MURPHY, Jeanette Mary - 55, Halifax, passed away February 8, 2004, surrounded by angels at the VG Site, QEII. Born in Markland, NL, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (King) Murphy. Jeanette touched a lot of lives through her work at the hospital and homecare. She was involved with the Big Sisters organization for many years. She will be sadly missed by son, Paul Martin, Kelowna, B.C.; brothers: Ron (Daphne) Murphy, Odessa, Ont.; Reg (Uli) Murphy, Morewood, Ont.; Wayne (Paulette) Murphy, Fort Francis, Ont.; Lester Murphy, Labrador City; Peter (Judy) Murphy, Thunder Bay, Ont.; sisters: Eleanor (John) Murphy, Prince George, B.C.; Bridie (Felix) Gambin, Grand Falls, NL; Diane (John) McGrath, Churchill Falls, Labrador. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday followed by funeral service at 2 p.m. in the J. Albert Walker Funeral Chapel, 149 Herring Cove Rd., Halifax, Rev. Richard Walsh officiating. Burial will take place in early summer in Newfoundland. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

HYNES, Mary Dallas - passed away Feb. 8, 2004 at St. Clare`s Hospital. Mary Dallas Hynes (nee Browne) aged 84. Predeceased by her husband John D. (Doug) June 1998 and son-in-law William Kavanagh June 2002. Leaving to mourn eight daughters, Mary Johnson (Henry) R.I., U.S.A., Eleanor Davidson (Don) Nanaimo, B.C., Thelma, Alamenia (Kathy) Thorne (Keith), Germaine Rose (Lloyd), Elizabeth, Madonna (Paul), Bernice Kavanagh with whom she resided. SHARPE, David Theodore - passed away February 6, 2004 DAVID THEODORE SHARPE at the age of 59. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 30 years Mary; four children: Andrea, Fredericton, Michael, Natuashish, Labrador, Stephen, Edmonton, Maria, Gander; brother Andrew Sharpe (Marilyn), sister Mary Dawe (Bram); brothers-in-law: Gerry St. George (Sheila), Eric St. George (Joan), sisters-in-law: Judy Hanlon, Lynn St. George and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Grace Sharpe, mother- and father-in-law Eric and Ellen St. George, brother-in-law John St. George.
