Margaret Rose Sutherland
December 18, 1918 - October 5, 2000

Funeral arrangements by Nicholls Funeral Home

At the Villa Retirement Lodge in Midland, Ontario on October 5 2000 in her 82nd year.

Margaret was born near Markdale, Ontario on December 18th, 1918. She attended public school in Alliston, Ontario and high school at the O.S.C.V.I. in Owen Sound.

She worked for many years at the Toronto Dominion Bank at the head office in Toronto. Margaret is survived by her sister June Taylor of Plant City, Florida, her brother Don of Cochrane, Alberta and cousins Charlotte Horton and Viola Bothwell of Owen Sound, Doris Grant of Burlington and many nieces and nephews.

She was Predeceased by her sister Betty and brothers Clarence and John.

A graveside service will be held at the Alliston Union cemetery , Alliston, Ontario at 2 p.m. on Wednesday October 11, 2000.

John Parsons
March 11, 1920 - August 31, 2000

At the Huronia District Hospital, Midland on Thursday, August 31, 2000 in his 81st year.

John Parsons of Port McNicoll, dear husband of the late Georgie Roberta Hyde Parsons. Beloved father of George Parsons of Toronto and Maridene Louise Parsons and her husband Randy Victor Vokes of Simcoe, and their children Carli Rebecca Anne Vokes and Georgie Constance Margaret Vokes. John is survived by his brothers Tom, Ernest, and his sister, Alma. Predeceased by his brother Rex and Peter. Will be sadly missed by the extended Parsons family.

John was born in Newfoundland and served six years in the British Navy during World War 2. When he was in good health, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 80, Midland.

By his request, there will be no public funeral service or visitation. Cremation. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and will be received by the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland L4R 3K7.

Alberta Maude Nicholls
January 16, 1915 - October 7, 2000

Alberta Maude Budd, beloved wife for 66 years of Donald Lawrence (Dan) Nicholls. Dear mother of Dean and his wife Elaine, and Glenn (Red) and his wife Barbara, of Midland. Loving grandmother of Dr. Andrew Nicholls and his wife Dr. Pamela London of Buffalo, Katherine Nicholls and Joseph Chrastina of New York, Corry Nicholls, Annie and her husband Dave Scott, all of Toronto and Sub. Lieut. Nancy Nicholls R.C.N. of Esquimalt B.C.

Dear sister of Lillian (Mrs. William Webdale) of Cameron, Irene Whitfield of Woodville, and Hazel (Mrs. Ralph Veale) of Beaverton. Prdeceased by Blanche Chalmers.

Resting at the family funeral home, 330 Midland Ave, Midland on Monday October 9th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 539 Hugel Ave, Midland on Tuesday October 10th at 1:30 p.m. Cremation.

Memorial donations to the Huronia Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated.

Isabella Marie Jacques
August 1919 - September 15, 2000

Isabella Lefaive beloved wife of Joseph Jacques of Midland. Loving mother to Brian Jacques of Midland, Linda Jacques of Kingston and Michael Jacques and his wife Vivian of Honey Harbour. Dear sister of Elanor Panasiuk and Blanch Simson. Predeceased by the late Philip, Reginald, Harold and Zita Lefaive, and Fedora Curry.

Loving grandmother to Michael, Leigh-anne, Heather, Danielle, Jacquline, Stephen and Jessica.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Monday September 18th from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday September 19th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Honey Harbour on Wednesday September 20, 2000 at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Margaret’s cemetery Midland.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Herbert Cascanette
June 6, 1902 - September 15, 2000

Herbert Cascanette of Port Severn, beloved husband of Florence Cascanette and the late Anna Leduc. Survived by his sons Raymond, Charlie and Leonard, and his daughters Alice Rowe, Nancy Contois and her late husband Bob, Shirely Cascanette, and Pamela Cascanette, and the late Verna Moreau and Eileen.

Lovingly remembered by his step children Reta Harding and her late husband Arthur, Jean Bressette, Winnifred Bressette and her late husband Adelore, Virginia Subetiny and her late husband John, and the late Oliver, Edward and Freeman. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Alice Brosseur, Elizabeth Sager, Phoebe, and William Cascanette.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave, Midland on Sunday September 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jean the Baptiste Church, Port Severn on Monday September 18th at 11 a.m. Interment at St. John’s cemetery , Waubaushene.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Long time friend of over 23 years off Mary Anne Ladouceur. Dear father of Mary Marlene, Murray, Marvin, Mary Jane and Mark all of Midland. Grandfather of 13 grandchildren. Will be remembered by his brothers Orval of Orillia and Brian of Victoria B.C.

Predeceaced by his brothers Eldon and Robert and parents Mable and Aberdeen Belfry.

The late Mabel Adamson will be resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Avenue, Midland on Monday September 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Tuesday September 5th at 2 p.m.

Interment St. John’s cemetery , Waverley.

Loving grandfather of seven grandchildren. Dear brother of Nellie Joyce, Annie Harris both of Gore Bay, Gertrude Greenman of Barry Island, and Mary Cowan of Indiana, USA, and Jessie Summers of Toronto. Pre-deceased by Dorothy Tregea, Jean Wismer and Larry Donaldson.

Resting at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave, Midland on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday October 12th at 1 p.m. Interment Lakeview cemetery , Midland.

Edward 'Ted' Donald Demers
July 27, 1973 - October 16, 2000

Beloved son of Marc and Terry Demers of Midland. Dear brother of Donna Edwards and her husband Bill of Midland. Loving grandson of Isabelle Demers and the late Edward Demers of Pembroke, and Donald and Violet Porter of Cochrane.

Will be sadly missed by his companion Trish Lamoureux. Dear uncle of Amica and Amanda Edwards and surrogate uncle of Ryan and Kirsten Lamoureux. Fondly remembered by Jim and Sandy Therrien, Wally and Charlie Burlison and their respective families. Ted is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
