Peacefully after a courageous effort at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday July 19, 2001.
Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Tyrrell).
Loving father of Paul, Don and his wife Julia, Lynn and Daniel, Gail and her husband David Drummond and Cheryl and Dave.
Dear Grandfather of Meaghan, Clare and Samuelle and little Sam (tinker number two).
Brother of John and his wife Lois of Abbotsford, B.C.
Predeceased by his sister Bess Seale.
Fondly remembered by the Tyrrell, Chard and Witten Families.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr) Oakville on Sunday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
A celebration of Sam’s life that was well lived will be held at Munn’s United Church (Highway 5 at Sixth Line) Oakville on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada, Canine Vision, towards the purchase of a dog guide to be named in Sam’s honour.
Sam’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those at OTMH who cared for Sam with the care and compassion he so deserved.

Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
John was a well respected musician in the Hamilton and Oakville area for over 50 years.
He was a pianist, composer, arranger and band leader.
John taught piano privately and was a high school music teacher at T.A. Blakelock High School in Oakville for 22 years.
He will always be remembered by his many students and professional friends.
The family will receive friends at a memorial visitation at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr), Oakville, on Sunday, September 16th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
A Celebration of John’s life will be held on Sunday, September 30th at 2 o’clock at Walton United Church (Lakeshore Road at Bronte Road), Oakville.
