HALL, Josephine - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Monday, February 9, 2004, age 59 years. Predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Hall. Leaving to mourn her brother, Raymond, Ontario; sister-in-law: Winnie Hall; niece and nephews Roxie Hall and family, Robert Hall and family and David Hall and daughter; Aunt Mary Bennett; cousins: Francis Bennett and wife and family; Joan Crouse; and Richard Bennett and family, as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Tuesday 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Wednesday 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove. Interment to follow at Holy Rosary cemetery , Portugal Cove.

MURPHY, Jeanette Mary - 55, Halifax, passed away February 8, 2004, surrounded by angels at the VG Site, QEII. Born in Markland, NL, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (King) Murphy. Jeanette touched a lot of lives through her work at the hospital and homecare. She was involved with the Big Sisters organization for many years. She will be sadly missed by son, Paul Martin, Kelowna, B.C.; brothers: Ron (Daphne) Murphy, Odessa, Ont.; Reg (Uli) Murphy, Morewood, Ont.; Wayne (Paulette) Murphy, Fort Francis, Ont.; Lester Murphy, Labrador City; Peter (Judy) Murphy, Thunder Bay, Ont.; sisters: Eleanor (John) Murphy, Prince George, B.C.; Bridie (Felix) Gambin, Grand Falls, NL; Diane (John) McGrath, Churchill Falls, Labrador. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. in the J. Albert Walker Funeral Chapel, 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax, Rev. Richard Walsh officiating. Burial will take place in early summer in Newfoundland. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

Predeceased by her husband Stewart in 1990. Leaving to mourn her children: Calvin (Ina), Kingston, Ontario and Geraldine Green (Everett), St. John`s; four grandchildren: Heather and Craig Green, Jeffrey Taylor and Jackie McEachern (Michael); two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral service to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Mark`s Anglican Church, Logy Bay Rd. or to a charity of one`s choice.

Predeceased by her husband Bertram, sisters Dorothy Warren and Lily McBay. Leaving to mourn her son Douglas (Muriel); two grandchildren: Steven of Lake Louise, Alberta and Susan Reardon (Keith) of Chicago, Illinois; one great-grandson Keegan Reardon; one sister Adelaide Taylor of St. John`s; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, February 9, 2004, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral services 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, from Barrett`s Chapel with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery . In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one`s choice.

GOSSE, Clara Florence - Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre, St. John`s on Saturday, February 7, 2004. Clara Florence Gosse, Spaniard`s Bay, in her 76th year. Predeceased by her husband Cecil W. Gosse (2001). She will be sadly missed and ever remembered by two children, Wayne (Labrador City) and Lois (Wayne Cashin), Mount Pearl. Three precious grandchildren: Jennifer, Allison and Jason; their special friends (Lorne, Dale and Lesley); sister Dorothy (Ernest Cranford), King`s Cove; brothers-in-law Howard Thorne (New Harbour); Norman Gosse (Lydia), Orillia, Ont; sisters-in-law Ruby Gosse Spaniard`s Bay; Evelyn (Rance Ford), Toronto, Ont; Patsy Gosse (Spaniard`s Bay). Also many nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Young`s Funeral Home, Spaniard`s Bay, until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2004. Funeral from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church with service of requiem at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Green Head cemetery , Spaniard`s Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Redeemer Restoration Fund or a charity of one`s choice. Visiting hours Sunday 7- 10 p.m., Monday 10 a.m.- 12 noon, 2-5 p.m., and 7-9:30 p.m., Tuesday 10-11 a.m.

Aged 54 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Karin; daughters: Miriam and Sabrina; and the Khan family. The family will be receiving visitors from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 10, 1999 at the Muslim Mosque, Logy Bay Road. Burial will take place at the Muslim Burial Section, General Protestant cemetery , Waterford Bridge Road at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 10, 1999. HYNES, Mary Dallas - passed away Feb. 8, 2004 at St. Clare`s Hospital. Mary Dallas Hynes (nee Browne) aged 84. Predeceased by her husband John D. (Doug) June 1998 and son-in-law William Kavanagh June 2002. Leaving to mourn eight daughters, Mary Johnson (Henry) R.I., U.S.A., Eleanor Davidson (Don) Nanaimo, B.C., Thelma, Alamenia (Kathy) Thorne (Keith), Germaine Rose (Lloyd), Elizabeth, Madonna (Paul), Bernice Kavanagh with whom she resided. Six sons, Capt. Douglas (Elizabeth), Clarence (Linda), Randall (Donna), Joseph, Billy, Phonse. One brother Clarence Browne, Long Harbour. Thirty-seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday 2 to 10 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday at St. Patrick`s Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery . SHARPE, David Theodore - passed away February 6, 2004 DAVID THEODORE SHARPE at the age of 59. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 30 years Mary; four children: Andrea, Fredericton, Michael, Natuashish, Labrador, Stephen, Edmonton, Maria, Gander; brother Andrew Sharpe (Marilyn), sister Mary Dawe (Bram); brothers-in-law: Gerry St. George (Sheila), Eric St. George (Joan), sisters-in-law: Judy Hanlon, Lynn St. George and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Grace Sharpe, mother- and father-in-law Eric and Ellen St. George, brother-in-law John St. George. The family will be receiving friends at St. David`s Anglican Church, Pasadena, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m.-12 noon followed by the funeral services Tuesday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Carol Daley officiating, with the interment at the church cemetery . As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one`s choice. Predeceased by his wife Wynne, September 1999 and son Clarke, September 1989. Survived by his brother Don of Halifax, Nova Scotia; children: Bobbie (Jim Scott), Max (Cheryl), Susan (Brian Duffett). 'Skipper' to his grandchildren: Mark, Leslie, Nancy, John, Andrew and Robbie. At Kell`s request cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, Tuesday and Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Flowers will be accepted and for those who wish, donations in Kell`s memory can be made to the CNIB or a charity of one`s choice.

Leaving to mourn loving husband and best friend of 51 years, Will, four daughers: Linda (Gary) Way, Diane (Rick) White, Margie (Doug) Ryan and Paulette (Danny) Garland, two sons: Chris (Ruth) and Bill (Jen), five brothers: Jim (Maureen), Mike (Betty), John (Yvonne), Bill (Barb) and special buddy Patty (Norma), two sisters-in-law: Jen Snow and Emily (Terry) Smith, brother-in-law Ron, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a large circle of family and friends. DYKE, Marina (Clarke) - It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our very special wife, mother, and grandmother. Marina, in her 69th year, Passed peacefully away at home on Feb. 5, 2004, embraced in the love of her family. Marina was predeceased by her father, William N. Clarke, and her brother, William J. Clarke. Cherishing her memory, mourning her loss, and inspired by her spirit are her husband of 47 years, Wilfred; her children Jeffrey (Carol); Jennifer (Craig Matthews); and Joanne (Blair Loveless); her precious grandchildren whom she treasured so dearly: Bradley, Nicholas, Andrew, Heidi, Christopher, Sarah and Allyson. With a lifetime of wonderful memories are her mother, Irene Gray; sister, Mary Coffen (Bill); brothers George Clarke (Emily) and Lloyd Clarke (Janet); sister-in-law Maxine Clarke; brother-in-law Frank Dyke (Mary) and sister -in-law Joan Dyke. Also a large circle of relatives and friends, near and far, whose lives she touched in so many ways. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., St. John`s.
