TULK, Allister Edward Gordon - At London Health Sciences Centre, in the presence of his family friends, in London, on Thursday, August 1, 2002, in his 79th year. Cherished husband of the late Blanche, father of Cheryl Garvey of Washington, Marie Adams of Montreal and Hubert of Toronto. Son of the late Samuel and Ethel Gordon of Millertown, NF and will be reunited with his infant child Patricia, and will be sincerely missed by his sister Doris, brothers: Calvin, Leonard and Malcolm. Remembered by future generations through grandchildren: Sharron, Steven, Travis, Ryan, Natalia and Tanya; and great-grandson Aaron. He is mourned by his nieces, nephews and special friends. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to all his fellow workers and friends from his many years of working in Canada and abroad. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7- 9 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road N. (2 blocks north of Oxford St.), where the funeral and committal services will be conducted on Saturday, August 10, 2002 at 1 p.m. Cremation and private family interment of ashes, Mount Pleasant cemetery. NOSEWORTHY, Doris Mae - Passed peacefully away, in the presence of her family, on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, Doris Mae Noseworthy (nee Chapman), age 61 years, formerly of Harbour Breton. Predeceased by husband Ted Noseworthy. Leaving to mourn one daughter Joy Hickey (Mervyn); two sons: Rick Tibbo (Tracy), Billy (Karen), both of Ontario; eight grandchildren; three sisters: Marina (Bob), Shelah (Steve), Shirley (Bill); two brothers: Carl (Cora) and Mervyn (Shi-bei); special friends Molly King, Frances Chapman and Audrey Noseworthy; also many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul`s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation Thursday from 7-10 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Predeceased by infant daughter Sheila; husband Joe; brothers and sisters Angela Morrison, Margaret Breen, William, Henry, Edward and Bernard Pridham. Leaving to mourn her passing is her loving and devoted family: Joe (Carol), Maria (Jim Graham), Paul (Nancy); grandchildren Nadine, Joey and Anna Wadden; Chad, Jana and Mark Graham, Emily Wadden; sisters-in-law Mary Adams and Mel Wadden, brother-in-law Gus Wadden; special neighbor Sharon Manuel; also many other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. from 7-9 pm Wednesday, 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm Thursday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Patrick`s Church at a time to be announced. Also a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Remains resting at Fahey`s Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Visitation on Monday, Aug. 5 and Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 2-10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 from Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland at 11 a.m. Interment at Holy Trinity cemetery, Ferryland. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife of 60 years, Edna (Norman); nine children, Margaret Tucker (Robert), St. Philip`s, Ruth Hawley (William), Tillsonburg, Ont., Catherine Sparkes (Gerald), Foxtrap, Jean Stacey (Robert), Flatrock, Phyllis Carrigan (Michael), Logy Bay, Bert (Mary), St. Thomas, Harold (Dorothy), Winsor Heights, Donald (Judy), St. John`s, Barry (Sherry), Paradise; brother Max, Palm Beach, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Ena Eddy, St. John`s and Margaret Connors, Calgary; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; special niece Helen Lamb; and a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 5, 2002 at 11 a.m. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church. FRENCH, Robert (Bob) - passed away in the presence of his family at the H.S.C. on Friday, August 2, 2002, aged 58 yrs. Bob was the elected MHA, Conception Bay South District since 1996. He was Chairman of 1996 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, councillor, Town of Conception Bay South, 1985-1990, as well as former president of C.B.S. Lions Club, Conception Bay South Senior Hockey League, and Conception Bay South Softball League. Bob was the past President and Honourary Life Member, Softball Newfoundland and Labrador; inductee, Softball Newfoundland and Labrador Hall of Fame; Member, Board of Directors, Softball Canada. He was also inductee in the Conception Bay South Sports Hall of Fame. Bob`s significant contribution to sport was rewarded in 1992 with the Governor General`s Award. He was also named Conception Bay South Citizen Of The Year; and Conception Bay South, and Newfoundland Sports Executive of the Year. Left with special memories are his wife Betty; son Terry (Denise); daughter Leanne Burrows (Greg); four grandchildren, Robert, Abby, Campbell and Nora; two brothers, Woodrow (Shirley), and John; sister Ruby Reedman (Phil); sister-in-law Muriel. Also other relatives and friends. Resting in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Saturday 7-9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial service on Tuesday, August 6, 2002, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Church, Foxtrap. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Walk a Mile Foundation.

Predeceased by husband John (1994). Leaving to mourn with many treasured memories her son Maurice (Lynne); daughters Cathy Breen (Bud), Margie Osmond (Sam), Joni Snow (Dave), 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are her sister Nora (Ches) and sister-in-law Perpetua Stokes (Elmer) of Delaware; special niece Kathleen of Halifax. Other nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Irene (72 years of age) was predeceased by her husband Vincent. Leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends. Loving mother of Dennis, Phyllis and husband Glenn, Vincent and wife Pamela, Gerard and wife Geraldine, David and wife Diane, Lawrence, and Robert and partner Leona. Cherished grandmother of Patricia, Darryl, Candace, Pamela, Emily, Allison, Stephen, Rebecca, Jamie, Gerard, Nicole and Alex; and a caring great-grandmother of Jasmine, and special caregiver to Kenneth and Patrick. A special sister to Don, Annie, Alice and Christine and the departed Mary, Ron, Veronica, John and Helen. A dear aunt to many loving nieces and nephews with memories of Jackie and Deanie, Madonna and Sandra, Brenda, Sharon, Debbie, and Linda. A supportive neighbour and a devoted member of the Legion of Mary, the St. Teresa`s Eucharistic Ministers and many other Christian groups and associations.
