Ferguson, Robert Lorne 1952-2008

Lorne was born in Hamilton, Ontario and spent his life in the transportation industry and became the proud owner of a successful trucking company, Mount Hope Transport Inc. Suddenly at home on Wednesday December 31, 2008 with his loving wife at his side Lorne left us. He is the son of the late Robert Lorne “Fergy” and Betty Ferguson. Loving husband of Brenda. Cherished father of Becky, Robert (Sandra), and Melissa (Neil). Beloved papa of Laysea, Bailey, Cody, Jessie and Morgan. Adored son-in-law of Betty and the late Dave MacDougall. Brother-in-law of the late Dan MacDougall, David MacDougall (Jane), Brian MacDougall, and Elizabeth Jones. Treasured nephew of Lyn and Myrna. Favorite Uncle Lorne to many nieces and nephews. Greatly loved by too many friends to mention. Lorne’s humourous approach to life and its many curves would warm the hearts of anyone in his presence, with his humourous antics, his heartfelt advice and his “Me Too’s,” he has surly left a lasting impression. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa) HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday January 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Paul’s Anglican Church cemetery , Mount Hope.

Field, Joyce Marie 1928-2010

FIELD, Joyce It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Field announces her peaceful passing on October 5, 2010 in her 82nd year. She will be fondly missed by her husband Bill, her children Linda Tiley, Glen (Sharon), Jennifer Kubilis (Paul), Martin (Josee), Andrew (Dawn), and her seven grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sisters Evelyn, Ethel, and Verna. Joyce was an avid skier and a member of Holimont Ski Club for many years. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at the same address on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hampton Terrace Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton.

Figliola, Norman Emanuel 1932-2008

Peacefully into the arms of God on February 25, 2008, in his 77th year. Best friend, companion and husband of Beverley for 52 years. Proud father of Mike (Lorraine), Steve (Sue) and Lori Nero (John). Treasured grandpa to Rory, Alix, Dane, Kyran, Megan, Sydney and Matthew. Survived by sister Mary and brothers Gus and Joe (Margaret). Predeceased by his mother and father, Calogera (Carrie) and Salvatore (Sam). A longtime resident of Burlington, retiring in 1989 after 30 years with International Harvester. A very special thanks to Dr. Flett; nurses Gayle, Christine, Maria and Betty; health care aides Bev, Paula, Pearl; and all the staff of St. Joseph’s Villa - Pinegrove . A kind and gentle man whose great love and wisdom remains in the legacy of his children and grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held from St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10 a.m. with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place at Bayview Crematorium, Burlington. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas.

Fiorino, Mario 1926-2010

FIORINO, Mario

Peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Giuseppina who has tirelessly and faithfully devoted her unconditional love, care and support to Mario through his lengthy illness. Loving father of Mirella Silva and her husband Carlos, Lidia Cimicata and her husband Joe and Rosalie O’Keefe and her husband Cory. Will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lucas, Jacob and Mariah Silva and Jordana and John Michael Cimicata. Survived by his sister Emilia Fiorino in Consenza, Italy, his brother-in-law Emilio Cucullo (Ida) and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by his 11 brothers and sisters. Also surviving are Mario’s many family members in Italy and Canada. A special thank you to all the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital Dialysis Unit.

Fisher, William Frederick 1943-2009

After a short battle with cancer, Bill, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in his 66th year. Beloved father of Ron (Lisa). Dear son of Anne. Predeceased by his brothers Ian and Dennis. Survived by his sisters Mary and Janice and their families. Will be sadly missed by his extended family Walter, Yvonne and Eric Carr, and John, Cari, Kirsten, Maya and Isabelle Simonovich. Bill was a long time employee of Taylor Steel. A private family cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Bill will be held at later date. If desired, memorial donations made to the VON would be appreciated.

Peacefully, with her family by her side, Giulia passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at the age of 78. Predeceased by her beloved husband Carlo. Loving mother of Doriana (John Krukowski), Enrico (Cheryl), Richard (Kelly), and John (Angela). Dear Nonna of Felicia, Andrea, Jake, Jordan, Anthony, Zachary and Danielle. Survived by her sister Marina and by her sister-in-law Cesira. Will be remembered by other family members in Italy, France and Canada. Will also be missed by her friends and the staff at Willowgrove Long Term Care. Visitation will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Monday, October 27 from 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held on Monday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church, 20 Idlewood Avenue, Hamilton on Tuesday, October 28, at 11 a.m. Interment at Resurrection cemetery. Delmore, Terrance J. 1946-2010

At home in Burlington with family on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the age of 64. He will be remembered always by his wife of 36 years, Betty; his son, Tyler; his daughter, Kira; his brother, Pat; his sister, Brenda; his brother-in-law, Ross; his brother and sister in-laws, Ronald and Jane; his seven nieces and nephews; and many friends. Born in Essex County, the son of Gerald and Evelyn. Terry served as epidemiologist for Niagara and Halton Regions Public Health before retiring in 2001. A world traveler alongside his wife, he devoted his retirement years to gardening, tennis and a climactic trip to Antarctica. The family is exceedingly grateful to Dr. John Holmes for his care, to Dr. Pierre Major, and to family friends and neighbours for their support. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUENRAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from Bayview cemetery , Mausoleum and Crematorium) BURLINGTON (905-527-0405)on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 7 – 9 p.m. Memorial service will held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Carpenter Hospice.

Deley, Michael 1926-2008

Peacefully passed away at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington after a brief illness on Saturday June 21, 2008 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Drobot) for 59 years. Loving father of Duane and his wife Marlene, Kevin and his wife Nancy, and Shawn and his wife Patricia. Proud grandfather of Scott and his wife Nichole, Jim and his wife Angela, Michael and Amanda. Loved great-grandfather of Jeffrey, Rebecca and Ethan. Brother of Anne Korney and Judy Essar of British Columbia. Michael will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mike was predeceased by his parents Matt and Mary Deley and daughter Wendy. The family would like to thank the Doctor’s and Nurses of 3 East at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Private cremation has taken place at Bayview Crematorium, Burlington. A private family gathering will be held on Monday June 23, 2008. Floris, Angelo 1931-2009

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Angelo on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at his home. Loving and devoted husband of 51 years to Michelangela. Loving father to Robert (Gianna) and predeceased by daughter Marina. Dear father in law to Antonio. Cherished nonno to Taylor, Marina, Marcella and Angela. He will be greatly missed by his sister Maria (Alberto) and many relatives in Sardinia, Italy. Angelo came to Canada with a dream when he immigrated from Italy. He was fiercely proud to be a Canadian. He was always grateful to be given an opportunity in this country and to provide a solid base for his family. Fochuk, Nick 1928-2010

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Nick Fochuk, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in his 82nd year. Nick was the devoted husband and best friend of Mary (nee Kamula) and special dad to Candace (Robert), Cindy (Tim), Carrie (Robert) and Christy (Mark). Lovingly remembered by his precious grandchildren Nik, Kira, Nadia, Stephanie, Joel, Brent and Chloe. Nick will be deeply missed by his sister Teenie and brother Mike (Lynda). N.F.-“No Finer” lived a wonderful life. We will miss his happy disposition, his playful winks and his never-ending repair jobs. Mr. Kelly Fong, age 36, passed away suddenly at his home, with his wife at his side, on Saturday December 6,2008. Kelly is survived by his beloved wife Jane, parents Kaye and Judy Fong, Grandparents Henry and Jeannie Wong, mother-in-law Janet Sugden and father-in-law Gary Boyce, brother Kerman (Tammy) Fong and their children Madison and Jakob, brother-in-law Adam Boyce, also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved dog “Sasha”. Predeceased by his Grandfather Foo Lat Fong. A long time employee at Club 54, Kelly will be missed by staff and friends. Forbes, Harvey James 1934-2009

passed away peacefully at the Ian Anderson House in Oakville on Monday February 16, 2009, in his 74th year, with loving companion Frances at his side. Harvey is survived by Leah, his beloved sons Robert, James and Gerald, his daughters-in-law Myrtle, Carolyn, and Elizabeth, his granddaughter Alyssa, and his brothers Roy and Keith. He will be sadly missed by Fran’s daughters Kym and Cindy, and grandchildren Breeann, Mikaela, Aiden and Paighton. Harvey is predeceased by his parents James Cecil and Elsie Jane Forbes. Private interment at Bayview cemetery in Burlington. Special thanks to the Ian Anderson House volunteers and nurses for their compassionate care. Peacefully, at The Carrington Retirement Residence on December 14, 2009. Bernadette (née Clohecy) was the beloved wife of the late Jack Lewington and the late Ernie Ford. Cherished mother of Diane (Dave) Reid, Donna (Steve) MacQuarrie and Herb Lewington. Devoted Nana of Sam, Bernadette, Vanessa, Jessica, Johnathan, Thomas and Allison. “Big Nana” to great granddaughters Mya and Isabella. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Thomas, Hubie and Gerry Clohecy. Many thanks to the staff of The Carrington, especially Bernice, Bev, Erin, Esperanza, Larissa and Stephanie. Also thanks to Rosalee Little from the CCAC.

Fournier, Ronald C.J. 1947-2009

FOURNIER, Ronald Charles Joseph, 62 years, October 10, 2009.

With profound, aching sadness, we are compelled to announce the passing of a quiet and contemplative, loving and loyal man. Ron accepted his illness with dignity, never complaining during this debilitating and painful time. His devoted children, Kim, David, and Tanya, embodied his greatest pride, with whom he shared love and admiration. They are his legacy. Ron’s strength was both inspiring and humbling.

He will be terribly missed by so many: his heartbroken wife Joy, whom he cherished, children, son-in-law Patrick, gentle mother Mary, loving sister and family Cheryl, Rick and Tara, precious granddaughters Bridgitte and Gabrielle, and caring mother-in-law Bella, among countless other family members and friends. Ron’s Stelco friends will remember “The Duke” for his expertise and work ethics, and “Captain Ron” will leave a void on Dock 2 in Port Dover. Predeceased by father Leo Rene Fournier.

We wish to thank those who touched Ron so greatly in this final stage of his life, including all friends and extended family for their strong support and encouragement. Special thanks to Dr. Gunning and nurse Jeannette for their endless compassion and kindness.
