HALLADAY, Beatrice Margaret (Moore) - Passed away, on Saturday, April 6, 2002, at the Bennett Health Care Centre, Georgetown, Ont., in her 87th year. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Leslie (July 24, 1988) and was the dear mother of Joyce and her husband Chuck Auger, Willard Halladay and his wife Evelyn and Judy and her husband Jim Denny. Fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters, Margaret and Doris; her son, Bert and her granddaughter, Debbie Kepe McGilloway. She will be sadly missed by her son-in-law, Leo McGilloway and daughter-in-law, Faye Halladay. Predeceased by her grandson, James and great-grandson, Michael. Joanne will always be remembered for the joy she shared with friends at the Evergreen Seniors' Centre playing bridge. She also enjoyed the once-a-month cooking class offered through the Centre as this allowed her the opportunity to make a meal and bring it home to proudly show her family. The Centre became a place of importance to her as she felt her time there was useful to others. Joanne will be sadly missed by her dogs, Buddy & Max whom she loved dearly. Loved father of Dave (Crystal) Forsythe of Regina, Sask., Ken (Lyn) Forsythe of Slocan, B.C., Bill (Deb) Forsythe of Fergus, Rob Forsythe of Elora and Peter (Shelagh) Forsythe of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Christa, Mike, Ashley, Jim, Tammy, Jenni, Jessica, Logan, Grace, Katie, "Little Max", Patrick and Timothy and foster grands Kayla and Byron. Great-grandfather of Kayla, Alisha, Kimberley, Ryan, Kyle, Cheyenne and Aurora. Dear brother of Beth Cutler of Guelph and brother-in-law of Marion Forsythe. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Vera Gordon and brothers, Barclay, Doug and Lloyd Forsythe. Born in Eramosa Township, Max lived, worked and with Isabel raised their family of five boys, (no girls in case you were counting), in Guelph throughout his entire life. A veteran of the Second World War as a Warrant Officer in the RCAF, he operated Forsythe and Gerrie Real Estate and Insurance and later was the Manager of Halwell Mutual Insurance Company. He was a Past President of both the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association (OMIA) and the Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan (FMRP). Max was an avid curler, a Life Member and a Past President of the Guelph Curling Club having represented Ontario as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Col. John McCrae Memorial Branch No. 234, Guelph team in National Seniors Competitions. Faithful member of Chalmers United Church and longtime member of Speed Lodge No. 180 AF & AM GRC, Guelph. WALKER, Ralph McDougall - Passed away, suddenly, on Friday, March 22, 2002, at Hamilton General Hospital, at the age of 63. Loving husband and friend of Ariel (Felker) for 36 wonderful years; cherished son of Margaret and the late Reginald Walker of Guelph.
