Patricia Charlotte Thompson
1925 - 2002

Entered into rest at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital on May 29,2002 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Jack Thompson. Dear mother of David (Molly) of Brockville, John (Kathleen) of Manitoba, Robert of Kingston and Sandra Sicard (Wayne) of Lyn. Sady missed by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dear sister of George and Frank Jr. Sinfield and Winnie Cross. Predeceased by a brother Arthur Sinfield.

Family and friends may call at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East Brockville on Friday, May 31st after 3 pm until 4 pm. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held in the chapel Friday at 4pm commencing with the Legion Tribute. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In memoriums to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care Unit will be gratefully acknowledged. Officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 96 will hold a memorial service on Friday at 4 o'clock.

Warren Earl Loomis
1921 - 2002

At the Brockville General Hospital on August 25, 2002. Warren Earl Loomis in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Rita Finley Loomis. Dear father of Christopher Loomis (Valerie) of St. John's, Newfoundland, Ann Goody (Steve) of Bridgenorth and James Loomis (Jane) of Brockville. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Timothy, Emily, Peter, Erin, Michael, Matthew, Justin and Jessica. Also survived by four nieces. Predeceased by a brother Byrne Loomis and by a sister Kathleen Broad.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Tuesday, August 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Warren's life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 28th at 11 am. Interment will follow at Oakland cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Sherwood Park Manor will be gratefully acknowledged.

Russell Aubrey Earl Silk
Professional Engineer, Toronto, (Me, Ae & Ind)
M.B.A., Western

In his 80th year, completed his life’s journey on Saturday, August 24, 2002. Loving husband of Shirley Mae Silk (Rossen) of Brockville, Ontario. Dear father of Bradley John of Milton, Ontario, Randall Allan and fiancé Mary of Montreal, Quebec, Scott Garfield and his wife Marguerite of Brockville. Dearly loved grandfather of Brennan, Jaime, Mitchell, Savannah, Kayleigh, Jessica, Courtney and Graham. Predeceased by his beloved daughter Karen Elizabeth, his parents Richard Allan and Olive Silk, and his dear aunt Orma Leigh.

Family and friends are invited to share in a Christian celebration of Russell’s life on Thursday, August 29, 2002 at 2 pm in Wall Street United Church, Brockville, Ontario with Rev. Dr. Alan Bennett officiating.

A reception will follow at the Brockville Country Club from 3 to 5 pm.

Memorial Donations to the Wall Street United Church would be gratefully acknowledged.

Robert MacLellan
1922 - 2002
(B. Eng., B. Comm.)

Born May 23, 1922 (St. John's, NFLD) to Elizabeth Whitten MacLellan and Neil MacLellan (M.B.E.), passed from this earth on August 27, 2002 in Brockville, Ont. May he finally be at peace after gallantly fighting lung disease for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie "Timmy" Clementine Laverdiere, his children Monica Lee, Heather Jane, Elizabeth Anne, Robert Angus Neil and Susan Alexandra "Sandy" and their spouses, his grandchildren Tracey, Christopher, Brian-Lee, Marie, Kevin, Jason and Victoria and one great grandchild Leanna Marie. Bob is also survived by his brother Neil, his sister Margaret and their families.

A memorial ceremony will be held at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland (north on Maitland Rd, exit 705 off Hwy. 401) on Thursday, August 29th, 2002 at 1 pm followed by reception. Donation to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation or the Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Amber Lynn (Bowerman) Francis
1974 - 2002

At the Toronto Western Hospital on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 in her 28th year. Beloved wife of David Francis and loving mother to baby daughter Amber Jane of Toronto born March 15, 2002. Dear daughter of Terry Bowerman and his wife Cheryl of Brockville and Cheryl Casselman and her husband Bill of Brockville. Dear sister of Nita Bowerman of Vancouver, Terry Bowerman of Belleville and William and Lindsay Buell of Brockville. Loving granddaughter of Madeline Bowerman and George and Eleanor Alkerton all of Brockville. Daughter-in-law of Roger and Jane Morrell of Kelowna and Brian and Sharon Francis of Ottawa. Sister-in-law of Michael and Lesley Francis of Chesterville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville, on Friday, March 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Saturday from 12: 00 until 1:30 p.m. Ceremony in Celebration of Amber's Life will be held at the Centennial Road Standard Church, R.R. #2 Brockville on Saturday, March 23rd at 2 o'clock. Cremation to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Neurosurgical Research C/O the Toronto Western Hospital I.C.U. or to Amber Jane's Trust Fund (TD Bank # 6204340 Branch 0540) will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Dorothy Ferry
1913 - 2002

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of their mother Dorothy Ferry on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Len Ferry. Loving mother of Jackie Machin and her husband John of Kingston, Gillian Hodge and her husband Barry and Susan Malanka and her husband David all of Brockville. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Scott and Christine Machin of Kingston, Andrew Malanka of Windsor and Yvonne Malanka of Brockville and by several nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Joan Bishop and Jock Gudgin both of England. Mrs Ferry was predeceased by brothers Charles, Sid and John Gudgin and by one sister Ellen Jarman.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 from 1 until 2:45 pm when a celebration of Dorothy's life will be held in the chapel at 3 o'clock. A gathering will follow in the funeral home reception centre. In memoriams to the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care Unit will be gratefully acknowledged.

Ray Smith
1934 - 2002

At St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on August 31, 2002; Harry Ray Smith of Maitland at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of Beatrice Irene (Fox) Smith of Maitland. Dear father of George Smith (Sandra) of Spencerville, John Smith of Maitland, Dale Smith (Dianne) of R.R. 2 North Augusta, and Penny Smith at home. Sadly missed by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Brother of Earl Smith (Grace), June Caron (Stan) all of Kingston, and Noreen St. John (Bruce) of Cardinal. Predeceased by his parents, George and Dorothy Smith, brothers Bill and Reg and by one sister Jean Brady.

A celebration of Ray's life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, September 4th at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at St. James cemetery Maitland. In memoriams to the Cancer Society, Hospice of Providence Palliative Care, or St. James cemetery Memorial Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.

Harold John Pounden
1914 - 2002

On Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Brockville General Hospital, Harold Pounden formerly of Montreal, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Scragg) Pounden of Brockville. Also survived by his sister Jean Cameron of St. Laurent, P.Q., sister-in-law Edith Street of Montreal, and nephew Kenneth Street of Toronto.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville. Following cremation at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland, interment will take place at the Montreal Memorial Park. In remembrance, donations to the Humane Society, the Salvation Army or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

Mabel L. McIntyre
1909 - 2002

At St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville, Ontario on September 1st, 2002; Mabel Louise Reid, formerly of Huntingdon, Quebec, in her 93rd year. Wife of the late William McIntyre. Dear mother of Gordon (Esther) of Brockville, and the late Mildred (Dwaine) Rolfe. Survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Ernest George Reid.

Funeral service Thursday, September 5th in the Chapel at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium, Maitland, with interment in Huntingdon at a later date.
