At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Thursday, August 12, 2004, Thomas George Bagnell, age 65, of Chatham, beloved husband of Anne (Mondo). Born in Chatham in 1939, son of Rosemary (Crowder) (Bagnell) Hodgkins of Auberry California and the late Raymond Bagnell, he was a 3rd degree member of council #8739 of The Knights of Columbus and a member of the Father James Assembly of the Knights. Tom was The Faithful Navigator of the Father James Assembly from 1993-4 and a Boy Scout Leader for 11 years. A Millwright and Compressor Operator, he worked for Oxford Automotive for 35 years.
He will be sadly missed by: a daughter Ursula and her companion Paul Campbell of Toronto and a son Ryan of Chatham.
He is predeceased by an infant sister Mary Ellen.

At Victoria Residence, Chatham, on Tuesday, August 17, 2004, Rosie Machacek, age 93, of Chatham-Kent, wife of the late Frank Machacek (1979). Born in Czechoslovakia in 1910, she was daughter of the late Antonie Kraus and Jakub Konecny.
She will be sadly missed by her children; 2 sons Mirek and (Gloria) of Toronto, William "Bill" Mary Ann of Charing Cross and 2 daughters; Helen Tavares of Sarnia and Rose Ann Machacek and (Ernie) of Oakville, 8 grandchildren; Fr. Michael, Robert, Ivan, Helen Marie, Terry, Ann, Kathy and Dave, 7 great-grandchildren and a sister Betty Chelar of the Czech Republic.
She is predeceased by 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Steven Bechard
Suddenly in Chatham, on Monday, October 25, 2004, Steven Bechard, at age 37.
Born in Simcoe on May 11, 1967, he was the son of Linda Bechard (her fiancé Larry Quenneville) of Chatham and the late Gary Lee Shepherd.
He will be sadly missed by: his fiancé, Lois Morgan of Chatham, 4 children, Shea Lynn and Aaron of Chatham, Garrett of Sarnia and Zachary of Wallaceburg, a sister Tammy Shepherd and her fiancé Mike Cunningham, a brother Keith Shepherd all of Chatham and 3 nephews.

Born in Chatham in 1939 son of the late Gwen and Alfred Butler, he worked in maintenance in the Downtown Chatham Mall until his retirement
Dear father of Sherrie Butler of Napanee, Robin Nixon of Blenheim, Karen Fredenburg and husband Dan of Bath and Mike Butler and wife Jackie of Fergus. Sadly missed by several grand and great grandchildren. Brother of Bill Butler and wife Jean of London.
He is predeceased by 3 sisters; Catherine, Edith and Violet
At the families request there will be no funeral home visitation or service.

Muriel O'Rourke
passed away peacefully at the Blenheim Community Village, on Monday, November 15, 2004, Muriel "Bill" O'Rourke, age 95, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late John "Joseph" O'Rourke (1992). Born in Chatham in 1908, daughter of the late Dorothy Grice and James P. Chinnick.
Loving mother of Marion Brister of Calgary, Dorothy O'Rourke of London, Alice Schroeder and her husband David of Connecticut U.S.A., Muriel Thibert and her husband Patrick of Mount Bridges, Mary O'Rourke of Blenheim, Joseph O'Rourke and his wife Diane of Sarnia and Michael O'Rourke and his wife Sally of Windsor. Sadly missed by 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Muriel was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters.
She is also predeceased by 2 daughters; Joanne Jeffery (1993) and Margaret O'Rourke.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Monday, November 22, 2004, Rupert Wallace Bedford, age 79 of Chatham-Kent, beloved husband of A. Patricia "Pat" (Glover) Bedford.
Born in Chatham in 1925 son of the late Adele L. Sandison and Burton L. Bedford.
Rupert was a longtime employee of Chatham Hydro for 35 years and was very active with the Chatham-Kent Family Y.M.C.A. for over 50+ years.
Loving father of John Bedford, William “Bill” Bedford and his wife Teena and Nancy P. Storm all of Chatham. Cherished and sadly missed by his grandchildren; Zachary, Rachel and Larissa Bedford and Joshua and Danika Storm. Also sadly missed by 2 cousins Margaret Copley of Chatham and Arthur Blakely of Niagara Falls.
He is predeceased by a brother Howard B. Bedford and a sister-in-law Eva Bedford.
A Memorial Service will be conducted in Victoria Avenue United Church, 91 Grand Ave. E. Chatham on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 11 am with Rev. Heather Scott officiating.
Burial of ashes took place in Ouvry cemetery , Dealtown.

Born in Chatham in 1941, daughter of the late Ann Evoy and Michael O'Meara, Gail worked for Para-Med and was a member of St. Agnes Church.
Loving mother of Ann Murray of London, Shannon Griffith of Stratford, Carrie Dibbley and husband Joe of Cambridge, Mark Skinner and wife Paula of Chatham, Brian Skinner and wife Tina of London and by 2 step-sons; Victor Chepeka of Amherstburg and Dana Chepeka of Peterborough. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Carol O'Meara of Mississauga, Brian O'Meara of Nova Scotia and Patrick O'Meara of Chatham. Adelard Robert Van Praet
A resident of Chatham passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the age of 56 after a long and extremely courageous battle with ALS ( Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Beloved husband of Joanne Elizabeth (Gillier) Van Praet of 35 years. Dear son of the late Joseph and Margariette (Mortier) Van Praet. He was a long time employee of Siemens. Loving father of and sadly missed by Robert and his wife Leashan (McCallum) Van Praet of London, Addie and Chris White of Kent Bridge and Ryan and Mindy (Bowls) Van Praet of Chatham. Grandfather of Grace and Hannah White of Kent Bridge and Tasmin McCallum Van Praet of London. Dear brother to Roger Van Praet and his wife Pat of Las Vegas, Theresa Banks and husband Ken of Chatham, Joseph Van Praet and his wife Sandra of Windsor. Also survived by brother-in-law Allan Croucher of Chatham, and will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by one sister Delores Croucher.

At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Tuesday, November 23, 2004, Casey Tolisz, age 58, of Chatham, beloved husband of Bernadette "Bernie" (Gagner). Born in Germany in 1946, son of the late Vera (Balkowa) and Jan Tolisz, he was a specification interpreter for Navistar, retiring in 1999.
He will be sadly missed by: his children, Denise Robertson, and her husband Derek of Chatham, Nicole Ricci and her husband Al of Belle River; grandchildren Greg, Emma, Grace and Owen; and a sister Irene Huffman of Waterdown.
He is predeceased by 2 brothers-in-law, Bob Huffman (2002) and Bev Vinter (2003).
Casey will be taken from the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham to St. Agnes’ Church where all visiting will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, and where Parish Prayers will be offered 3:00 pm.

Marie Siddall
Suddenly at her residence in Chatham on Thursday, November 25, 2004, Marie Pearl Siddall, age 80, of Chatham-Kent, beloved wife of the late Cecil "Ike" Siddall (1980). Born in Chatham in1923, daughter of the late Mabel Parsonage and Joseph "Mike" Twigg.
Loving and cherished mother of Linda Moon of Chatham. Special aunt to David Twigg of Barrie and Darryl Twigg of Chatham. Also sadly missed by sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by 3 sisters; Bertha Billett, Ruth Greer, Bonnie Watson and by 3 brothers; George, Albert and Arthur Twigg.
