Begin, Douglas O. - Veteran of WWII, First Lieutenant and proud member of the Royal Canadian Regiment (1939-1945). Douglas passed away on Monday, December 13th, 2010 with his family around him at Gateway Haven, Wiarton at the age of 92 years. Much loved husband for over 71 years to the former Margaret Borland. Beloved father to Sandy and her husband Don Elliott, of Red Bay. Cherished grampa to Doug Elliott (partner Anna Balint), of Oliphant; Nancy Davis, of Burlington; and Bill Elliott, of Burlington. McKenzie, Donald Glenn - Don passed away at age 81, at the Wiarton Hospital on November 28, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Dudley; their three children: John and his wife Marianne, Pete and his wife Lisa, Nancy and her husband Dale Wice; and by five grandchildren: Stacey and Patrick McKenzie, Wendel and Laura McKenzie, and Shelley Wice. Cherished grandfather of Carolyn (Wayne Simmons), Kevin, Corinna, Dustin, Adam, Miranda (Travis Kreuger), Chad, Craig, Christy, Cara, Chloe, Rory, Trevor, Chantelle, Mitchell (Becca), Marlee, Jayme Anne, Libby, Spencer, Brittany, Josie, Jada, Allison, Zach, Nicole and Marissa; and great-grandfather of Reid, Rhett, Mackenzie, Payton, Marcus, Josolyn, Clay and Olivia. Ivan will be remembered as one of the biggest beef farmers in the Eastnor Township area; and for his efforts in local politics, serving as Bruce County Warden (1985), and 24 years on the Eastnor Township Council and Bruce County Council.
