KIDD - Alexander
Suddenly at home on Sunday October 27, 2002 in his 76th year. Dear husband of Mary (nee Duncan). Loving father of Stuart (wife Laurie) of North Bay, Lorraine MacLachlan (husband Ian) of Owen Sound, Kathleen Blunn (husband Walter) of Guelph and Larry (Crystal Butler) of Borden. Sadly missed by grandchildren Trevor, Aaron, Tyler, Moira, Faye, Mathew and Andrew and by great grandchild Heather. Survived by his sisters Jesse Rooney of Edmonton and Nellie Farrow of Belleville and by nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place at the Forest Lawn Crematorium. A private family service will be held.

If desired donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Hutchings (nee Frost) - Rose
Peacefully on Thursday October 24, 2002 at Nipissing Manor Nusing Home. Rose, beloved wife of the late Albert Hutchings, in her 89th year. Loving mother of Gordon Frost (wife Simone), Barbara Hunt (husband Dennis), and Bill Frost. Dear grandmother of 9, and great-grandmother of 13. Predeceased by her daughter Joyce Wray and son-in-law Jack Wray. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home today from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow with interment at St. Bernadette's cemetery , Bonfield.

A donation to the Alzheimer's Society would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

MacAULAY - Murray Wilson
At the North Bay General Hospital, North Bay, Ontario on Monday November 4, 2002, at the age of 88 years. Murray Wilson MacAulay was the beloved husband of the late Ellen Isabel "Nellie" Smith, who predeceased him in 1995. Proud and loving father of Isabel Nelson (Bud), of Wawa, Douglas (Chris) of Lennoxville, Quebec, and Lynn Pearce (Gord) of Sudbury. Murray will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lori, Joni, Julie, Jessica, Jennifer, Ben, Cara, Amy and Andrew his great granddaughters Meaghan, Madison and Ellen and his great grandson Benjamin. Predeceased by is sister Mildred Hoaglund. Born in Florence, Nova Scotia Murray left the Maritimes while in his late teenage years. He & Nellie settled in Virginiatown, Ontario were Murray worked for the Kerr-Addison Mine. He retired in 1979 as mine Superintendent and in 1983 they moved to North Bay. At his request cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time for a memorial service in the chapel at 11:00a.m. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception centre. Interment of ashes will follow in Forest Lawn cemetery

Dobbie - Henry Edwin 'Hank'
At Leisure World Care Giving Centre on Thursday December 27, 2001. At Hank's request there will be no visiting or service. Cremation with burial of ashes in Georgetown.

HANNAH - Lulu (Lou) Jane
Born March 10, 1913 in Listowel, Ontario. passed away peacefully November 11, 2002 at North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site, with her grandchildren by her side. Hannah, beloved wife of the late Percy Hannah, in her 90th year. Dear mother of Gary Kregar. She is survived by her 4 grandchildren Gary Kregar (Cathy), Cindy Grant (Brad), Terri-Lynn Wick (Charlie), and Michael Kregar (Terry-Lynn Russell). Also survived by her 5 great-grandchildren Travis, Garrett, Colin, Taylor and Kaitlin. Private family service.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer's Society, or the Diabetes Association would be gratefully appreciated.

Died in his 104th year at the North Bay General Hospital, Mclaren Site on Monday November 18, 2002. Dear husband of Amelia. Loving father of Donald of Temagami and George of Brampton. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday from 1-2 pm. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 pm. Interment will take place at a later date at the North Bay Union cemetery.

SMITH (nee Fricker) - Mabel (Mae)
"To all who knew and loved her" passed away at North Bay General Hospital Scollard Site Monday November 25, 2002 in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Bob, loving mother of Joanne Lefebvre (Arthur) and Robert (Anna-Lisa). She will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren Paul, Mae-Lynn, Sarah and Matthew Lefebvre, Amanda, Robert and Emily Smith and one great grandchild Damian Battle. She is also survived by three brothers Maurice (Ann deceased), William (Noni) and Fred (Cora), one sister Dorothy Avery (Bill deceased) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Pearl, brothers Edward (Mary), David (Rachel) and sisters Pearl, Thelma and Violet Nichols (Robert). Mae was a dedicated and active member of the Laurentian Wesleyan Church. She loved and adored spending time with her family and grandchildren, and in summer spending time at the cottage and helping Bob tend to their garden. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. In keeping with her wishes cremation will be carried out on Wednesday with no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Mae's life will be held on Saturday November 30th 2002 at the Laurentian Wesleyan Church, 529 McKay Ave. North Bay at 2pm, luncheon to follow.

As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Laurentian Wesleyan Church.

Peacefully at home on Wednesday December 5, 2001. Dear wife of Tom. Loving mother of Ron (Arlene) of Vancouver and Darlene McLeod (Larry) of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Laura Jane Dool, Curtis Dool, Melynda McLeod, Elijah McLeod and William McLeod and by great grandchildren Malakhy and Leda Shabogesic. Predeceased by her parents Jane and John Foster, brothers John, Jim and Albert and sisters Bernice, Annie, Agnes, Gladys, Marion and Lillian. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted at St. Brice's Anglican church on Saturday at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at St. John's Anglican cemetery.

BEAMISH - Sybil Mae
Died at Leisureworld Care Giving Centre, on Saturday, November 30, 2002. Sybil Mae Smith was the beloved wife of the late Sheldon Beamish. Loving mother of Don (Diane), Tom (Julie), Linda Moran (Paul), Sybil Osborn (Richard ), Wendy Tessier (Denis), Dawn Dewsbury (Bert) and Brian. Much loved grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Dearly loved aunt of Donna, Doreen and Beverly. Predeceased by her brother Allan Smith. Sybil will be sadly missed by her many friends throughout the North. A Memorial service will be held at St.Brice's Anglican Church, North Bay, on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 3:00 P.M.

DUFFY - Margaret Flora "Flo”
Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday December 1st, 2002, while in her 93rd year. Margaret Flora "Flo” McLeod was the beloved wife of the late Howard Duffy. Dearly loved mother of Ronald and his wife Eveline of London, and Nancy of Toronto she was predeceased by her son Michael in 1997. Also survived by her sisters Mary and Lorna of North Bay. As well as her husband and son her brothers Donald and Kenneth, and sister Winnifred also predeceased her. Flo will be lovingly remembered by her several grandchildren who live throughout Canada. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place with a memorial service to be held at a later date. .

Died suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital -Scollard Site, on Thurday, December 5, 2002. Fred Deehan, beloved partner of Susan King, he was 56 years old. Dearly loved father of Jamie and Jessica Seville of Bear Island. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Courtney and Madison Seville. Fred was the dear brother of Maureen. Visiting in the Martyn Funeral Home this evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 7th, at 11:00 am. Cremation.

WHITE - Ada Merle
Died peacefully at Cassellholme, on Thursday, December 05, 2002. Ada Merle White, beloved daughter of the late James & Margaret White, in her 91st year. Loving twin sister of Hattie of North Bay. Predeceased by her sisters May, Beryle, Edith, Myrtle, and her brother Dick and by her nephew Harold Norman. She will fondly be remembered by her nieces and nephews Carmen Norman, Audrey Johnson, Shirley Larson, Mark Guppy, Ted Guppy, Wayne Van Hinte and by her many grand nieces and nephews. Ada's family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7th, from 1:00 PM until time for Funeral Services in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment at the Union cemetery in Sturgeon Falls.

RACICOT (Tench) (nee Daly) - Heather Dawn
At Cassellholme in the early hours of Thursday, December 5, 2002. Heather Dawn Daly, was the beloved wife of the late Gary Racicot, in her 63rd. Dearly loved mother of David Tench, Randy Tench (Laurie), and Kerri Daniel (Donovan). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Amanda Tench, and Devin and Kerri Daniel. Dear sister of Millicent Lamabe (husband-John-deceased), Murza VanDusen (Bruce) and Leslie Daly (Shirley). Predeceased by her parents Stuart and Olga Daly and brothers Garth Daly (wife-Terry-surviving) and Michael Daly. Visitation at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, December 6th, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Temple 271 Ski Club Road, North Bay, on Saturday December 7th, at 11:00 am, with visitation prior at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment at Forest Lawn cemetery.

MITCHELL - John Davidson
Died at Cassellholme, on Monday, December 09, 2002. John Davidson Mitchell, was the beloved husband of Shirley Martina Leonard, in his 82nd year. Loving father of Linda Michaud and her husband Jean-Paul and Allan Mitchell both of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren. Dearly loved brother of George. John served overseas with the 1st Hussars Armored Corp, during World War 11. He was a member of the Sons of Scotland, the Royal Canadian Legion #599 (West Ferris), the 1St Hussars Association (London) a life member of both the Kilwinning Masonic Lodge (Toronto) and the St.John's Chapter (North Bay). At John's Request there will no visitation or funeral. Cremation in North Bay with interment of ashes at Westminster cemetery , Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by John's family.
