Lautermilch, Hon. Eldon
New Democrat MLA, Prince Albert Northcote

Eldon Lautermilch was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan. He and his family have operated a business in Prince Albert since 1970.

Mr. Lautermilch was first elected to the Legislature in 1986, representing the Prince Albert-Duck Lake Constituency, and was re-elected in 1991 and 1995 representing the Prince Albert Northcote Constituency.

In September, 1992, Eldon Lautermilch was appointed to Cabinet as Minister of Natural Resources and Minister of Rural Development. He was appointed Minister Responsible for the Saskatchewan Property Management Corporation and the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority in March 1993. In February 1995, Mr. Lautermilch became Minister of Energy and Mines. In addition to the Department of Energy and Mines, his current duties include responsibility for SaskEnergy, Saskatchewan Power Corporation, Saskatchewan Water Corporation, Saskatchewan Research Council and Saskatchewan Forest Products.

Eldon and his wife, Loretta, have three children.
