Michael was a member of the national executive of St. John Ambulance as Treasurer (1976-80) and Registrar (1982-92), and a Commander in the Order of St. John. An active member of the Anglican Church, Michael's spiritual life deepened during many wonderful years at St. Clement's Eglinton in Toronto, where he twice served as Warden. His move back to Ottawa in 2002 brought him to St. Matthew's parish, where he sang as a choirboy in his youth. A member of the Audit Committee of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada, Michael's faith and dedicated service to God shone through in all aspects of his life.
