CLOUSTON, Alwyn V. (Uncle Al) — Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on October 27, 2004, Al Clouston, age 94 years. Predeceased by his wife Ida. Left with fond and loving memories daughter Carol Ann, Egypt and son Ian; grandchildren: Douglas, John (Andrea), Elizabeth Clouston, Nancy Corcoran (Paul); great-grandchildren: Sara, Sydney, Abby, Benjamin and Kendall Corcoran; daughter-in-law Orinda McCarthy and son Paul; special friends: Dr. Gerald Benson, Rev. Sheldon MacKenzie, Ann Devine and Eva Hawkins and also many other friends and relatives. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 01, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from St. David's Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth Avenue. Interment at Mount Pleasant cemetery. No flowers by request. Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Pavilion on Saturday October 30, 2004, Michael John Conway, age 87 years. A veteran of WWII with the Royal Navy, and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Heavy Regiment Royal Artillery; British 6th Airborne Regiment; Legion Branch 56. Predeceased by infant son Peter, 1957; son John, 1993; sisters: Mary Enright and Frances Buck; brothers: Jim and Bren. MILLER, Edward — passed away at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, Edward Miller age 85 years. Leaving to mourn his loss, loving wife of 60 years Maisie, daughters Laverne (Hayward), Clara (Gerald), Deborah (Grenvil) and sons Charlie (Lynn), Cluney (Gail), Doug (Pam). Survived by one brother and four sisters, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law. Also mourning his loss, 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. POWER, Catherine Jane (nee Winsor): passed away unexpectedly at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, October 11, 2007. Predeceased by her sister Donna Arlene. Leaving to mourn her beloved husband David; son Robert; parents John and Sarah Winsor; sister Beverley (Ray Laite); step-children: Melanie, Gregory, Zachary, and grandson Zack. Also leaving to remember her in loving memory are many close relatives, colleagues and friends, special aunts: Eva, Olga, Violet and Mime; uncles: Heber, Arthur and Carson (Duck) as well as many very special cousins, valued colleagues at O’Donel High School past and present, together with special friends Linda Laite (Stan), Joyce Hinson and her two darling puppies Halley and Zorro, all of whom she loved dearly. Predeceased in 1937 by her infant son, Graham Edward and in 1992 by her husband, Captain Graham Mills. Leaving to mourn her dughter Angela (Owen Sullivan) and her son Walter (Elizabeth); grandchildren Lynn (Jo Mark Zurel), Lori (Jim Greene), Cheryl (Jeff Critch), Wendy (Doug Regular); great-grandchildren Heather, Michael and David Zurel, Katherine and Graham Greene, Erin and Jacob Critch. She also leaves a large circle of other relatives and friends with fond memories.
