July 2, 1938 - July 28, 2001

Funeral arrangements by McDougall & Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre - Scarborough Chapel

Peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2001 at Mount Sinai Hospital in her 64th year.

Survived by her former spouse Keith Steckley.

Loving mother of Jami Steckley, Jeff Steckley, and John and his wife Shawna Steckley.

Loving grandmother (Nana) of Nicole and Jacob.

Loving grandmother (Nana Banana Bowling Ball) of Jesse and Josh.

Loving great grandmother of Madyson. Survived by sister Shirlea MacKenzie, brother Walter (Sonny) Young.

She will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, friends, and especially her cat Batman.

She will be fondly remembered for her passion for astrology, her easygoing and lively personality.

Friends may visit at the "SCARBOROUGH CHAPEL" of McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Road (east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Saturday, August 4, 2001 from 1 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated.

In a heartbeat our lives have changed.

At St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Friday July 27, 2001, John Alfred Jones in his 52nd year.

Dearly loved by sons Cameron, Brandon and Kyle.

Fondly remembered by Debbie and siblings Nell, Freddie and Jean, Doreen (deceased) and Jerry, Margie (deceased) and Joe, Shirley and Charlie, Jeanie and Bill (deceased), Allan and Vera, Brian, Linda and Bill and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the Atlantic.

Special brother to Christine and Joe.

We will forever remember his big heart and his wonderful sense of humour.

Friends will be received at the “Scarborough Chapel” of McDougall & Brown 2900 Kingston Rd. (1 block east of St. Clair Ave.,) on Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Complete Chapel Service on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Viola McNay (nee Wiley)
January 12, 1902 - August 1, 2001

August 1, 2001, six months prior to her 100th birthday.

Predeceased by her husband Arthur, her son Douglas Spencer and her three sisters , Ruby, Ophie and Ollie and two brothers, Jack and Roy all of Allenford.

Vi leaves many friends both in East York where she lived for almost 50 years and her many cottage friends in the town of Bala.

She will be remembered always as the strong and caring matriarch of her son’s family.

Quinn Spencer and Carmelina of Brooklin, Ontario, Lisa Spencer, Marylou and Sarah of Victoria, B.C.

Her strength lives on in her seven great granddaughters, Rebecca, Shannon, Gabrielle, Chelsea, Madeline, Mariah and Julianna Faith.

Friends will be received at the “Scarborough Chapel” of McDougall and Brown 2900 Kingston Road (one block east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.

Predeceased by his wife Marjorie.

Loving father to Norma Joyce, Ralph Tibbles and his wife Marilyn.

Fondly remembered grandfather to Dr. Lee Anne Tibbles & Dr. Sanjay Wadhera, Thomas & Adrienne Tibbles, Dr. Anthony & Michele Tibbles and Noella Witte.

Great grandfather to Pearce & Alana Tibbles, Celine Wadhera, Noah & Maxwell Witte and Evan & Megan Tibbles.

Survived by his sister Rosaleen Waterston and his brother Gordon Tibbles.

Predeceased by his sister Olive Miller and his brothers Bert, Jack and Les. Ernest will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.

Born in Northern Ireland on October 27, 1894.

Long time resident of Greenwood Avenue, Toronto.

After 107 wonderful, loving years, she is greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of the late Hugh Hamilton Smith.

Mother of devoted daughters Marguerite McIlveen and Adele Rivers.

Predeceased by her sister Mary, brothers Ben, Tom, Bill, Andy and Bob, son-in-laws George Leslie and Jack.

Dearly loved by grandchildren; Brian, Sharon, and Craig, 7 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 53 nieces & nephews; and their families.

Friends may call the “Scarborough Chapel” of McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Rd. (east of St. Clair) on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 23, 2002 from 1-2 p.m.
