May 9, 1943 - February 27, 2009. Our angel here on earth has been taken back to heaven. Loved by all, Margie always fully devoted herself in all the roles she played in her life. Margie was a loving daughter, caring sister, devoted wife, wonderful mother, most loving grandmother, a dedicated member of the 3rd Order Franciscan Order and a beautiful human being. She will be sadly missed by all, mostly by her most loving, respectful, devoted husband of 48 years, Stanley; her sons, Brian, Berwick, Ont.; Kenneth (Patricia), Berwick, Ont.; daughters, Denise (Garth) Spears, Port Hood; Christina (Ardell) Hawley, Port Hood; grandsons, Kyle, Nicholas, Ryan, Griffin, and Gavin; granddaughters, Courtney and Chloe; brother, Duncan (Linda), Mississauga, Ont.; sisters, Mary (Jerry) MacDonnell, Port Hood and Elizabeth, Barrie, Ont. She is predeceased by her daughter Melinda, her parents Michael and Catherine, brothers Neil, John, Michael, Patrick, sisters Rosanne and Theresa. Resting in St. Peter's Parish Hall, Port Hood on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be offered on Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Peter's Church, Port Hood. John Vincent Bouchie
John Vincent Bouchie 63 Mulgrave, died Monday at home, born in Antigonish, he was the son of the late John William & Myrtle (MacDonald) Bouchie.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave.
He is survived by wife Evelyn, daughters Colette, Lawrencetown ; Barbra, Truro ; Trisha, Havre Boucher ; Sons: John, Ardness, Pictou Co. ; Russell, Lawrence, Donald, all of Mulgrave ; Kenny, Dartmouth . Brothers: Walter, Pictou ; Lawrence, Kamloops, B.C. ; Doug, Dartmouth ; Joseph, Antigonish ; Tony Mulgrave; and Sister Mary Jean Crowell, Havre Boucher; 13 Grandchildren . He was predeceased by brothers Robert James, and Donald Gordon.
The family will receive visitors today from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Thursday from 12:00 -1:45pm at the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place . Funeral Mass will be offered Thursday at 2 :00 pm from St. Lawrence Church, Mulgrave with Rev. Konstanty officiating, interment in the Parish Cemetery.

Floa Ann MacDonald
MacDonald Flora Ann 70, Boston, Massachusetts and formerly of Little Judique passed away September 17th 2003, at home in Boston .
Born in Little Judique, she was the daughter of the late Dan A. & and Flora (MacDougall) MacDonald. Flora Ann was a dedicated parishioner of St. Cecilia Parish in Boston .
She is survived by her sister Mary (Mrs. Donnie Beaton) Harborview, several nieces and nephews . She was predeceased by by a brother John Philip Mac Donald.
Cremation has taken place, the family will receive visitors today from 7-9 pm at the Port Hood Community Funeral Home . Funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday at 11 am from St. Peter's Church, Port Hood, with Rev. Charles Cameron officiating, burial to follow in the parish cemetery . Mary Ann MacDonald 81, Troy, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Wednesday December 10th, 2003 at Saint Martha’s Regional Hospital .
Born in Trenton, she was the daughter of the late Archibald & Florence (Mac Isaac) Mac Donald . Mary Ann was a member of Stella Maris Church, Creignish and is survived by her husband Harold, daughters: Clare, Edmonton ; Florence and Mary both of Troy . Sons : Terry, Bernie, both of Troy ; Kevin, Edmonton . Grandson Brandon. Sister : Theresa Works, Stellarton. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine, brother in law Malcolm Mac Phee and Niece Evangeline ; brother Alec MacDonald and brother in law Wilfred Works.

Mary Louella 'Marie' MacLellan 51, Port Hawkesbury died Thursday at home.
Born in Canso she was the daughter of the late Bernie and Mildred Munroe. She is survived by her husband Donald MacLellan, sons Donald, Arichat ; Darryl, Fort St. John BC. Grandchildren Krystal and Spencer and their Mother Linda. Step mother Christine Mary ( Mamie) MacDougall, step brothers : Kelvin Mac Donald, Eureka ; David Simmons, Toronto ; Clyde Mac Dougall, Port Hawkesbury ; 9 nieces and nephews. brothers : Austin Munroe, Doug Anderson, Rodney Doyle, Leonard Doyle, Clifford Doyle, David Doyle, Wayne Doyle, Sisters : Anna (Honey) O’Leary, Judy Welburn, Connie Doyle, Faye Richard, Lisa Doyle, and Colleen Bond 24 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step father Daniel Angus MacDougall.

Florence Rita Beaton
Florence Rita Beaton 82, Port Hawkesbury passed away Monday July 12, 2004 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, born in Port Hawkesbury she was the daughter of the late Hugh A. & Mary Catherine (MacDougall) MacDougall. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury. Florence was a schoolteacher having taught in; West Bay Road, Eastern Passage and Kemp Road, she also substituted in Port Hawkesbury. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by her children: Mary (Steve) Tuttle, Fort MacMurary, Alberta; Alanna Beaton, Halifax; Hughie Beaton, Port Hawkesbury; Joseph (Mary Lou) Beaton, Dartmouth. Grandchildren: James Tuttle, Curtis MacIntyre and Kara MacIntyre. She was predeceased by her husband James, brothers Alexander, Angus, Donald Barnard and sister Margaret O’ Neill.

Bernard Malcolm Ryan
Bernard Malcolm Ryan 83, Port Hawkesbury, died peacefully at home on Sunday July 18th, 2004. Born in Port Hawkesbury, he was the son of the late Augustus and Theresea (MacDonald) Ryan.
Bernie worked for the CNR and later with the town of Port Hawkesbury until his retirement. His greatest past times were playing Bingo and Harness Horses.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary Isabelle Ryan (MacDonald); daughter Sharon, Port Hawkesbury; and son Wayne (Sandra), Dartmouth; Grandchildren: Aven, Lacey, Kelly and Dale. Brothers: Francis and Gregory, both of Port Hawkesbury and sister Theresa Peeples, Mulgrave. He was predeceased by brothers Alan, Leonard, Angus, Gussie; sister Cassie Goodwin and twin sisters in infancy and stepmother Tena (Hendsbee) Ryan.

RYAN, Sarah Isabel Catherine 66, Port Hawkesbury, died Saturday, July 24, 2004 in Strait Richmond Hospital.
Born in Inverness, she was a daughter of the late Mary Anne (Bienvenue) and John Hugh Mac Isaac. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, CWL, past member of the Port Hawkesbury Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Dianne (Elden) Brow, Millville, N.B.; Thaddeus, Port Hawkesbury; Joey (Bonnie), Calgary; Jerry (Bonnie), Beaver Bank; Harold (Dallas), Eastern Passage; John (Joanie), Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren, Cory, April, Ryan, Josh, Justin, Shawn, Dylan, and Eric; great-grandchild, Micky; brothers, Harold, Roddie, Sander, and John Hugh; sisters, Tena, Jessie, Sylvia, Marie, and sister-in-law, Jean. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Sylvester L. Ryan; her first husband, Thaddeus Ryan; second husband, Stephen E. Ryan; grandson, James; brothers, Archie, John R. Alec, and one in infancy; and sister Elizabeth.

91, Halifax, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Monday, March 2, in Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2032 Robie St., Halifax. Interment will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
CHRISTMAS, Russell A.
90, Conway, Digby Co., went home to be with his Lord on February 26, 2009. Born in Digby March 27, 1919, he was the youngest and last surviving of 18 children of William and Ruby (Francis) Christmas. He was a member of the Acaciaville Baptist Church. Russell was an independent businessman with real estate holdings, and a thriving cab and tourist service. His life was distinguished by many achievements and honors. He was recognized as an ambassador of Nova Scotia. He is survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by stepson, Wayne Warrington. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in Jayne's Funeral Home, 7 Birch St., Digby. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday in Acaciaville Baptist Church, Pastor Theresa Character will officiate. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Jordantown. Donations may be made to Acaciaville Baptist Church in memory of Russell.
