BRENTON, Mary Millicent "Millie" - 72, Eastern Passage, passed away August 6, 2004, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Summerside, P.E.I., she was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Mary Mildred (Arsenault) Gallant. Millie was a loving wife and mother. Her hobbies were latch-hooking and bingo. Surviving are her husband, Henry, Eastern Passage; daughter, Lisa (Ian) Fancy, Cole Harbour; son, Douglas (Eunice), Charlottetown; brother, Earl (Inez), Summerside; sisters, Gladys Gallant, Summerside; Marjorie Knycha, Aylesford; grandchildren, Nicholas, Colin, Joshua, all of Cole Harbour; Paul Beaton, Summerside; one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, in St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Passage, Father Thomas Thekkekara officiating. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Centre. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to The Lung Association.

FRASER, Allan Sr. - 75, North Preston, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 1, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born April, 25, 1928, in North Preston, he was a son of the late Isaac Sr. and Eunice (Downey) Fraser. Allan was employed with Dartmouth Ready Mix and also did landscaping for many years. Allan is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, the former Ethel Simmonds; daughters, Coreen (Lloyd Sr.), Beaulah (Leonard), Donna (Allister), North Preston; Muriel (Jerry), Sherry, Dartmouth; Lavern (Roy), Jenny, Toronto; Paula (Ed), Hamilton, Ont.; sons, Danny (Trena), Allan Jr., Lloyd (Jennifer), Delbert (Poppy), Dartmouth; Wayne (Maureen), Ontario; 93 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther, Eunice; brothers, Ross, Clary, Lewis; Godmother, Mary Simmonds; Godchild, Cathy Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons, Lawrence, Floyd; sisters, June, Lillian; brothers, Isaac I, Isaac II, Ernest, Martin, David, Cyril. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Saint Thomas United Baptist Church, North Preston, Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Interment in Downey Road Cemetery. WEEKS, Mary Elizabeth "Mickie" - 75, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully and courageously on Saturday, July 31, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 14, 1928, in Head of Jeddore, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Katie (Bonn) Dooks. Mickie lived in Port Wallace all of her married life and was a member of Port Wallace United Church. She was an avid gardener and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Jevens) Matheson, Christine (Clyde) Smith, Margot (Gary) Keough, all of Port Wallace; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Nicholas, Jeffery, Thomas, Michael; great-granddaughter, Rylin; sisters, Lola Shears, Velma Holmans, Ada Burgess; brothers, Gerald, Maynard, Emerson. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Iverson Weeks; brothers, Robert, Ralph, Hugh. JULIAN, Bernice Cecila - 62, Cole Harbour, passed away peacefully Friday, July 30, 2004, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII. Born March 14, 1942, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late James and Edna (Kenefick) Pye. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed and will forever be in our hearts. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, going fishing and spending time at her camp in Sheet Harbour. GILES, Sarah Mary "Sadie" - 85, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 31, 2004, at her home. Born July 28, 1919, in Merasheen, Placentia Bay, NL, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Ruth (Best) Ennis. Sadie will be sadly missed by her family who will always remember her for her generosity, kindness and deep faith in God. Sadie celebrated her 85th birthday last Wednesday surrounded by her loving family. Her long suffering with kidney failure has ended and she will now peacefully enter the Kingdom of God. She was a member of Saint Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Dartmouth for many years and was a member of the CWL there since 1949. Sadie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James H. "Jim" Giles; daughters, Ruth (John) Myers, Geraldine (Ernie) Ayres; grandson, Sean (Heather) Hiscock; granddaughter, Tamara (Marco) Plante; great-granddaughter, Caley Sarah Hiscock; great-grandson, Christian Morgan Plante, all of Dartmouth; sisters, Elizabeth Phillips, Marcella Ennis, Newfoundland; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Agnes Marie in infancy; son, Gerard in infancy; sisters, Martha, Agatha, Irene; brothers, Stan, Albert. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 29 Farrell St., Dartmouth. Reception to follow.
