John A. Keohan
Woodland, Me., Sept. 8 (1920) - (Special) - The death of John A. Keohan occurred in Dr. Minor’s hospital, Calais, on Saturday, Sept. 4. Mr. Keohan had been in his usual health until Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital on Friday and passed away early Saturday morning in the fifty-first year of his age. He was a son of the late Daniel Keohan, of Sussex (N.B.) He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ada Keohan, an adopted son, James Jones Keohan; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Loring; a sister, Mrs. Francis Mc Kenney, and a brother, Thomas Keohan, of Oakland (Cal.) The burial was at Campobello.
KENNETH ANDREW MacINTOSH
Son of Mr. And Mrs. Norman MacIntosh of Cumberland Bay, NB. He was 23 years old. He died as a result of a highway accident near Halifax. At the time of his death, he was stationed at HMCS Shearwater and was a Leading Seaman. Survived by his parents; his wife, the former Isabel Thornhill; one daughter, Angela; one step-son Teddy; two step-daughters, Sherry and Kay; three brothers, John (Toronto), Harry and Angus (at home); four sisters, Mrs. Stewart Hill (Hilda ), Mrs. Willard Sheppard Norma) both of Hampton, Eileen (Saint John), Carol (at Home). Funeral with full military honours at R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Halifax, NS on April 12, 1965 with internment at Fairview Cemetery, Halifax. From the Kings County Record April 22, 1965

Mary E. Willigar, 92, died May 21, 2000 in Patton, ME. She was born July 21, 1907, in Hatsfield Point, NB the daughter of Wesley & Rosella (Scribner) VanWart. She is survived by 14 children, Kathleen Brown of Washburn, Clarence Willigar of Miami, Fla., Malcolm Willigar of Crystal,Reba Wiggins of Houlton, Robert Willigar of Scarborough, Cora Savage of Patten, Jane McNally of Sherman, Wesley Willigar of Randolph, Ruth Lane of Sherman & Judy James of Sherman,
Elsie Campbell of Villa Rica, Ga., Donis Willigar of Patten, Clayton Willigar of Littleton, & Gail Campbell of Crystal; 62 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren & 11 great-great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by her husband, John; 1 daughter, Carol & 1 son, Roland. Interment will be in Patten Cemetery. May 23, 2000
Mary Melanie "Mamie" Page
Mary Melanie "Mamie" Page, 80, died July 30, 2000 in Presque Isle, Maine. She was born Aug. 25, 1919, at St. Andre, NB , the daughter of Edward & Helen (St. Pierre) Levesque. She is survived by 3 sons, Edward G. Page Sr. of Presque Isle, Raymond L. Page of Sterling, Mass. & Frederick G. H. Page Jr. of Caribou; a daughter, Mary Ann Clark of So. Windsor, Conn.; a brother, Clarence Levesque of Titusville, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Delcia Albert of Newington, Conn.; 12 grandchildren & 20 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law & her husband, Gladys & Bob Hayden of Presque Isle. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick. Interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Ft. Fairfield, Maine.
Mrs. Mary Anne Beatty
The remains of Mrs. Mary Anne Beatty a very aged and much respected lady of this place were brought here by Monday’s boat and internment took place in the Church of England cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, the service being conducted by Rev. G. E. Tobin. Deceased lady died at home of her brother, Robert Flagg, at Eastport, Me. The large attendance at the funeral showed the esteem in which the deceased was held, she having united in childhood with the church from which she was buried, and proved a very consistent member during her life here. Her devotion to the church and Sabbath school work for a great many years was a marked example of her christian life and piety. She was the last of her family, her husband and a large family of sons and daughters all having predeceased her. She had attained the good old age of eighty-two years, four months. Rev. F. A. Currier held the service in the North Road Baptist church on Sunday afternoon.

Carolyn Perkins, 94, died May 17, 2000 in Portsmouth, NH. She was born at The Narrows, NB, a daughter of Malcolm & Cora Greenstreet Kincade. Her husband, Charles R. Perkins, died in 1969. Portland, ME
Mrs. Sarah Simpson
The death of Mrs. Sarah Simpson occurred on Sunday, July 20, (1919) at her home in Welschpool, Campobello (N. B.), after a long illness, aged sixty-six years and seven months. She is survived by her husband Leonard P. Simpson; one daughter, Mrs. John Keohan, Woodland (Me.); three grandchildren, A. Leonard Dunphy, who lately returned from overseas, James and Aubrey Jones, children of Mrs. Cecil Jones. The deceased also leaves two brothers, Robinson Flagg, of Eastport (Me.), William Flagg, of Perry (Me.), and one sister, Mrs. James Cleaves, of Kennebunk (me.)
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Edgar Tobin officiated.
Leonard P. Simpson
Leonard P. Simpson, 84 died at his home in Welschpool, N. B., Sept. 5th (1935) after a short illness. Mr. Simpson was a highly esteemed and life-long resident of Welschpool.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ada Keohan of Welschpool, and three grandsons, A. Leonard Denphy of Chicago, Ill., Aubrey Jones of Hill, N. H., and James F. Jones of Welschpool.
Funeral services were held on Saturday at St. Anne’s Church with appropriate music by Mrs. Chapin, organist. The bearers were: Harvey Johnston, Lemuel Vennell, Russell Gough and Isha Parker. Rev. Raymond Smith officiated.. Interment in St. Anne’s cemetery.
Relatives who attended were: Robinson Flagg and William Flagg of Eastport, Leonard Denphy of Chicago’ Mrs. Henry Lawson and son Herbert Lawson of Bangor, and Mr. and Mrs. Lesley Simpson.
