Sugg, Jean McDermid 1920-2009

Suddenly, at McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton on Monday June 29, 2009 in her 89th year. Predeceased by Harold Sugg. Loved mother of Jeannette Donaldson and her husband Neil, Beverly Herechuk and her husband the late William, and Robert Sugg. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Michelle (Brad), Lea-Ann, Danielle, Tracey (John), Troy (Bonnie), Tressa (Brian), and her great-grandchildren Kylee, Shyann, Skylar, Tayler, Alexis, Kevin and Christopher. Dear sister of James Cram and his wife Margaret. A Private Family Service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations are greatly appreciated by the family and may be made to a charity of your choice.

Sullivan, Cyril Allan 1925-2009

Peacefully at home on May 11, 2009 in his 84 year. Beloved husband of Clara for 54 years. Cherished father of James, Cameron (Christine Trimmins), Kelly and daughter in law Charlene Gilmore. Loving Papa of Seana, Marcus, and a forthcoming little Sullivan. Will be missed by many friends in Hamilton and New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Cyril is a Retired Staff Sergeant for the Hamilton Wentworth Regional Police and served his community 36 years, he served 3 years overseas for the Royal Canadian Air Force with the rank of a Flight Officer , a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and has been a member for 52 years at the Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Road, between Upper Ottawa and Upper Gage) on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 2-4p.m. and 7 -9 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the chapel on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canadian Warplane Heritage and The Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother and nana, at home on Monday, December 6th, 2010. Beloved wife and soulmate of Sid (2007). Cherished mother of Korobi (Babu), Anuva (Rob) and Vanessa (John). Most devoted and loving grandmother to Santanu, Sonali (Dev), Jessica (Paul), Jason, Aaron, Christopher and Raymond. Nana to great-grandchildren Lilly and Liam who (along with all her grandchildren) brought pure joy to her life. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place at a later date.

Peacefully at home with her loving family at her side, on Saturday September 20, 2008, Agnes Szabo of Hamilton in her 52nd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Desi Szabo. Loving daughter of Ana Laszlo of Romania. Much loved stepmother of Timea Szabo and Gregor Szabo of Hungary . She will be sadly missed by her sister Ana Zsarka and her brother Daniel Laszlo, both of Romania and by her nieces Agi, Babi, and Beti. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Road East (between Upper Gage and Ottawa) HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Monday September 22nd, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 130 Barton Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday September 23, 2008 at 11a.m. Private Family Interment . Prayers will be offered on Monday 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Dr. Bev Hattersley, Dale Messner and the nurses from St. Joe’s Homecare; Rodica, Claudia, Wendy and Donna.

Szara, Bronislaw 1935-2010

After a two year battle with lung cancer, on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the age of 74.

Beloved father of Krystyna Szara and Janusz (Jola) Szara. Loving Grandpa to Sylvia and Vanessa.

Survived by his brother Josef Szara in Alberta. He will be remembered by many family and friends in Poland.

Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel” on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass at St Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church (8 St Ann St), on Saturday, June 19, at 9am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels cemetery.

Talbot, Leslie "Les" 1929-2009

The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Leslie (Les) on August 25, 2009. Loving and devoted husband, best friend and soul mate of 58 years to Mildred (Millie). Proud father and hero of Brian (Cheryl) and Dean. Cherished grandfather of Adam (Ruthanne), Les (Katie), Kaylee, Kevin and Alyssa and great grandfather of Anna and Alexander. Predeceased by his brothers Frank, Cecil, Vincent, Clifford, and Gordon, and sisters in law Mable, Muriel, Norma and Betty. He will be missed by his sisters in law Mary, Dorothy, Margaret, and Evelyn. Les will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and many friends. Les was an employee of Proctor & Gamble for 32 years. Les’ passion was soccer, he was an avid participant and competitive player until he was well into his 70’s. Les will also be remembered for the love of his home, garden and birds. A memorial service will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 947 Rymal Rd. E (between Upper Gage and Upper Ottawa) HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 1pm. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion 163, 435 Limeridge Road East. Hamilton. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Les’ name to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Tuck (nee McCaffrey), Betty Isabella 1930-2010

Suddenly at home, on Thursday, October 14, 2010, in her 81st year.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas Richard (1984).

Loving mother to Tom, Val (Daryl) Dalton, Bill (Barb), Bob, and Terry (Jennifer).

Forever missed by her grandchildren Nicole, Alex, Brad, and Matt.

Survived by sisters Audrey and Joan. Predeceased by brothers Norm, George, Jack, and sisters Ruby, Lillian, Marg, and Dorothy.

Tuite, Maryanne 1961-2010

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother after a courageous battle with cancer, at age 48. Adored mom of Tom, Katrina, John, Janey and Liam. Survived by loving mom Nora, sisters Noreen and Rose, brother Tom (Allyson) and sons Tyler and Evan. Cherished family member of the Hogan and Tuite Family. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family members in the US and Ireland.The family would like to thank Maryanne’s coworkers at McMaster/St.Joes, Juravinski Cancer Center with special consideration to nurse Linda, nurse Julie, Leslie, Dr. Bowser, Sister Patricia, Bear, and many other wonderful friends for their ongoing love and support. Maryanne and her children would like to give special thanks for the amazing love and support of loved friends Darlene, Linda, Mary and their families.

passed away peacefully at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga on April 9th 2009 in his 75th year. He will be deeply missed by his Wife of 50 years Nettie (Harms) beloved Father of Randy (Kathy), Shelly (Jamie) Cusson. Adoring Grandfather of Tawnya, Richelle, David, Kenny (Trish), James, Ben, Leah & 6 Great Grandchildren. Loving brother to Harley, Bill (deceased) and Ken, Sisters Gwen and Betty. Devoted employee of Westinghouse for 30 years (ret.). Dedicated friend and employee of Air Tool Services and member of the Dundas Golf and Curling Club for 34 years. Special thanks to Dr. Ahmid and the staff of Trillium Hospital Cardiac Care. Cremation has taking place. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Dundas Golf and Curling Club on April 17, 2009 from 3p.m. – 5 p.m. (10 Woodleys Lane, Dundas). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Trillium Hospital would be appreciated.

At St. Peter’s Hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2010, Lenore Urstadt (née Kingston) beloved wife of the late Lloyd Urstadt. Beloved mother to Cheryl Ribbecon, Perry Urstadt, Jim Urstadt, Yvonne Kinrade, Tracy Callaghan all of Hamilton, and Diane Cecato of Guelph. Dear sister of Wilma Christie of St. Catharines, Jean Doiron of Hamilton and Douglas Kingston. Predeceased by her brothers and sister: Allan, Ken, Mary, Jack. Will be sorely missed by many grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Suddenly at home on Thursday, August 13, 2009, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Jack Finch. Predeceased by her first husband Harrison Clayton, sister Betty, and brother Earl. Loved always and forever by her son Mark and his wife Karen and by daughter Carol and her husband Ed. Cherished Nana to grandchildren Kristen (Jamie), Colin (Vanessa), Darren (Monique) and Kelly-Jo (Paul). Adored by her great- grandchildren Alexis, Tyler, Jessica, Gavin, Claire, Eric and Nathan.

One of God's angels in life and death. She filled our lives with laughter and unconditional love. Mom's family always came first. Rhea was a lifetime member of United Church Women. Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington on Monday, August 17th, at 3 p.m. Memorial donations to Laidlaw Memorial United Church would be appreciated by the family.
