Carol Veronica Glarene Hebblethwaite, age 61. Born in London, daughter of the late Pearl and Arthur Hebblethwaite passed away peacefully Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Meadow Park Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sisters, Darlene, Susan, Gail, Margaret, Mollie and Bette. Brothers Brian, David, Ron, Jack and Robert. Also many beloved nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers, Fred, Wayne, James, Mark, and sisters, Marlene and Marilyn.

Lois Zimmer
At Bobier Villa, Dutton, on Friday, December 11, 2009, Lois Zimmer, age 77, of Dutton, and formerly of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Glenn (2000). Born in Chatham in 1932, daughter of the late Ella Rose (Gale) and Walter Alway, she farmed with her husband Glenn in Harwich and was a 50 year + member of the C. W. L. (Harwich). She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Linda Brown (Bob) of B. C., Barbara Arnold (Jim) of Iona Station, Patsy Steacy (Bob) of Grand Bend, Therese Wanklin (Jim) of Hensall, Nancy Murray (Jim) of Kettleby and Edward Zimmer (Annette) of Dover Centre, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a brother David Alway (Brenda) of Sarnia. She is predeceased by a great-granddaughter Kaytlan (1995), a great-grandson Kyler (2003), a sister Shirley Depper and a brother Guy Alway. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 7-9 on Saturday and again on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Parish Prayers will be offered at 6:30 p.m. (Sunday). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s cemetery , Chatham. Alexander Drobko
passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 21, 1919, son of the late Paranka (Tyrebenéc) and Frederick Drobko. Predeceased by his beloved wife Betty Drobko and son Nick.
Dear father of Candy (Dan), Cindy and Jack. Grandfather of Samantha, Krystal and Darcy.
Predeceased by his siblings Stan, Mary, Olga and Natalie. Sister Emily (Winnipeg) and surviving nieces and nephews.
Retired from Chatham Water Commission. He loved all sports, gardening, crossword puzzles and wildlife.
He will be missed by his cats especially Stuart and Martha.
Cremation has taken place with a private family service.

Dear brother of Francis Audette of Chatham, Vince (Shirley) Audette of Tilbury and Jean Quenneville of Chatham. Also survived by his brother-in-law Ken Skipper and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Henry Audette and 2 sisters Marie Bechard, Doreen Skipper, sisters-in-law Jean Audette, Pauline Audette and brothers-in-law Polydore Quenneville and Leonard Bechard.

Born in Chatham in 1949, son of the late Elizabeth Salenbien and George Serruys. Al was retired from Paladdin Security, he also worked for a number of years for King Agro.
Loving father of Bob (Jolene) of Merlin, Shelly (Shawn) Bechard of Pain Court, Colleen (Aaron) Moison of Tilbury and Reneé Caron of Calgary. Cherished grandfather of Bailey, Skylar, Avery, Jaxon, Ella, Addison and Cooper. Dear Brother of Bob (Reneé) Serruys of Chatham. Also sadly missed by a niece Desiree (Marty) vanHoeckel of Waterloo.

Betty Thurston
Peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Tuesday February 14, 2012, Betty Louise Thurston, age 64, of Chatham, beloved wife of Larry Thurston. Born in Chatham in 1947, daughter of the late Velmay Malott and Milton Ousterhout. Betty worked at Chrysler and Shillington and also Murray Peterson Accounting.
She is survived by a daughter Jennifer Smit of Chatham, a son Jeff (Leona) Gales of Sault Ste. Marie, stepchildren; Pamela Thurston, Brian Thurston (Cheao) and James Thurston all of Vancouver and Linda Pecora (Michael) of Golden British Columbia. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dearly missed by 3 sisters Joan (Bud) Watts of Prince George B.C., Valerie Edwards of Chatham and Cindy (Richard) Bonell of Edmonton. Predeceased by brother-in-law Richard Edwards and a son-in-law Adrian Smit (2011).
As was her request, there will be no funeral home visitation or service at this time. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. The Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) is in charge of arrangements.

Anna Maria Ciaciek
Anna Maria Ciaciek, born in Heerenveen Friesland 1929, nee de Lange, died peacefully at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance on Monday April 30, 2012 in her 84th year.
Survived by her most beloved son William Francis Ciaciek and by her daughter Alicia Ciaciek (Oakley) of London, she is also missed by a grandson W.J. Ryan Ciaciek (Sarah Gregory) and his father Randy Fournier of London. Also dearly missed and loved by her only surviving sister Ria Thomas of Leamington and many nieces and nephews. Anna Maria is predeceased by her husband of 55 years Lawrence Wawrzyniec Ciaciek (2006), her father Foppe de Lange, mother Aaltje Haantjes and ten other siblings all of The Netherlands.
We as a family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and other caregivers at the ICU and Surgery Floors of the CKHA for the excellent and compassionate care our mother received during her illness.
There will be a brief visitation at 11am on Saturday May 5th at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William S., Chatham (519) 352-5120, followed by funeral prayers at 11:30am, officiated by Father Stan Kuczaik. Private burial service will take place at St. Anthony’s cemetery at a later date. A memorial mass to honor the life of Anna Maria will also be held at a later date at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Chatham.

Clara Mardling
Peacefully, at the family farm in Harwich, on Thursday, May 10, 2012, Clara Theresa Mardling, age 91, of Chatham-Kent, beloved wife of the late Milton Mardling (2008). Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Elizabeth Pfeifer and Joseph Gillier. Clara was a former resident of the Chatham Retirement Resort, a retired school teacher and an employee of the Bank of Montreal.
Loving mother of Murray Mardling and Rita Greco of Chatham. Cherished grandma of Rebecca and Elishea. Clara is also survived by her brother in law Stan Mardling and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother John Gillier (wife Irene), her sisters, Leonia Gillier, Angela Masterson (husband Chris), and Ursula Masterson (husband Harold).
Clara appreciated country life and her community, was an avid card player, and a fan of the Blue Jays. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Elfryda Walczak
At Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, Elfryda Walczak, age 88, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Joseph Walczak (1993). Born in Poland, daughter of the late John and Frances Bieniek, Elfryda came to Canada in 1966.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Leah) Walczak of Waterloo, Susan (Jim) Cummings of Chatham, Wayne (Dory) Walczak of Virginia, and Wanda (Jerry) Lozon of Chatham, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Hildegarda Gojowska in Poland and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister, Magdalena Zmarzty, and her brother Hubert Bieniek.
Elfryda was a long time member of the Polish Canadian Club and Our Lady of Victory Church.
