Montreal, PQ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Maude (Brown) Lizotte. Georgie was very involved in her grandchildren’s activities, such as minor hockey and baseball. She is survived by her loving daughters Charmine Vnuk of Saint John and Cheryl Hunter (William) of Markham, Ontario; two step-children, Stephen Dow (Gail) of Saint John and Sharon McAllister (Bob)of Chipman, sister Doris Hughes of Summerville; sister in law Annie Lizotte of Saint John; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers J.Henry Lizotte, Dory J. Lizotte, sisters Mary Bennett and infant sister Elizabeth Ann Lizotte.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) on Monday February 14, 2005 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery. Eileen C. Allan
Allan, Eileen Christine (Black), loving wife for Merle W. Allan passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 8, 2005 at her residence. Born 1921 in Halifax, NS, she was the only daughter of the late Roy B. and Amy H. (Berrett) Black. She is survived by two sons Ronald of Anagance Ridge, NB and Lawrence (Teresa) of Saint John; one daughter Merleen (Donald) Smith of Hampton; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; daughter in law Delcia of Ontario; and several cousins. She enjoyed doing crafts and playing bingo and was a lifelong member of the Women’s Institute.

The death of David Bernard Burbridge occurred unexpectedly on Monday February 7, 2005 at his residence. Born 1950 in Pokemouche, NB he was the son of Elizabeth (Noel) Burbridge and the late Bernard Burbridge. Besides his mother, he is survived by his special friend Michele Hebert; sons Preston (Amber) of Damascus and Christopher (Melissa McGraw) of Saint John; daughter Tammy Burbridge of Tracadie-Shelia and their mother Carmel Losier (Rollie). He is also survived by four grandchildren Caitlin, Tyler, Chloe and Coulton; four brothers Richard (Eileen), Frankie (Jackie), Robert (Linda) and Henry (Wanda) all of Saint John; seven sisters Lydia Robichaud of Pokemouche, Muriel Smith (Whellington) of Saint John, Barbara Mazerolle (Donat) (Special friend Zenon Dugay) of Pokemouche, Kathleen Ram (Paul) of Hampton; Mathilda Ward (Nelson) of Saint John, Martha Dyer (Dale) of Saint John and Pauline Basque (Hector) of Saint John; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A. Wayne Howes
The death of A. Wayne Howes, loving husband of Daphne (Graham) occurred unexpectedly on Monday February 7, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1950, in Youngs Cove, NB he was the son of Shirley and Marjorie (Moss) Howes of Cambridge Narrows. Wayne was employed by Morguard Investments as the Building Manager of City Hall, Saint John for 30 years. Wayne enjoyed sports and played a number of years with the men’s slow pitch teams. He was well loved by his family and friends and will be sadly missed. Besides his loving wife and parents he was survived by his son Tim (Kris) Howes of Jasper, Alberta; daughter Jennifer (Marcus) Cormier of Airdrie, Alberta; grandchildren Allison, Megan, Nathan and Josh; sisters Frances Robinson of Cambridge Narrows, Sandra Kraglund of Saint John and Carol (Bill) Howes of Wickham; also several nieces and nephews.

Donald H. McElwaine
McElwaine, Donald Harrison -- On Friday February 4th 2005 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the death of Donald McElwaine occurred. Born in Saint John in 1927, he was the son of the late Percy and Doris (Poley) McElwaine. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Rowe) McElwaine, three daughters; Kathy (Eugene) Anderson, Karen, and Kim (Peter) Marlow, all of Ont., three sisters; Betty (Tom) Fenton of Ont., Audrey McElwaine of Saint John, and Ruth (Larry) Degrace of Ont., six grandchildren; Mark, Sacha, Daniel, Paul, Amber, and Joey and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, a brother, Robert, predeceased Don. Donald worked for CN for over 32 years.

Margaret Dawn Pedersen
The death of Margaret Dawn Pedersen, loving wife of Mark Pedersen of Black’s Harbour, occurred on Sunday December 11, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1946 in Saint John, Dawn was the daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Crockett) Blair. Dawn loved being a wife and mother and always put her family first. She was known for her warm and generous spirit and went out of her way to help others. She loved to smile and to make others smile. She was an avid crafter who loved to knit and cross-stitch and had a wide network of friends from the needlework Internet. She'll be missed by all. Besides her loving husband she is survived by her son Andy (Mary) of Halifax; daughter Jenny (Weylin) of Blacks Harbour; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Frances.

Brennan, Hubert- Passed away peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa on Sunday December 11th, 2005 with the Loch Lomond Villa staff at his bedside.

Constance (Connie) Northrup
Northrup, Constance (Atkinson)- passed away at her residence on Saturday December 10th, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Ella (Godwin) Atkinson. Constance is survived by one brother Thomas W. (Mary) Atkinson of Ottawa Ont. two sisters Norma (Raymond) London of Saint John, and Elizabeth Diggs of Malden Mass. a granddaughter Billie-Jo Daly, two great grandchildren Jacob Daly, and Jade Daly and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Constance was predeceased by her husband Walter. Constance loved to bake, paint and play bingo.

The death of Francis McIsaac of Saint John, occurred peacefully on Wednesday December 7, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1929 in Hope River, PEI he was the son of the late James E. and Ruth (Greenan) McIsaac. He is survived by his special friend Hazel Davis; son Stephen (Angie) of Saint John; grandsons Tony and Jared McIsaac; sisters Sr. Lenora McIsaac SCIC and Mary E. Doiron both of Saint John; aunts Clara Lawless of PEI and Dorothy Greenan of Mass., sisters in law Theresa McIsaac of PEI and Elizabeth McIsaac of Saint John; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Pius, Earl and Lloyd.
