TULK, Allister Edward Gordon - At London Health Sciences Centre, in the presence of his family friends, in London, on Thursday, August 1, 2002, in his 79th year. Cherished husband of the late Blanche, father of Cheryl Garvey of Washington, Marie Adams of Montreal and Hubert of Toronto. Son of the late Samuel and Ethel Gordon of Millertown, NF and will be reunited with his infant child Patricia, and will be sincerely missed by his sister Doris, brothers: Calvin, Leonard and Malcolm. Remembered by future generations through grandchildren: Sharron, Steven, Travis, Ryan, Natalia and Tanya; and great-grandson Aaron. He is mourned by his nieces, nephews and special friends. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all his fellow workers and friends from his many years of working in Canada and abroad. FRENCH, Robert (Bob) - passed away in the presence of his family at the H.S.C. on Friday, August 2, 2002, aged 58 yrs. Bob was the elected MHA, Conception Bay South District since 1996. He was Chairman of 1996 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, councillor, Town of Conception Bay South, 1985-1990, as well as former president of C.B.S. Lions Club, Conception Bay South Senior Hockey League, and Conception Bay South Softball League. Bob was the past President and Honourary Life Member, Softball Newfoundland and Labrador; inductee, Softball Newfoundland and Labrador Hall of Fame; Member, Board of Directors, Softball Canada. He was also inductee in the Conception Bay South Sports Hall of Fame. Bob`s significant contribution to sport was rewarded in 1992 with the Governor General`s Award. He was also named Conception Bay South Citizen Of The Year; and Conception Bay South, and Newfoundland Sports Executive of the Year. Left with special memories are his wife Betty; son Terry (Denise); daughter Leanne Burrows (Greg); four grandchildren, Robert, Abby, Campbell and Nora; two brothers, Woodrow (Shirley), and John; sister Ruby Reedman (Phil); sister-in-law Muriel.
