Beloved husband of Phyllis Thompson. Loving father of Roy Thompson, Melanie and her husband George McAulay and Margaret Lindsay all of Hamilton and Penny and her husband Elgin Powless of Dundas.
Loving Papa of 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
At Stinson’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation.

Douglas William Roderick Thwaites
January 31, 1919 - December 9, 2000

Died at age 81 in Henderson Hospital after a short illness. Doug was born in Waterville, Que., but spent most of his adult life in Hamilton, where he worked for many years for Camco. He is survived by his wife, Elixabeth and his son, Gordon, who will miss his companionship, and by a sister, Lillian Maude Learned. His passing is also regretted by newhews, nieces, and cousins, whose lives Doug always followed with interest and concern. May he rest in peace.
Bea and Gordon would like to express their special thanks to Lorraine and Andy Jarvis, for their support during Doug's illness.
Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respect at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home "Robinson Chapel" (King St. East at Wellington) on Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at 1 pm. until time of service at 2 pm in the Robinson Chapel. The Reverend Scott McNaughton will Officiate. Interment of Cremated Remains will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Peacefully at the Wellington Nursing Home on Friday, December 8, 2000 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Glover (1983).
Loving mother of Robert Glover of British Colmbia and Dorothy Cooley and the Late Gord of Dundas. Dear grandmother of Terry, Susan, Ron, and Gord. She will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Beloved husband of Kathleen (Fowler) for 70 years. Loving father of Norman, Barbara (Charlie) Mattina, Bert (Sheila) Stillwell. Loving grandfather of Cameron, Charlene, Anthony and Stephen.
Bert retired from Donald Rope and Wire after 50 years of service. Co-founder of Canadian Adult Rover Travel Club.
A private family service to celebrate Bert’s life will be held on December 13, 2000. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Beloved wife of the late Melvin Blake. Dear mother of Gordon and Doreen, Fred and Shirley, Dorothy Wittaker, Joan Maloney, Susan Bryant, Joyce Blake and Norma Blake.
Predeceased by her sons Robert and Gerald and son-in-law Douglas. Remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and her sister Violet Graham. Alice Blake was a member of Garside Bible Church.

Wilhelmina was a member of the C.N.I.B., Y.W.C.A. and an Honourary Life Member of the Priory of Canada of St. John’s Ambulance.
Beloved sister of Norma Churchill, Marion Persall of Simcoe and Mike (Milton) Wallace and his wife Virginia of Edmonton.
Dear aunt to Gay Miller and her husband Chris and Gary Churchill. Great aunt to Jacqueline and her husband Nate Dekar of San Francisco, and Jason Miller and his wife Jennifer of Winona. She will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Predeceased by her sisters; Flora, Verrall, Lorine Walker, Luella Florence and her brothers Robert Wallace and William Wallace.
