It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, Poppy, and friend, on Saturday, April 15, and since he lived his entire life for his family, it is only fitting that his loved ones were with him, holding his hand on his last days. He is remembered as a tender, thoughtful, generous, and good-humoured man who made eternal friends with everyone he met and touched the heart of anyone who knew him well. He was loyal, reliable and steadfast, and he treasured his times with his friends. He couldn’t dance or sing well, but he sure could play ball hockey! He will be sadly missed by the Scouting community; Scouter John was Akela, treasurer and vital member of the 1st Holly Cub Pack. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys & Habs fan and connoisseur of international brews, Mr. Harmony, founding member and treasurer of the ‘Guider Husband League’ (GHL) will be missed at their annual attempts at fishing and golfing.
