Peacefully after a brief illness, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Sunday, October 1st, 2000, in his 70th year.
Beloved husband of Patricia Black. Dear father of Ron, Dianne, Debbie, Steve and his wife Amy, Donna and her husband Dominic Sgro and their mother Susan Spencer; Sean Lodge, Willy, Alex, Joanne and their mother Teresa Lodge.
Dear step father of Noel, Sean and Frances. Dear brother of Janette, Aileen, Ann, Desmond, Ivan, Maria, Lornie, Julie, Linda and the late Edward, Ernest and Leonard.
Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Nelson will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A special thanks to Dr. Wes Oczkowski and the nursing staff of 7 South for their kindness and understanding.
Nelson was a member of the Army and Navy Veterans Society.

passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on August 13, 2000, at the age of 75.
Beloved wife of Michele. Beloved mother of Antonio and wife Mara, Rosina and Santo. Will be missed by grandchildren Maria and Ron, Michele, Nadia, Luca, Francesca and Gabriella.
Survived by brother Michele and wife Rosina Spadafora and Angela (Giuseppe) Dodaro of Italy. As well as brothers and sisters-in-law Michele and Ida Gatto, Teresa and the late Ippolito Spadafora, Ida and the late Eugenio Spadafora, Francesco and Rita Fortino of Sault Ste. Marie and Annina and the late Eugenio Filice.
Predeceased by sisters Marianna (Palmo) Spadafora, Ida (Giovanni) Carbone, Laura (Antonio) Pagliaro of Italy, and brothers Ippolito and Eugenio Spadafora, as well as sisters-in-law Virginia (Giovanni) Bozzo, Filomena (Antonio) Bozzo, and brother-in-law Giuseppe (Marietta/Adelina) Fortino of Italy. Predeceased by herloving parents Giovanni and Rosina Spadafora. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fortino will be resting at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, August 16 at Regina Mundi Church at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Peacefully and with great courage, at the Henderson General Hospital, on May 21, 2000, at the age of 32.
Chris shared a deep everlasting love with his soulmate Emilia. Their daughters Sofia and Veronica were the soul of his life. He lives in the hearts of his parents, Ray and Carmie; siblings Stephanie, Jeff and Donna, grandmother Martha, parents-in-law Frank and Maria Bozzo, Brother-in-law Frank Jr., grandmother-in-law Emilia Bozzo and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by grandparents Norman Domet, and Carmelo and Frances Piccolo. Chris thrived on the love and companionship of his family and friends.
Chris’ fascination for numbers and logic allowed him to excel as senior computer consultant at Software Spectrum for a regrettably short time. Chris, with his passion for music, selfless heart, inspiring courage, keen wit and sharp intelligence is loved by all who knew him.

On Monday, August 23, 1999 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 79th year. After a brief illness and suffering, Mario passed into God's hands and was in the presence of his loving family.
Beloved husband of Ilda Ventresca. Much loved father of Paul and his wife Diana Iuele of Sudbury and Teresa of Toronto. Beloved Nono of Andrea, Julian and Olivia. Dear son of the late Paolo and Teresa Del Greco of Italy. Dear brother of Filomena and the late Pasquale Lombardo, the late Yolanda and the late Nicola Villani, the late Ottavio and his wife Raffaellina, the late Arnaldo and the late Giuseppina. Dear brother-in-law of Vena and her late husband Elio Volpe of Italy, Ailanda and Domenico Foglietta, Mario and Italia Ventresca, Giuseppe and Maria Ventresca, the late Giannina and her husband Francesco Imperatore, Maria and Michele Fortunato, all of Hamilton and Stoney Creek. Also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins from Canada, Italy and the United States.
Mario loved his adpoted country and he lived life to the fullest including his love for opera (Verdi) and soccer (Fiorentina). Dear brother and brother-in-law of Concetta and the late Diego Caltagirone, Maria and the late Calogero Cino, Giovanni and Giuseppina Caltagirone, Calogero and Lina Caltagirone. Vincent and Giuseppina Vella, Giuseppina and Calogero Puma, Natale and Franca Vella. Vincenzo will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Vincenzo was a retired employee of Dofasco after 33 years.
