at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, on Friday, September 19, 2003. Mrs. May DeYoung, of Haliburton and formerly of St. Catharines, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Jim DeYoung of Haliburton. Loving mother of Marilyn Michelin of St. Catharines, Jim DeYoung and his wife Joan of Fenwick, Wayne DeYoung and his wife Sandra of Niagara Falls, Doug DeYoung and his wife Ruth of Cambridge and Cathee Crinklaw and her husband John of London. Also loved by her grandchildren Bill and wife Linda, Lisa and Matthew, Craig and wife Heather, Jennifer and friend Steve, Blair and friend Chris, Erin, Julee, Jamie, Taylor and her great-grandchildren David and Daniel, Brooke and Braden, and Jordan. Dear sister of Harriet Franks and predeceased by her brother Albert Waldron and sister Nettie Obee. Dear sister-in-law of Joe Obee of Calgary. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 pm. Mr Robert Arthur Jenkins

at the Welland County General Hospital, on Thursday, July 10th, 2003 in his 83rd year. Husband of Norma Jenkins. Dear father of Roger Jenkins (Joyce) of St. Catharines, Tom Jenkins (JoAnne) of Welland, Jennifer Lane (Stanley) of Belleville, Jeff Jenkins (Nathalie) of Fergus and the late Peter Jenkins. Dear brother Harry Jenkins of Welland, Helen Oatway of Fonthill and the late Fred Jenkins. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Also loved by his 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr Haydn William Phillips

on Saturday, June 7th 2003, Mr. Hayden W. Phillips of Fonthill, in his 91st year. Beloved father of Mac Phillips and his wife Jeanette of St. Catharines. Predeceased by his wife Minnie (1997) and by his grandson Ben (1981). Survived by his 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Haydn was a veteran of World War ll serving in North Africa and Egypt. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 pm. Tuesday, June 10th 2003, at the JAMES L. Mr Albert William Harris

At Welland County General Hospital, with his family by his side, on Wednesday June 25, 2003, Albert William Harris in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Mae Harris and loving father of Linda Harris and Bill Harris and his wife Maggie Johnston. Also loved by his grandsons Brad and Chad Chaloner. He is survived by his sister Ivy Gidney and brother Bob Harris and many nieces and nephews. At Abert's request cremation has taken place. Mr Lucien Bilodeau

passed away peacefully at his home in Fonthill, on Tuesday, July 1st 2003, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Laureanne. Loving father of Andre Verreault and his wife Claudette. Grandfather of Linda Verreault, Denis and Sylvia Verreault of Montreal, Mona and Lyle Kazakoff of Vancouver and Rena Verreault of Welland. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Gilles and Barbara Bilodeau, Gisele and Gabriel Tisi, Jean Paul and Diane Bilodeau, Denis and Anita Bilodeau, Ghislain and Viviane Bilodeau and their children all of Welland. Funeral service will take place Saturday, July 5th 2003 at 2:00 pm. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1369 Rice Road in Pelham. At Linhaven Nursing Home St. Catharines, on Friday July 4, 2003, Mary Elizabeth Disher in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Merrelle Everet Disher (1989). Loving mother of Mary Lillian Cyopeck and her husband Bill and Jim Disher and his wife Cecile all of Welland. Dear sister of Anne McGill (Wilfred) of Fenwick, Winnifred Weller (Norm) of Ridgeville, Linda Rutledge (Alan) of Welland, Jim Spalding (Eileen) of Dryden, Lloyd George (Ivy) and Ted Manns (Nancy) all of Fenwick. She will be missed by her grandchildren Shirley Nadeau (Bob), Katherine Martin (David) all of Welland, Jeff Cyopeck of South River, Tom Cyopeck, Jim Cyopeck and Mary Jane Cyopeck all of Welland and her 7 great-grandchildren. Mr John Albert Noble

Quietly passed away at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia in his 90th year on July 8, 2003. Predeceased by his beloved wife Claudia (1999), Jack had a long and distinguished career in education. He was an avid golfer, lay reader in the Anglican Church and a long time member of the Masonic Order. He will be sadly missed by his children, Arlene and Wayne and his grandchildren, Daniel and Madeleine. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday, July 9th at the JAMES L. Mr Allistair A. Cameron

Suddenly in Oakville on Monday July 7, 2003, Allistair Cameron of Fonthill in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Evelyn Cameron and loving father of Alison Cameron of Cleveland, Ohio and Reverend Colin Cameron and his wife Elayne of St. Catharines. Predeceased by his infant daughter Susan (1968). Also loved by his grandchildren Benjamin and Anna. Dear brother-in-law of Betty Monteith of St. Catharines. Dear brother of Eric, Ian, Len, Stewart, Irene and the late Kenneth and their families all of Scotland. Al was an avid golfer, past president of the Welland Soccer Club, past president and active member of the Fenwick Lions Club and retired in 1996 from General Motors. Robert Wilson Shedden

At Albright Manor, Beamsville, on Monday, August 5, 2002, Robert Shedden in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (McCallum) Shedden and loving father of Catherine and her husband Earl Stencil of Pembroke, Lewis and his wife Jackie of Wainfleet, Wilson and his wife Jane of Stoney Creek, Mary and her husband John Patterson of Wainfleet, Callum and his wife Faye of Wainfleet and Scott and his wife Akiko of Fenwick. He will be fondly remembered by his 17 grandchildren and 5 great granchildren. Dear brother of Lewis and his wife Jean of St. Ann's, John and his wife Grace of St. Catharines and Jenny Gilchrist of Scotland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers William and James and sisters Jeannie Adams and Mary Crighton. Mr. Shedden served in the Royal Navy from 1939 to 1945 as a Leading Seaman. Beloved wife of the late John McLaughlin (1990) and loving mother of Terry McLaughlin and his wife Fran of Burlington and Elsie Bell and her husband Ed of Fonthill. Also loved by her three grandchildren Russell and wife Peggy, Karen and husband Terry, Jill and husband Cliff and her great-grandchildren Shannon and Jenni. Predeceased by her great-grandson Terry Weller. Mrs. Kathleen Anne "Kay" Varden formerly of Welland and Port Colborne, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late William Robert Varden (2000). Loving mother of Bob Varden and his wife Marion of Port Colborne, Sally Poliquin and her husband J.P. of Hamilton, Yvonne Cox and her husband Ryan of Tillsonburg and Mac Varden and his wife Trina of Midland. Also loved by her grandchildren Christine and Bob, Jim and Tammy, Lisa, T.J., John, Heather and Bill, Tracy, Chauntel, Melissa, Zack, Kayla and her great-grandchildren Jordan, Jesse, Dylan, Brayden, Joshua, MacKenzie, Emily, Michael, Shyla and Liam. Delbert Floyd Scott

At the Welland County General Hospital on Monday, August 5, 2002, Delbert Scott of Fonthill in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Vivan (McBay) Scott and loving father of Valerie and her husband Pat Maclou of Calgary, Alberta. He will be sadly missed by his grandaughter Sarah Brochu of Welland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter Debra (1999), son-in-law Ray (1999), brothers Eldon and Robert Scott and sister Hilda Demers. Delbert retired from General Motors after 30 years. He was a Flight Sergent in the R.C.A.F. from 1943 to 1945. The family will receive friends at the JAMES L. Mrs. Agnes "Hamilton" McCabe

Safe in the arms of Jesus, suddenly on Thursday May 29, 2003 Agnes (Hamilton) McCabe, of Welland, in her 82 year. Beloved wife of the late James S. McCabe (March 2001) and loving mother of Helen and her husband Bob Baddeley of Fonthill; Linda McCabe of Welland; Jim McCabe of Welland; Stephen and his wife Anne McCabe of Newmarket and Dan and his wife Michelle McCabe of Port Perry. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Marsha and James Baddeley; Richard and Philip Howard; Joshua, Stephanie and Rachel McCabe and predeceased by her grandson Matthew Baddeley. Mr Thomas John McGuinness

Surrounded by the love of his family, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on June 2, 2003 at the Welland General Hospital, at the age of 71. Tom was the beloved husband of Olga, loving and proud father of Dan and his wife Elizabeth, Anne and her husband Bob Kerr and Cathy and her husband Alan Terreberry. He was the adoring and much loved Pa of his four "flowers", granddaughters Lisa and Emily Terreberry, and Maggie and Sarah Kerr. Survived by his brother James and his wife Letitia of Florida, sister Anne Cairns of Scotland, and Peter and his wife Mary-Lois of Keswick, Ontario. Loving uncle to Anne Cairns (Cuzzie) of Niagara-on-the-Lake and his many nieces and nephews on both sides of the ocean. Tom was the co-ordinator of the Survey program at Niagara College from 1968 until 1990, and retired from the College in 1993. He will be sadly missed by his many friends, young and old. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME - DIXON CHAPEL, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill, on Tuesday June 3, 2003 from 6-9 pm. and from 10 am Wednesday June 4, 2003 until service time in the chapel at 11:00 am. with The Reverend Canon David Browning of Holy Trinity Anglican Church officiating. If desired, donations may be made in Tom's memory to the Welland Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care or 6th Floor, or to a charity of your choice.

Baby Emmett Haymes-Duncan

Precious son of Rachel Haymes and Stacey Duncan. So beautiful, we love him with all of our hearts, he's our darling little angel. Deeply loved grandson of Wendy and Mark Wikston of St. Catharines, Ann and Bruce Duncan of Wainfleet and Helen and Ronnie Haymes of Wainfleet. Beloved great-grandson to Margaret Sibbett of Fonthill and Dora Haymes of Welland. Eagerly anticipated and loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Little Emmett was lost to us forever, because of unforseeable complications at birth on June 4th 2003, at 7:25pm, at the Welland County General Hospital. Although we cannot hold you in our arms, little Emmett, you will be forever held deep within our hearts. We will miss you, always. A private funeral service to be held at the Fonthill cemetery.
