Samuel (Sam) C. McGowan
November 27, 1924 - July 19, 2001

Funeral arrangements by Oakview Funeral Home

(Life member of the Lions Club of Oakville, Lifetime resident of Oakville and Active member of Munn’s United Church)

Peacefully after a courageous effort at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday July 19, 2001.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Tyrrell).

Loving father of Paul, Don and his wife Julia, Lynn and Daniel, Gail and her husband David Drummond and Cheryl and Dave.

Dear Grandfather of Meaghan, Clare and Samuelle and little Sam (tinker number two).

Brother of John and his wife Lois of Abbotsford, B.C.

Predeceased by his sister Bess Seale.

Fondly remembered by the Tyrrell, Chard and Witten Families.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr) Oakville on Sunday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

A celebration of Sam’s life that was well lived will be held at Munn’s United Church (Highway 5 at Sixth Line) Oakville on Monday at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada, Canine Vision, towards the purchase of a dog guide to be named in Sam’s honour.

Sam’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all those at OTMH who cared for Sam with the care and compassion he so deserved.

June 17, 1920 - July 31, 2001

Peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 81.

Beloved wife of Frank. Loving mother of Miranda (Wayne) Bunting and Brian (Vanessa) Goossens.

Cherished grandmother of Mark, Derek, Kenneth and Justin; and Joshua, Christopher and Daniel.

Family received friends at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr St.) Oakville on Thursday from 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Oakview Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 3, 2001, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

John F. Macdonald
January 14, 1927 - September 10, 2001

Peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2001, at 74 years of age.

Cherished husband of Shirley.

Loving father of Janet Padiak, and Larry and his wife Margie.

Dear grandfather of Spencer Skene-Macdonald.

Loved brother of Murray (Grace) of Stoney Creek, Ross of Stoney Creek, Doug (Audrey) of Hamilton, Bruce (late Marion) of Binbrook, Lois (Herman) of Lethbridge, Alberta, and Olive (late Ross) Hunt of Hamilton.

Predeceased by his brother Glen of Hamilton.

Brother-in-law of Leone (Tom) Kalm, Vernon (Christine) Spencer and Carl (Shirley) Spencer.

Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

John was a well respected musician in the Hamilton and Oakville area for over 50 years.

He was a pianist, composer, arranger and band leader.

John taught piano privately and was a high school music teacher at T.A. Blakelock High School in Oakville for 22 years.

He will always be remembered by his many students and professional friends.

The family will receive friends at a memorial visitation at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr), Oakville, on Sunday, September 16th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.

A Celebration of John’s life will be held on Sunday, September 30th at 2 o’clock at Walton United Church (Lakeshore Road at Bronte Road), Oakville.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Ian Anderson House, Walton United Church or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

William (Bill) Nickolas Natychak
March 13, 1938 - September 27, 2001

Dear Pepe of Taylor, Jacob, Juhl, Kathryn and Paige. Loved brother of Moe and Jean, Kay and Alec, Bessie, Helen and Jack, Elsie and John, Joe and Sharon, Boris and Sheila, Steve and Lynn, Walter and Anna, Audrey and Dwaine.

Loving brother-in-law of Jill and Al, Gus and Merilyn, Jack and Carol, Gail and Jack, Mike And Lynn, Tim and Irene, Jerry and Louise, Anne and Dave, Debbie and Roy, Teddy, Patti and Norm, Peter and Denise.

Visitation will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home 56 Lakeshore Rd., West (One block of Kerr) Oakville on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew’s Church 1150 Monks Passage Oakville on Monday at 11 a.m.

If desired donations to the Oakville Humaine Society would be appreciated by the family.

Loving father of Nancy (Don, deceased) MacCharles of Rothesay, New Brunswick and Susan (Bill) McNeice of Bronte.

Also special father to Linda Bowen (Moore) of Hixon, B.C. and Gail Bowen (Brennan) of Fonthill.

Dear brother of Craig (Emily) Hill of Bronte and Ron (Nancy) Hill of Bedford, Nova Scotia. Devoted "Bop" of grandchildren Don, Jane (deceased), John, Alan and Mark MacCharles and Suzy (Pallo), Donna (Turnbull), Michael and Jonathan McNeice and Julie and Robert Brennan and great-grandfather of Amie, Alex, Olivia, Greg and Jordan, Clavin and Shawn.

Visitation will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr St.) Oakville, on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. followed by a private family service.

A public memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 3 p.m. at Walton Memorial Church, (Lakeshore Rd. & Bronte Rd., Oakville).

If desired, donations to Ian Anderson House or the Alzheimers Society.
