passed away peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Monday, August 18, 2008 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Loving and devoted mother of Pamela Button. Predeceased by son David, sister Marie and brothers Donald and Lloyd. Survived by sisters Margaret, Hilda and husband Jim Turner, brother-in-law Vernon Browne and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008 in the Kopriva Chapel. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. REED, Arthur, Ernest
1925 - 2008

Arthur Reed passed away at the age of 82 on August 15, 2008, surrounded by family. Arthur spent most of his career as a high school teacher and technical director in London, Oakville (White Oaks High School), and Milton (E. C. Drury). He was a graduate of McMaster University (B.A.) and The University of Toronto (B.Ed.). He is survived by Donna, his loving wife of 57 years, brother Wilf, children Greg, Brent, and Rhonda, and five grandchildren: Erik, Katherine, Aubrey, Breanna, and Andrea. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 2:00pm at Church of the Epiphany, 141 Bronte Road, Oakville, ON, L6L 3C3. Robert (Bob) W. Burgess

There are no words to express the deepest gratitude the family of Robert (Bob) W. Burgess feel for the kindness, support, generosity and sympathy from our families, friends, neighbours and members of our community on the loss of our beloved Husband and devoted Father and Grandpa on September 3rd, 2008. We thank you for the beautiful flowers, memorial donations and sympathy cards. The loving care and support Bob received throughout his battle with cancer touched us enormously. A heartfelt gratitude to our friends and neighbours whose help we especially needed at this time. A special thank you to the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and staff of Ross Memorial Hospital (Lindsay) Pallative Care and the Emergency Dept.; Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre; Princess Margaret Hospital Lodge; City of Kawartha Lakes EMS; The Travois Transfer Ambulance and nurse escorts who made Bob's daily journeys as comfortable and pleasant as possible; and the Canadian Cancer Society's Transportation Services. Dear sister of Patricia, and her husband Dr. Patrick Sweeny. Mary was a former teacher with the Halton Board of Education. Helen was a life time resident of Milton and worked for Litton Systems for many years. Loved grandfather of Michelle and Heather Clinning and Mike, Scott and Ryan Clayton. Dear brother of Grace McLaughlin of Kitchener. EUSTACE (nee Nauman), Helen Vila

Peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late E.C. (Carter) Eustace, Dearest mother of Marilyn (David Clark), David (Franca Fusco) and Mark (Nancy Keith). Cherished grand-mother of Andrew Clark. Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada and the USA. Predeceased by her parents Harriet Mable (nee Boak) and Vernon Clifford Nauman. Born in Ottawa, Helen was a graduate of McDonald College. After her marriage in 1946, she lived in various cities throughout the Maritimes and Quebec before returning to Oakville, Ontario where she and Carter had lived for the past 40 years. Friends are invited to visit the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Wednesday, October 15 from 12-1 pm. Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00pm. FRANKS: Kenneth

Died at Ian Anderson House, Oakville after a long siege with cancer on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Ken was born on March 20, 1928 in Wallington, Surrey, England. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Edna (2003) and his beloved daughter Mandy (1987) and his first wife May (1982). He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn, his son David (Cheryl) and his grandchildren Rob and Catie Franks. He will be greatly missed by his extended family ' Leslie, David, Megan and Whitney Waychison, Michael, Pasha, Anastasia, John-Michael and Gabrielle Townshend, Robert and Julia Milmine. He has been cremated and at his request no service. There will however be a gathering on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600). Heartfelt thanks to Dr. DaSilva, Dr. Keely and Dr. Kaiser. We are very grateful for the help provided by the CCAC, especially Alison Powell. Dorothy passed away unexpectedly at the Milton Hospital on Sunday, October 5th, 2008, in her 89th year. She was the loving wife of George and the devoted mother of: Lynda Calbery, Donald Wright and his wife Cathy, David Wright and his wife Barbara, Douglas Wright and his wife Jenny, Mary-Ann and her husband Gary Elwood, George Presniak and his wife Kathy, Pat and her husband Bob Walker and Bill Presniak and his wife Fran. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her: grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her faith in the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays, as well as her knitting and other good works for the Salvation Army. The family will receive friends at the Mac Kinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street East, Acton on Wednesday, October 8th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the "Shoemaker Chapel" on Thursday at two o'clock.
