ROBINSON, Alma Lois Caroline

After a determined and valiant fight with cancer, Lois passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Royal Victoria Hospital on February 16, 2004. The loved and loving wife of Lyall who predeceased her in 1995, Lois was the daughter of Gartland and Mildred Fee (Hurst); daughter-in-law of Evelyn and Ross Robinson; ever loving mom to Grant (Jane/ Colin, Scott) of Barrie; Barry (Christine/ Sarah, Philip, Michelle, Alex) of Kitchener; Carolyn (Chris/ Claire, Jonathan) of Aukland, N.Z.; sister of Lucille Florshutz (Steve) and Dorothy Looker (Fred). Lois grew up in the Beaver Valley, attended high school in Thornbury, married Lyall in 1961 and moved to Owen Sound. In 1967, Lyall’s Ontario Hydro career took the family to Bracebridge, then to Barrie in 1981. Lois was a valued and committed member of St. Giles Anglican Church in Barrie. Lois was a model of courage and faith in living with her illness. She maintained her joy for life and involvement with people, touching hearts on a daily basis. She will be dearly missed. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (Clapperton and Worsley Streets) Barrie on Friday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 1 p.m. at St. Giles Anglican Church, 95 Cook St., Barrie. Memorial donations to Multiple Myeloma Research Fund c/o Dr. Keith Stewart - Princess Margaret Foundation will be appreciated by the family.

McCURDY, Wilfred Ross (Bill)

[Proud member of the A.N.A.F. Unit 365, Barrie. Founder of the Barrie and District Pipes and Drums.] Peacefully at Roberta Place, Barrie, on Saturday, February 21st, 2004. Beloved husband of the late Verna. Proudly remembered by his sons Jan and his partner Janice Wylie, and Allan and his wife Diane. Dear grandfather of Shannon and Darren Stevens, Derek and Jennie McCurdy, Megan and Luke Bazuk, Patrick McCurdy and his fiancée Katrina, and Scott McCurdy. Great-grandfather of Quinn Bazuk. Stepfather of Dan Thompson of Barrie, Roy Thompson of Cobourg, Leona Wilson of Toronto, Doug Thompson of Orangeville, Ruth McGary of Oro Station, Paul Thompson of Midland and the late Hugh Thompson of Orillia. Loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Edna Neun of Toronto and the late Clifford Boyd of Kahshe Lake. Barbara Steeves (nee Baxter) of North York, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of 34 years to Ronald Steeves. Survived by niece Crystal Himmelman and her son Ian of Barrie. Barbara will also be remembered by many friends of North York. Barbara relocated from England to Canada in 1956. JORDAN, Francis James "Frank" James

Completed his life journey peacefully, with his daughter beside him, July 29, 2004, soon after his 96th Birthday, June13 (1908). Frank enjoyed a bright, active life until his last weeks. Dear wife Winnifred (Winnie) Buckby predeceased him in 1977. Loved by daughters and husbands; Evelyn and Bob Thomas, Rita Hamblin, Audrey and Gerry Fawcett, Diane and Ron Suwala, 7 fine grandchildren and many great/grandchildren. Cremation held; Memorial Service in Barrie.

RALPH, William Gerald (Gramps)

passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 8th, 2004, in his 66th year. Loving father of Tracy Cooper and her husband Robin of Sault Ste. Marie, and Andrew Ralph and his wife Kathie of Barrie. Cherished Gramps of Grayson and Carson. Dear brother of Bucky Ralph and his late wife Betty, and Betty Bojko and her husband Nick, all of Sault Ste. Marie. Sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, Kristy, Natalie, Maria, Crissy, Niki, Alex, Corey, Michael, Jamie, Leah, and four great-grandchildren Kayden, Blaise, Jesse, and Sarah. Survived by brothers George, Tony (Dina), and sister Voula Vassos (Danny). He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Nick, Bill, sisters Olga and Maria Chaltas (mother of Peter, Tessie, and the late Nick). Will always be loved by Auntie Sharon & Uncle John Thompson and cousins Debra Hamelin (Jack), Sandra Coburn, Johnna Thompson (Jeff Frost), and Julie MacDonald (Bruce) all of Ottawa, dear friend Rupert Bronsdon (Eha) of Collingwood. Predeceased by 6 brothers in Concentration Camps of World Was II and brother Alex Stoletny in January 2002 at Roberta Place, Barrie.
