Robert Corbett
1927 - 2004
passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital.
Bob Corbett in his 77th year was the beloved husband of Genevieve (nee Gregory) Corbett for 53 years. Dear father of Donald Corbett of Nova Scotia and Meredith of Kitchener, Judith and husband Phillip Christensen of Kitchener, James, Steven, and Kenneth Corbett, Karen and husband Herbert Benedict all of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Jessica and Fallon Corbett, Michael and Timothy Christensen, Michel Archambault and Raven Benedict. Great-grandfather of Mikaylah Corbett.
Bob was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #530, Waterloo.
Dear brother of Margaret McPherson, Daniel Corbett and his wife Anna all of NS, James Corbett and his wife Lucianna of Ottawa, Condon Corbett and Mary and her her husband Russell Buffett all of NS. Predeceased by parents Donald and Ubah Corbett, brothers Randolph, Gerald.
Bob’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467). Legion service 7 P.M. Thursday evening.
Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 20, 2004 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception. Interment Williamsburg cemetery.

passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, February 4, 2004. Kathryn Cowan in her 69th year was the beloved wife of Jim Parkins of Waterloo. Dear daughter of Kathleen Snell of Waterloo and her late husband John Cowan (1963) and daughter-in-law of James and Jeanne Parkins of London. Loving sister of Nancy Porter of Waterloo, Bea and her husband Terry Gascho of Kitchener and Grayce and her husband Gerry Minor of Waterloo. Dear aunt of Jon and Kerry Porter, Jill and Patrick Kelly, Tim and Laurie Simpson. Predeased by her brother-in-law Bill Porter.
Kathryn’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Friday, February 6, 2004 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467).
Funeral service 1 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2004 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception.

passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at A.R. Goudie Eventide Home, in his 88th year.
Beloved husband of Norma (nee Walther) for 55 years. Loving father of Jerry and his wife Dianne, Bill and his wife Marlene all of Kitchener, Pamela Peterson of Courtice and Eddie and his wife Winnie of Ottawa. Bill will be missed by his grandchildren, Jeff Peterson and his wife Linda, Jarid Peterson and his wife Brenda, Joe Peterson, Derek Peterson, Shane, Alex and Rebecca Hart, Debbie, Cheryl and Daryl and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of George Peterson and his wife Stella and Harry Peterson and his wife Vera all of Kitchener. Survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred and Barb Walther, Doug Walther, Marie Walther and Irvin and Stella Hoerle.
Predeceased by parents Paul and his wife Barbara (nee Turow) Peterson and brother Mike Peterson and sister Olga Seip and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Irene Hahn, Ed Walther, Daisy Walther and Emil and Pauline Hornburg.
Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467).
Funeral service 2 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2004 in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment Parkview cemetery.

William (Bill) Bronson

With great sadness the family announces the passing of a wonderful, loving man, on Monday, January 12, 2004 at the age of 83. Bill passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Woodstock General Hospital.
Bill was a loving husband to Lillian (nee Kipp) for 22 years and to his late wife Amy (nee Hethrington). He was predeceased by his parents Arnold “Tim” and Janet (nee Williamson) Bronson, and his siblings, George, Douglas, Arnold (Steve), Donald, Sonny Boy, Violet Sheahan, Rose Bell, and Jean Caldwell. He is survived by his beloved sisters, Phyllis Sylvester of St. Catharines and Martha and her husband Sid Sylvester of Burlington.
A devoted family man, father to Barbara Brearley and Bill Hughes of Hamilton; Cathy and her husband Doug Scott of Spokane, Washington; Donna and her husband Bill Duncan of Kitchener; Janet and her husband Chuck Howitt of Kitchener; Arnie and his wife Jeannette Bronson of London, Ontario.
He was a proud grandfather to Gary, Lorie (Robb), Doug, Ted and Scott Brearley; Amy, Brianna and Jody Scott; Ben and Jessica Wright; Ryan and Brennan Kraft; and Jesse Bronson.
Lovingly remembered by many friends and family including many great grandchildren and his favourite pets Koko, and Tinkerbell.
Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 P.M. Friday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467) and will continue from 11 A.M. Saturday until 12 Noon Saturday.
Bill’s life will be celebrated at 12 Noon Saturday, January 17, 2004 in the chapel of the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place. Interment in Woodland cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Team at Woodstock General Hospital would be greatly appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).

Father Eugene Tyson
1927 - 2003
passed away suddenly in Chepstow, Ontario Sunday, November 09, 2003 in his 77th year.
Dear brother of Gertrude Weiss and Shirley Fabragas of U.S.A.. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Florence (nee Haggerty) Tyson and brother George and Harry Tyson.
Visitation will take place from 4-9pm Monday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener and will continue on Tuesday from 4-9pm at St. Agatha R.C. Church, St. Agatha.
Scripture service 8pm Tuesday. Funeral Mass 1pm Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at St. Agatha R.C. Church. Interment Mount Hope cemetery , Kitchener.

Andrew (Andy) Robert Uhrig
1979 - 2003
Uhrig, Andrew Robert “Andy”: passed away as the result of a car accident on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the age of 23 years.
Loving son of Bob Uhrig of Grand Bend and Betty Uhrig of Kitchener. Step son of Carol Anne Uhrig of Kitchener. Cherished brother of Jessica Uhrig of Kitchener. Dear grandson of William Uhrig of Southampton. Nephew of Bill & Veryl Shrider of Port Elgin, Louann Harcourt of Guelph, Jim & Patti Shrider of Port Elgin, Sandra & Carel Reinhardus of Southampton, Bill & Dana Uhrig of Milton, and Judy & Colin Merritt of Waterloo. Cousin of Wendy & Richard Quirck, Kim & Ed Roman, Kerri & John Gallop, Kristan Shrider, Keri & Brad Davies, Jodi Merritt and David Uhrig. Andy will be fondly remembered by his friends and the many lives of those he touched.
Predeceased by his grandparents, Mabel Uhrig, and Louis & Mabel Shrider.
Andy’s Family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (749-8467) Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, and Wednesday from 11-1PM.
The Funeral service for Andy will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 1PM. Cremation will take place, and Andy’s cremated remains will be interred with his grandparents in Tiverton, ON.

Antonio DeSousa

passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Sunday March 16, 2003.
Antonio DeSousa in his 60th year was the beloved husband of Narcisa (Pereira) DeSousa for 35 years. Dear father of Isabel and her husband Jorge Sanchez, Lurdes and her husband David Hawkins, Jorge DeSousa and his wife Emma and Crestina DeSousa all of Kitchener. Antonio will be missed by his grandchildren Alex, Naya, Nicole, Dylan, Ethan, Madeline and Cassidy. Dear brother of Olivia, Herculano, Jose, Manuel, Alpoin, Augusto and Anibal. Predeceased by his brothers Ilidio and Francisco DeSousa.
Antonio’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9pm Monday and 2-4 and 7-9pm Tuesday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Parish prayers 8:45pm Tuesday evening.
Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel 9:30am Wednesday March 19, 2003 followed by transfer to St. Aloysius R.C. Church (11 Traynor Ave., Kitchener) for Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Fr. Father Cornelius O'Mahony PP officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery.

Blake, Edward James
1959 - 2003
passed away peacefully Monday, October 6, 2003 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital after a short battle with Cancer.
Much loved companion, friend and husband of Barbara (nee Berg) for 17 years. Cherished father of Jacob and Joseph. Loving son of Carol Carter of Palmerston and son-in-law of Erma and Sid Cheeseman of Kitchener. Eddie will be missed by many, many friends.

passed away suddenly at the age of 42, on Wednesday, September 3, 2003. Judy is now resting with her beautiful daughter, Abby.
Beloved wife and best friend of Michael Iutzi and cherished mother to Ryan and Taylor. Much loved daughter and daughter-in-law of Ray and Josie Caravaggio and Stan and Marg Iutzi. Sister and sister-in-law to Rick Caravaggio and his wife Jan, Marie Peever and her husband John, Cheryl and her husband Daryl Shane and Shelley and her husband Brian Townend. She will be sadly missed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

SZYMCZAK, Marian - passed away peacefully, on June 3, 2004, at Sunnyside Nursing Home, in his 89th year. Marian Szymczak was born September 30, 1915 in Poznan, Poland. He is survived by one sister Natalia Kowalski in Lodz, Poland and one sister Gena Bazan in Fallon, Illinois. Marian will fondly be remembered by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Stefan and Taedeusz. Marian was employed by B.F. Goodrich for 30 years until his retirement. Marian was also a member of St. Joseph and St. John Society and a devoted member of Sacred Heart RC Church where he attended and helped with Mass for many years. Marian served in the Polish Army prior to the war, and then made his way to Canada via Italy in 1946. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch No. 412 where he participated in many Legion events. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel, 51 Benton at Church Street, Kitchener ( 742-4481) on Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. Rosary will be offered on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 7 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Father Stanislaw Zaryczny CR officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery Kitchener. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch No. 412 on Wellington Street. Donations to Sacred Heart Millennium Fund or the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
