ALLDAY - Even with time graciously marching on excepting the loss of our loved ones is never easy. It has been 3 years for our mother, Vivian Marie, May 21, 1997 and 24 years for our father, Beverley Joseph, April 13,1976.
Sadly missed by their children Beverley, Buck, Betty, Joan, Jo-Anne and Raymond.

LONGMIRE, Earl Ellsworth - 84, Hillsburn, Annapolis Co., died May 29, 2000, in the Annapolis Community Health Center, Annapolis Royal. Born in Hillsburn, he was a son of the late Frederick and May Eunice (Raynor) Longmire. He was a farmer for many years. He was a member of the Hillsburn Baptist Church and a member of the Club 60. Surviving are sister, Marjorie Everett, Hillsburn. He was predeceased by his sisters, Gertrude, Bessie, Lalia, Ruth; brothers, Hartley, Irving, William. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Robert L. DYER, Regis Frances
DYER, Regis Frances - Halifax and Chester, and Vero Beach, Florida, died peacefully on June 2, 2000, in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Born in Hamilton, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Agnes Palmer. Regis was a long-time member of the Canadian Red Cross having served in Canada and England during the Second World War assisting with transatlantic convoys. Following her service, she married Wilfred J. Dyer, M.D. and raised a family of five children in Halifax, Montreal and New York City. Regis was a member of the Junior League in all of the aforementioned cities and held the office of Treasurer for several years in Montreal. She was Business Manager of Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights, New York for many years and was an avid gardener, sportswoman, community volunteer, traveler and needle work artist. Regis was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Dyer. She is survived by her five children and eight grandchildren: son, Paul and wife DeeDee, Halifax; children, Patrick, Zoe, Jonathan and Amy; daughter, Regis Donovan and husband Robert, Basking Ridge, New Jersey; children, Marissa and Stephen Rusek, and Cailin; daughter, Lois Dyer Mann and husband David, Halifax; son, Denis, Halifax; daughter, Danielle Dyer and husband Alec Kloman MD, Shaftsbury, Vermont; children, Storey and Wilfred; sister, Lois Osbaldeston, Hamilton, Ont.; brothers, Jack Palmer, Surrey, B.C.; Frank Palmer, White Rock, B.C. Regis was predeceased by brothers, Herbert and Cleary Palmer. Visitation will take place at Snow's Funeral Home, Halifax on Monday, June 5 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Brian Murphy, in St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Chester on Tuesday, June 6 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine's Church, Chester.

COSNICK, Georgeina Anne - 37, 54 Reserve St., Glace Bay, died June 1, 2000, at home. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of Anne (Peckham) Cosnick and the late Rolland Cosnick. She was a former member of Warden United Church, New Aberdeen. She was a graduate of Morrison Glace Bay High School and attended Mount Allison University, New Brunswick. She was a member of "Festival on the Bay". Surviving are sister, Carrie Buckler, Florida. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, in V.J. MacGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. McDOUGALL, James Edward Roy - 56, Halifax, died June 2, 2000, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Peter and Marguerite McDougall. He was a well known and loved Casino Cab Driver and taxi driver in Halifax for 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Noseworthy; daughter, Carolyn and husband Mark Oldfield, Hammonds Plains; sons, Peter and wife Donna McDougall, Williamswood; stepson, Eddie Duggan, Halifax; sisters, Emily and Frank Foote, Sackville; Jean and husband Barton, Ontario; Marguerite and Kenny Strugnell, Sackville; Christine and Blair Hendren, Timberlea; brothers, John and Shirley McDougalll, Sackville; Allan McDougall, Halifax; sister-in-law, Nancy McDougall, New Minas; grandchildren, Christina and James McDougall and Ryan and Dylan Oldfield. He was predeceased by brothers, Peter, Francis at birth. WAUGH, Walter William - 74, Hills of Annand, Tatamagouche, died February 7, 1999, at home. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of the late Fred and Helen (Marr) Waugh. He worked most of his life in the woods, and at Bonnyman and Byers Mill. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed knitting, doing jigsaw puzzles and kept a record of the weather for many years. Surviving are sisters, Emma (Mrs. Ernest MacIntosh), Malagash; Vivian (Mrs. Ergil Cotter), Hopewell, Pictou Co.; Stella, Tatamagouche; brothers, Lorne, Tatamagouche; Carl, Brule Shore; several nieces and nephews. BROWN, Charles Edward - 68, New Minas, formerly of Centreville, Kings Co., died February 7, 1999, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in South Alton, Kings Co., he was a son of Susan (Welton) Brown, Truro, formerly of Scotts Bay, and the late Arthur Brown. He lived in the valley area all of his life. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces in Germany from 1950-53. He was formerly employed as a heavy equipment operator. Surviving are his wife, the former Marion Farris; daughter, Debbie McGill, South Alton; brother, Gerry, Oromocto, N.B.; a grandson. He was predeceased by brother, Roy; sister, Alice. He was a veteran of the Second World War and was retired from the Dockyard as an electrician in 1979 after 28 years of service. He was predeceased by sister, Winnifer Oakley. Surviving are children, Karen (George Fraser), Sioux Lookout, Ont.; Verna Langley (Allen), Pictou Landing Road; Vernon, at home; Marsha (Lawerence Herney), Pictou Landing; grandchildren, Kara, Patrick, Kit'pu, Pi'Kun and Andrew; sisters, Sarah Francis, Jennie Stevens, Josephine Gould, Mary Hatfield, all of Pictou Landing; Anne-Marie Gloade, Truro; brothers, Anthony Nicholas, Noel Nicholas, Durney Nicholas, all of Pictou Landing; Joseph Nicholas, Waycobah.
