Leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral Mass on Friday, May 7th at 10 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Interment at the old R.C. cemetery.

Left to mourn: his loving wife Mary (nee Oliver); daughter Mary and husband Joe Ennis; sons, Patrick and wife Madonna, Stephen and wife Bernice; nine grandchildren; Jody and Jillian Ennis, David, Wanda, Denise, Evelyn, Charlene, Beverley and Bradley Doyle; three sisters: Mrs. Mary Briff, Cape Broyle, Mrs. Joan North, St. John's adn Clara and husband Will Walsh of Burnt Cove. Leaving to mourn six sons [NB-only five listed - Tom] Brendan and wife Betty, Kevin and wife Jean, Ronald and wife Hazel, Gus and wife Stella, Rev. Br. David Burton; five daughters: Mary (Mrs. Jerry Penny), Patricia (Mrs. Wilson Butler) with whom she reisided, Gwynette (Mrs. Stanley Butler), Anita and Frank Oliver and Sharon (Mrs. William Hickey); one brother Joseph O'Brien of Torbay; one sister Agnes Cantwell of Torbay; 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Funeral service at the Basilica fo St. John the Baptist at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7. Interment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Health Sciences Centre, after a long illness, Hazel Burton, age 66 years. Predeceased by her husband Ron; parents Elfreda and Charlie Baggs; brothers: Ray, Cyril and George; sisters: Laura and Alma. Leaving to mourn sons: Ron (Carol), Don and Randy (Lol); daughters: Wanda (Mike), and Kim (Glenn); grandchildren: Nancy, Nicole, Megan, Michael, Amanda, Joshua, Sarah, Andrew, Jeremy and Stephanie; great-grandchildren: Elisa and Holly; sister Lorraine Farrell; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation is being held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, March 17, 2005 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 18, 2005 from Barrett's Chapel at 2 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are being gratefully declined, donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Newfoundland and Labrador Lung Association. The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Harry Clarke, Dr. Michael Kennedy, doctors, nurses, and staff at the ICU at the Health Sciences Centre for their support and dedication, not only to our mother but to all of us as well. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of 4 South, who helped us with our difficult time. Also, special thanks to our Aunt Anita Burton and the George Families.
