John Marshall

His sense of humour was legendary, sharing daily tales about his cherished children - Jody, Tiffany and Lyndsay (Dave). Some of his most precious moments were as proud Papa to Jackson, Maddox, Zach and Matthew. Family to John extended beyond traditional boundaries to include his incredible fishing buddy, Potty, dear Zoe, many special friends and the little Black "B" - Boomer. John was born on March 25, 1947 to Jim and Dolly Marshall and spent his childhood "dancing the line" and "pushing the boundaries" with his three sisters - Tanya, Stephanie and Mignonne. He embraced life through his career choices - on the ambulance, as a firefighter, inspector, and ultimately the Chief of Fire Prevention for the London Fire Department. John's passions included fishing, artwork and music, and a life long romance with motorcycles. He lived in a world of hopes and dreams and never acknowledged the term, "I can't". He was a brave, colourful man with a huge heart and an unforgettable presence. "John, you spent a lifetime protecting us and we will carry you around in our hearts forever. We miss you already." "To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever."
