Dear grandmother of Jennifer (Rudi Biemond), Kelly, Matt, Samantha and Adam, and great-grandmother of Emily Dorothy. Dorothy was born in Vancouver BC, March 18, 1921, but spent most of her childhood and adolescence in Toronto. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from the East General Hospital in Toronto, with the prize for highest standing in examination. Then worked in the Military Hospital in Toronto during the Second World War. Her greatest energies over the years were always focused on her family. She was also a volunteer in the Royal Ottawa Sanitarium Auxiliary (ROSA) and a very active member of the IODE in Ottawa; becoming Regent of the Lord Dundonald Chapter and subsequently Municipal Regent.
