Surviving are daughter, Cathy; brothers, Charles, Daniel; Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Robert; sister, Marguerite Blackie; brothers, Ken, Ross, Cecil. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

DUNN, Goldie Norval - 71, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully August 30, 1998, at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jeanette (MacNeil) Gallivan. She was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Dartmouth. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love was always unconditional. She is now our angel. She is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Linda (Mrs. Wayne Low), Princeport; Janet (Mrs. Donald MacInnis), Charlottetown, P.E.I.; Cathy (Mrs. Laurie Brown), South Rawdon; sons, Thomas and wife Patricia, William Jr. and wife Marilyn, David and wife Charmaine, and Kenneth, all of Dartmouth; sisters, Annie Emberly, Dartmouth; Margaret Brown, Halifax; Charlotte Gillatly, Sardis, B.C.; 14 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Ina Emberly, and grandson, Bruce Low. Visitation 7-9 today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth. Born in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Eva (Rafuse) Broome. In her earlier years she lived in the New Ross area and later moved to Blue Mountain. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. She was a member of the Community Centre of Lake Paul and of the sewing circle of Lake Paul and Lake George. She was a member of the Blue Mountain Community Club. Surviving are sons, Lloyd, Lake Paul; Allison, Calgary; daughters, Gloria (Mrs. Bill Woodman), New Minas; Marilyn (Mrs. Allan Griffin), Amherst; brothers, Ira, Arnold and Gerald, all of New Ross; sisters, Elta (Mrs. Rettie Crossman), Oromocto, N.B.; Lois Fletcher, Windsor; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. YOUNG, Catherine - 85, 2604 Lingan, died September 2, 1999, in New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. Born in Inverness, West Lake Ainsley, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen MacDonald. She was an active member of Lingan Church and a member of the Altar Society for the last 38 years. She was very much involved in the community and was a long-time member of the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. For 39 years she worked as an Avon representative, she was a determined dart player and supported adopted children through overseas charities. Surviving are sons, Joseph, Lingan; Francis, New Waterford; Gregory, Manitoba; daughters, Marie Burda, Boston; Doreen Przepiora, New York; Margaret Hogan, New Waterford; a daughter-in-law; sister, Annie MacDonald, New Glasgow; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew; sons, Stephen, Raymond; brothers, Angus, George; sisters, Mary, Rachael. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in V.J. KAISER, Kitty Irene "Kit" - 91, Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, formerly of 16 Leverett Ave., Kentville, died February 12, 1999, in the home. Born in England, she was a daughter of the late Charles William and Kate Louise (Ashby) Hockley. She was a member of Kentville United Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir for many years. Upon retirement from the choir she was made an honorary member. She was a past president of the Senior Citizens Kentville New Horizons Club where she was active for many years. She was also a volunteer with the Victorian Order of Nurses, Kings Branch foot clinic. Having been active in both curling and golf, she was a past president of Glooscap Curling Club and Ken Wo Golf Club Ladies Divisions. She was past noble grand of St. Eulalie Rebekah Lodge 27, Kentville; past president of the Past Noble Grand's Club and had received the Decoration of Chivalry, the Rebekah's highest award. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are son, Kenneth, Kentville, formerly of Blind River, Ont.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. Harry; sisters, Dorothy, Laura; brothers, Ronald, Douglas, Herbert. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Rebekah Lodge service 7 p.m. Thursday, both in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Parlour, Kentville.
