She will also be greatly missed by 19 nieces, 13 nephews and 1 great nephew. Also survived by her sister Joyce Pruden (and her husband Larry) of Ladysmith, B.C., her cousin Lloyd (Moe) Morrison (and his wife Stella) of London, Ontario, and several dear nieces and nephews. Jarvis, Abigail (Abbie) Grace Elizabeth
After a brave fight with pulmonary hyper tension, Abbie passed away peacefully in her mother Kelly and father Jeff’s arms at CHEO in the Pediatric ICU on November 12, 2009 at the age of 8. Abbie’s Down Syndrome did not limit her from doing some of her favorite activities such as; swimming, gymnastics, golfing but above all, reading, listening to music, watching her movies and chasing after her 2 bothers; Jake and Dylan and her dog D’arcy. Abbie will always be remembered for her out going and joyful personality. Her smile and dimples helped to define her spirit. She was a shining star to all she touched and will be remembered by all who loved her especially her grandparents Peter and Noreen Jarvis; Bruce and Ellen Corneil; her aunt Jenny, her uncle Bob (Fiona), all her extended family and friends. Abbie attended Barrhaven Public School for the last three years in Mrs. Sawyer’s Primary Special Needs Program. She thoroughly enjoyed participating in all aspects of the school environment including getting to know all students and staff on a personal level. She was well known and loved. Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd) on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 18, from 1 p.m. until service time in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Special thanks to the staff at CHEO for all their care and compassion and for making Abbie’s stay comfortable. She will be greatly missed by her Grandchildren Cory, Shannon, Trevor, Michael, Leanne, Brian, Nicholas and Jonathan. Marian was the Great-Grandmother of: Katelyn, Justin, Alyssa, Amanda, Shelby, Chloe Marina, Maude and the Great-Great Grandmother of Alexis.
