passed away suddenly at the KW Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, December 31st, 2003 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Robert Appell for the past 62 years. Loving mother of Melvin and his wife Marie-Anne Boulain of Hillsburgh, and David and his wife Lisa of St. Albert, Alberta. Proud and loving grandmother of Andrew and Shayla Appell, and great-grandmother of Clay Robert. Marie is also survived by her sisters Violet Barnick of Kelowna, B.C., and Doreen Bradburn of Guelph. She is predeceased by her daughter Diane Appell and by her brother George Winfield.
Marie was born in Guelph on June 2nd, 1923 and after marrying Bob lived on Sheridan Court in Kitchener for 32 years. In 1986, Marie and Bob retired to Port Elgin to fulfill their dream of living on the water. While in Kitchener, Marie was a member of Highland Road Baptist Church and in Port Elgin attended the Port Elgin United Church. Marie held several leadership positions within the community including being a founding member of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, President of the KW Arthritis Society, Jaycettes and the Kiwanis Queens.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Marie's life and faith will be held at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Monday, January 5th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to join the family at the Port Elgin United Church for refreshments and a time to visit.
Following cremation, interment will take place in Memory Gardens cemetery , Breslau.

After spending a wonderful Christmas Day with her family, the former Ruth Martin of Southampton and formerly of Valens, Ontario, passed away at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Thursday, December 25th, 2003, at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife of James Anderson for 49 years. Loved mother of Marion Anderson, Sharon and her husband Gerry Evans, all of Port Elgin, Brett Anderson of Kitchener, and Jeannie and her husband James McCallion of Burns Lake, B.C. She is also survived by her grandchildren Elwin, Noah, and Jason McCallion of B.C., James and Melissa Evans, and A.J. Anderson, all of Port Elgin, her great-grandson Ethan McCallion of B.C., twin brother Reg Martin and his wife Hannah of Sault Ste. Marie, and by her sisters Jean and her husband Rev. Jack Shannon of Niagara Falls, and Fern and her husband Don Moore of Creston, B.C. She is predeceased by her son Scott.

Beloved husband of Marjorie (McCullough) McTeer and the late Irene Mooney (1979). Dear father of Gladys (John) Turnbull of Waterloo, Shirley (Bob) Currie of Paisley, Glen (Rhonda) McTeer of Lucan, Keith (Rhonda) McTeer of Newmarket, and Linda McTeer of Kitchener. Will be sadly missed by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by two sons Wayne McTeer (1994) and Lorne McTeer (1990).

Keith Ferguson of Tobermory and Port Elgin, passed away on Wednesday, February 25th, 2004, in Southampton. Keith fought a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. Keith was 64. Keith leaves behind his devoted wife Catherine, his son Kyle and his wife Julie of Southampton, and his daughter Christine and her husband Ken McBride of Oshawa. Keith is also survived by three grandchildren Michaela, Kasey, and Megan, and three step-grandchildren Sam, Kory, and Kelly. Keith leaves behind his brother Laurie and his wife Connie of Johnston’s Harbour. Keith will be sadly missed by his friends Roger and Pat Nerney.
