January 27, 1923 - December 9, 2000

Jean Rosina Dawson (nee Ling) longtime member of Bellefair United Church passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 9, 2000. Sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, Wally, son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sandi, grandchildren, Andrea, Ian and Sean and her beagle, Cindy. Dear sister of Bob and his wife, Mary Ling, sister-in-law to Audrey and her late husband Walter Ling.

Friends may visit at the Sherrin Funeral Home, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto (west of Victoria Park Ave.) on Monday, December 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Bellefair United Church, 2 Bellefair Ave., (at Queen St. E.) on Tuesday, December 12 at 11 a.m. Interment following at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Sadie (Sarah) Clark
December 5, 1920 - December 22, 2000

Suddenly, after a brief illness on Friday, December 22, 2000 at the Toronto East General Hospital, in her 81st year.

Sadie, beloved wife of the late Samuel. Loving mother of Betty and her husband Warren, Janice and her husband Duncan, Maureen and her husband Stewart.

Cherished grandmother of Leah, Graeme, Cameron and Erin. Loving sister of Kathleen Beech of Vancouver. Predeceased by brothers James and Robert Doherty. Fondly remembered by neices Sharon, Joan, Leslie, Norma and Barbara.

Friends will be received at SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto (west of Victoria Park Ave. 416-698-2861) on Saturday from 6-8 pm and Sunday from 2-4 pm. Service to be held at Bellefair United Church, 2 Bellefair Avenue, (Queen Street E. & Bellefair Ave), Toronto, on Tuesday, December 26, 2000. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Anne Gallagher
November 26, 1920 - December 21, 2000

Anne, beloved wife of Charles Gallagher. Loving mother of Margaret and her husband Gunter, Isobel and her husband Ian, Jim and his wife Luba and Anne and her husband Gary.

Very special grandmother of Mark, Deanna, Ian, Craig, Leanne, Ewe, Alexis, Stephanie and Kyle.

Anne will be forever remembered for her devotion, inspiration and support to all her family and friends.

She was filled with a zest for life that knew no bounds. Special thanks to Dr. I. Brankston, Bev of Durham Access To Care, Tracey, Shelley and Carolyn of ParaMed for their loving care and dedication to our mother.

Dennis Mark
September 29, 1970 - December 26, 2000

On Tuesday December 26, 2000, Dennis Mark passed away as the result of a snowboarding accident near Barrie.

Dennis Mark in his 31st year, dearly beloved son of Thomas and May Mark and cherished grandson of grandma Ng. Dennis will be missed by his eldest sister Cynthia and her husband Steven McCarrey, his eldest brother Robert and his youngest brother Steven. Dennis will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends.

Friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Rd., Toronto (west of Victoria Park Avenue) (416-698-2861) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Saturday, December 30th, 2000 at 1 o’clock. Interment Mount Pleasant cemetery.

Violet Vera Adams (nee Tomlinson)
June 14, 1918 - December 23, 2000

Peacefully at her residence on Saturday, December 23, 2000, Violet in her 83rd year, beloved wife of the late Alistair John Mason, the late Thomas Alexander Scott and the late William Keith Adams.

Loving mother of Barbara Hanson, Margaret Riddell, Thomas Scott, John Scott and Keith Adams. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and great grandmother of 4 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Margaret Tomlinson.

Michael Anthony Meredith
November 23, 1940 - January 13, 2001

Peacefully on January 13th, 2001 at the Toronto East General Hospital in his 61st year.

Michael, dearly loved husband and best friend of Stephanie. Loving son of Rose and the late Jack Meredith and son-in-law of Margaret and the late Victor Christie. Brother in law of Ann and Alan Christie.

Mentor and role model to many students during his long teaching career as a physical and health education teacher at Don Mills Jr. High School, Milneford Jr. High School and Windfields Jr. High School.

His love of running inspired him to run the Boston Marathon 18 times. Mike was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be loving remembered by many dear friends.

Friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto (west of Victoria Park Ave.) (416-698-2861) on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church, 300 Wolverleigh Blvd., on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation Highland Memory Gardens.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Oncology Clinic at the Toronto East General Hospital, Wellspring or to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Mike.

Olive King (nee Gordon)
July 7, 1915 - January 11, 2001

After a lifetime of devotion to her family and service to her church and community, Olive passed away at Toronto East General Hospital.

Cherished wife and lifelong sweetheart of the late Syd.

Beloved mother of Jean and her husband Merrill Kluwak and predeceased by sons Jack and Joe. Very special grandmother to Janice and Ron Brown, Todd and Joyce, Adam and the late Michael Kluwak and wife Renee Quesnel. Caring great grandmother of Natassja, Jesse, Sara, Natalie, Aaron, Elizabeth and Nathan. Dearly loved sister of Margaret Adam, Jean Wilson, and the late Herb and Jack and dear sister in law of Pat Gordon.

In accordance with her wishes, no service or visitation will be held. Cremation. A tree planting ceremony to honour her memory will take place in the spring at the Calvary Baptist Church farm.

Olive was a woman of uncommon grace, who will be missed for all our tomorrows and remembered for all our yesterdays.

Loving mother of Bill and his wife Mary, and Bob and his wife Susan. Grandmother of Billy and Susan, and Ron and Karen. Great grandmother of Billy, Tina and Bailey.

Sister of Roy Watts, Olive Watts and Althea Mortson. Loving aunt of Ollie Cooper. Predeceased by the late Stanley Watts. Amy will be missed by her family and many friends.
