Sonntag, Hon. Maynard
New Democrat MLA, Meadow Lake

Maynard Sonntag served as the General Manager for the Goodsoil Credit Union for six years and in 1988 became the Administration Manager of the Meadow Lake Credit Union. In 1990, he was appointed Acting General Manager. Maynard is a past member of the Credit Union Managers' Association and has served on a number of credit union provincial advisory boards and committees.

Maynard was first elected to the Legislature in 1991 and re-elected in 1995. He has served as a member of the Legislative Committee of Public Accounts, Standing Committee of Estimates, and the Legislative Standing Committee on Safe Driving. Since 1993, Maynard has chaired the Saskatchewan Construction Panel and has been the Vice-Chair of the Government Caucus Fiscal Policy Committee. He has also served on the Local Government, Fiscal Policy and Education Committee.

On June 27, 1997, Mr. Sonntag was appointed Minister Responsible for the Saskatchewan Property Management Corporation and the Liquor and Gaming Authority.
