Sadly missed by two grandchildren Kim Lamer (Gary) and Duane Campbell (Tracy), and three great grandchildren Kyle and Rachel Campbell and Brandon Lamer. Dear sister of Eleanor Alkerton (George), and Gerald Elliott all of Brockville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Rick McCombie, brothers Robert, Ronald, Harry and Harold Elliott, sister Violet Stewart, a sister-in-law Georgette Elliott, and by a brother-in-law Hugh Stewart.

On Saturday, August 9, 2003 at the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville, at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Leslie I. Houston of Brockville. Loving mother of Brian of Hong Kong and David of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Alex and Emily. Also survived by her brother Doug Wilkinson of England and by six nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Margaret of England. A native of Angmering, Sussex, England, Mrs. Houston served during World War II with the WRNS at HMS Excellent. She and her husband, of the Canadian Army, married in Farnham. England in 1943. In 1946 the couple established their home in Montreal where they lived until retiring to Brockville in 1985.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, with cremation to take place at the Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Peacefully at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on Friday, August 15, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Sadly missed by the love of his life Aurea May (Honey) Widzinski. Loving father of Anna Hone (Michael) of Ottawa, Georgina Widzinski of Vancouver, Ian Widzinski (Laurie) of Athens, and Susanna Greene (Bill) of Sewickley, PA. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Michael Hone (Kim), Chris Hone (Rhonda), Stephen Hone (Christine), Eric, Natasha and Rachel Widzinski, Gordon, Kristina, Alexander and Robert-Ian Greene; and by great grandchildren Cody, Sophie, Kyle and Anthony. The family of Herb Metcalfe announces with sadness his death early in the morning of July 29, 2003 at the Palliative Care unit of the
St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville.
Herb was born in Aylmer, Quebec, the youngest son to Herb and Lucy Metcalfe in 1922. Returning to Aylmer after his medical training, he and Shirley raised a family and enjoyed many good friendships there. Herb's years in medical practice in Ottawa brought him many more friendships. He loved traveling, which introduced him to more life-long friends from around the world. Shirley and Herb retired to Brockville twenty years ago.
Herb is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley (née Fletcher) and their three children, Cameron (Karen Lowther), Peter (Kathy Woods), and Sarah (Ken Stasiak). Loved Granddad to Kris Metcalfe, Stefan Stasiak,
and Drew and Graham Metcalfe.
