Margaret Catherine Lott, age 92, passed away peacefully at People Care, Tavistock on December 23, 2012. Margaret was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Ernest and Louisa Tribick. Beloved wife of the late Donald Lott who predeceased her December 26, 1982. Loving mother of Bill Lott, David Lott, Diane O'Neil (Dennis). Grandmother of Dale Lott (Flo), Cory Lott, Terry Dahl (Cam), Kelly Lott, Chris Lott (Dawn), Cindy Lott, Devyn Burgess, Stephanie Burgess-Smith (Murray), Shawndra O'Neil (Mike), J.R. O'Neil (Lauren). Grandmother of 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister-in-law June Tribick, the Lott family; Hazel Christie (Bob), Jim Lott (Joan), Joanne Lott and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a step mother Clara Tribick, a daughter-in-law Patricia Lott, a granddaughter Darcy Elizabeth Lott, a brother Harry Tribick and a brother-in-law Raymond Lott. Margaret had been an active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Stratford. She was a member of the Bell Choir, the A.C.W. and she loved her family, music and gardening. Randal Dale Broten, age 65, passed away at the Stratford General Hospital on Sunday December 23, 2012. Born in Cambridge, son of the late Rudy and Lynn (Allison) Broten. Beloved husband of 31 years to Gail (Winter) Broten. Dear brother of Carolyn Moore (predeceased) and partner Ron Jean-Marie. Survived by mother and father-in-law Sarah and Hugo Winters, brothers and sisters-in-law; Glen and Linda Winters, Dale Winter (predeceased), Linda Winter, Rose Winters and partner Harvey Samuel, Ed Winter, Betty Winter, Cindy and Bob Montgomery, Sue and Paul Sinclair. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews; Shannon, Jennifer and Amy, Terri, Chris and Emily, Daniel and Greg, and three great nieces Lauren, Ella and Nova. Agnes Jean Elliott, age 95, of Cedarcroft Place, Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on December 24, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Forbes Elliott who predeceased her June 19, 1981. Loving mother of Jim Elliott (Elaine) and Murray Elliott. Ray. Grandmother of Bruce (Josee), Sandra (Keith) and great grandmother of Alenie. Jean had worked with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food for 23 years. She had been an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Stratford. A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, December 29, at 11 a.m. with reception to follow. Gordon John "Bud" Wake
Born June 25, 1929, in Stratford, Ontario. passed away peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on December 26, 2012, in his 84th year. Loving husband for 60 years of Helen (nee Macdonald). Beloved father of Christine, Kato and her husband Billy Munnelly, Harland and his wife Michele, and Thanh and his wife Anh, adoring grandfather of five; Dylan, Preston, Simon, Kim and David and great grandfather of Austin.
An employee of Ontario Hydro for 40 years, first as a lineman, then instructor, Bud was a Freemason and an avid lawn bowler, and enjoyed music, photography, gardening and woodcarving. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

BAKER, Mary Catherine (Hanley)
Following a brief illness, Mary passed away at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Monday, December 24, 2012 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Baker, loving mother of Nancy Watt (Peter), Bernard Baker (Donna), Cathy Mitchell (Tim) and Grandmother to Jennifer Simoes (Al), Angela Watt, Amanda Kuepfer (Dan), Meagan Grant (Dave), Christian Baker (Trish), Michael Baker (Andrea), Justin Baker and 10 great grand-children. She is also survived by sister-in-law Monica Bettridge and brother-in-law Joseph Mercer and predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Margaret Hanley and her great grandson, Tyler David Grant in infancy. She will be greatly missed by her friends Jane Pfeffer, Laurie Brown-Mavity, Robby-lyn Baker, the staff of the Mitchell Nursing Home and many of the residents. At Mary’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Raymond Wellington Brown of Woodstock and formerly Stratford, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012 at Sakura House in Woodstock in his 70th year. Ray was the son of the late John and Phyllis (Hanna) Brown. sister-in-law Joey Cassels, B.C. He was pre-deceased by his parents, one sister, Gwen and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Ray served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years. He was active in the Naval Association, the Royal Canadian Legion and the Stratford Sea Cadets. RAYMOND NOTHDURFT
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ray on Wednesday, December 26th, 2012 in his 48th year. He was the best friend and most wonderful husband of 26 years to Joanne (Walton), the most amazing, proud father and "be studious" mentor to his two precious children, Jake and Lauren. He was the most dedicated son of Trudy and the late Andrew Nothdurft of St. Catharines, the admired big brother to Glen, and loving brother to his big sister, Connie (Andy). He was "the son we never had" to his in-laws Vincent and Patricia Walton of Guelph. He will be greatly missed by sister-in-law Kathryn Vadala (Michael), precious nephews Aidan, Brandon and nieces Miranda and Keely. He loved family gatherings with his beloved Uncle Norbert Krebs (Faye), his Aunty Evelyn McNabney and Aunty Helga Krebs (Bernie). He will be missed by his many cousins, both here and overseas. The extended Walton, Sunderland, Keating, McKay and Vadala families will all miss him dearly. Ray was a Professional Engineer and moved to Stratford 15 years ago to work in the Engineering and Public Works Department at the City of Stratford. He immersed himself in the community and loved creating a better Stratford. He coached Minor Soccer for many years for both his children and also coached both in Rotary Hockey. When not coaching he was the proudest sideline fan to his childrens' many sporting events with Skyac Swim Team, Stinger and Cobras volleyball, Striker Soccer and St. Michaels school sports teams. Ray was an avid motorcyclist and also a part time Motorcycle Instructor at Fanshawe College doing weekend instruction and certification to new motorcycle riders to ensure safety on the roads. Over the past years Ray and Joanne had started their bucket list and taken family adventures with their children to explore New York City, dip their toes in the Cuban sand, plane rides over the Grand Canyon, Walt Disney World Adventures and a most recent Las Vegas trip to celebrate 25 years of marriage. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford, on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A memorial celebration will be held on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford followed by a luncheon reception at City Hall Auditorium. Kevin O'Brien
Kevin Paul O'Brien, age 56, of Stratford passed away on Wednesday December 26, 2012. Born in Toronto, beloved son of Vera and John O'Brien, Ajax, Ontario. Dear brother of John Thomas and Margaret Mary O'Brien, Kelowna, B.C., Brenda and Willie Darte, Grande Cache, Alberta, Michael David and Jackie O'Brien, Edmonton, Alberta, Robert Murray and Janice O'Brien, Round Rock, Texas, Vera-Lyn O'Brien, Whitby, Ontario. Also survived by nieces and nephews; Daniel Francis O'Brien, Sean Thomas O'Brien and Katie Elizabeth O'Brien, Keena Dawn Darte, Christin Nicole O'Brien and Matthew Connor O'Brien, Noah John Trevisanello. Kevin was a master carpet and tiler journeyman who completed his college training at Conestoga College and apprenticed in Stratford. He was an avid cyclist and was a voracious reader . Kevin had a sharp wit and an excellent sense of humour. He was very intuitive and perceptive. Kevin was a rambler and lived in many places throughout Canada including Alberta and B.C. In another lifetime he probably would have been a stand-up comic.

Edith Taylor (Aitcheson)
Edith Taylor, age 86, of Spruce Lodge, Stratford passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 2, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Taylor whom she married on July 7, 1954 and who predeceased her on February 18, 2005. Loving mother of Robert Taylor and wife Paula of St. Pauls. Cherished Grandmother of Chris and Rebecca. Also survived by a sister-in law Gwen Aitcheson and many nieces and nephews. Edith was Born in Downie Township, where she lived all her life until 1989, when her and Alvin moved to Stratford to retire. Edith was a life member of Avonton Women’s Institute & a life member of the Ladies Aid & W.M.S. of Avonton Presbyterian Church. Edith was predeceased by her twin brother Earl and Ross, sisters Annis Conley (Henry), Ruth Strohm (Harold) and brothers-in-laws Jack & Arthur Taylor.
